No, not getting the Olympics is good for the citizens for Chicago. It’s grindingly awful for the pols who stood to rake in the dough (like Valerie Jarrett on Olympic villages, for example), and humiliating for The One.

He won’t be able to get it up tonight – even if Michelle allows him to touch her, which she certainly won’t. She’ll be out drinking with Oprah.

Actually the reason you don’t have non-latin URLs is because we use IPv4. When the internet moves to IPv6, that problem will be solved.

Not true. IPv4 vs. IPv6 doesn’t have anything to do with adoption of non-Latin (wide/Unicode) domain names. The DNS structure has had for many years the AAA record, which translates a domain name (one component of a URL) to IPv6. What has been lacking is the modifications needed to an AAAA style record to deal with wide characters, and which are addressed in draft RFCs 3490, 3491, and 3492. Dealing with wide characters will require a change to the compute power associated with the root nameservers, given that w_char manipulation is at least twice as slow as char manipulation. Of course, DNSSEC requires equivalent changes in compute power, which may be why the root server changeovers are taking so long.

But ultimately, it’s a good thing for him. As I wrote on Monday, the Olympics are notorious for running massively over budget.

Because, of course, if there is one thing Pres. Obama cannot tolerate is budget overruns.

Not to mention:

Absolutely…if there is anything this Chicago-machine born and bred politico finds insupportable it’s corruption.

I think it is a stunning rebuke of Obama and the Cult of Obama. The international community is not as enamored with him as he thought they were. Maybe if ACORN had been able to infiltrate the IOC things would have turned out differently. See what happens when you have an honest election,,,,,
