MSNBC moron: Republicans not supporting the Olympics is like Jane Fonda supporting the Vietcong
posted at 8:27 pm on October 2, 2009 by Allahpundit
An almost poignant moment here as one of the many leftists who spent the past six years wrestling with his schadenfreude over setbacks in Iraq finally gets an outlet to project his guilt onto conservatives. Truly, celebrating the fact that the Daley machine will have to find another trough of taxpayer money from which to feed is precisely the same as Hanoi Jane sitting on a VC cannon and mimicking shooting down American aircraft. Thanks for confirming every last horrible conservative stereotype about MSNBC, Ed. If they ever move the modern-day Murrow out of the anchor spot, you’re a shoo in.
Stick with the clip to the bitter end or else you’ll miss Jan “Trojan Horse” Schakowsky blaming the entire debacle on Bush. Click the image to watch.

We aren’t anti Olympics or anti Chicago or US. We just loved seeing the O’s stub their toes.
Kissmygrits on October 2, 2009 at 10:10 PM
These un-American leftists are despicable, lying scumbags. They should really all move, since they don’t understand America nor do they like America. They need to go find countries that are more in “the community of nations” that the moron collectivists like – nations that have national airlines and enjoy the government owning the means of production. They don’t belong in an individualistic nation. The Founders are spinning in their graves.
progressoverpeace on October 2, 2009 at 10:11 PM
I think it was rather: 2 corrupt machines go head to head and the “better” machine showed who’s boss.

But the adults are in charge/sarc.

You’re so right. And anyone who thinks that cheering half was made up of only conservatives is dead wrong. You want to know what real deep hatred is? It lies in many Chicagoan progressives who despise Daley with a passion.
misslizzi on October 2, 2009 at 10:17 PM
Ed Shultz is retarded and getting crap ratings. He is jumping one shark after another. Ed at thia rate has a one way trip to Alan Colmes-ville if he is lucky. So long loser.

An ode to Ed.
Oh Ed your so brain dead.
Did your man-mom drop you on your head?
Your show on MSLSD is very mundane
Is it possible you could go do us all a favor and OD on so bad cocaine?
Watching you is like taking a Poo
Is it possible that MSLSD could flush you?
With you MSLSD will always be on the decline
Hopefully soon you will be in a bread line.

Leftists always have this problem. They are unable to distinguish between the legitimate functions of the federal government and those functions that fall outside the federal government’s purview. They like to compare defense spending to social spending, without any sense that national defense is one of the main tasks of the federal government while social issues are relegated to state responsibility. In this instance, they just can’t understand that getting the Olympics is not a national endeavor – we don’t pursue it as a nation, but is something that states and cities pursue on their own, if they choose. But … federalism just flies over the pea-brains of the leftists who yearn for a national superstate where all power comes down from the central national government – very un-American.
To have this Shultz moron compare treason to a task that the federal government has NO BUSINESS involving itself iwth (the Olympics) just shows how truly detached these morons are.
I’m embarrassed to say, but that was funny as all get-out.

What galactic stupidity, but very enjoyable. Can you imagine these boobs, writhing at the IOC’s decision, then immediately turning to Rush’s gleeful, ecstatic show today, and wringing their insides with tortuous, masochistic fervor. Think of the “Ride of the Valkyries” scene from Apocalypse Now. (Imagine Schultz as Broomhilda.)
With every new generation of these in-bred Libs, our job becomes simpler and clearer.

Thanks.
Reminds me of this:
The following statement was made by British Prime Minister, Neville Chamberlain, in front of #10 Downing Street, London, after his arrival home from the notorious Munich Conference of 1938
Less than a year after the agreement, following continued aggression from Germany and its invasion of Poland, Europe was plunged into World War II.

Republicans not supporting the Olympics is like Jane Fonda supporting the Vietcong
Actually supporting a Chicago-based Olympics is like supporting Al Capone and his numerous successors.By the time slum lord Valerie Jarrett, Mayor Richard Daley and cohorts and cronies siphoned off the money, the city would be even more billions in debt to be rescued by yet another taxpayer bailout and the guilty perpetrator would be retired and writing his memoirs. Thank you IOC.

Axelrod…..Obama’s brain.
How long before Axelrod and Hillary jump off this sinking ship.
I think Obama’s going to have a lot of “friends” and other democrats turn out to be his worst enemies in the near future.
When they have to distance themselves from Obama’s failed policies to save their own butts, the finger pointing and backstabbing will begin.
I think Hillary will start to make her move when Obama starts to cut and run from Afghanistan.
Obama’s failure in the Afghan/Pakistan theater will be a major blow to him domestically as well as internationally.
Hillary has already sent out trial balloons showing her dissent with Obama/Biden’s pathetic plan of defeating the jihadist with drones and special ops hits every once in awhile:
How can Obama justify leaving the troops in Afghanistan there if he refuses McChrystal’s recommendation of more troops to turn the tide in Afghanistan.
If we are not winning with the current levels and Obama is not willing to listen to the Generals to send more, you can’t leave our troops there in an already assessed failed situation.
You would have to withdraw to smaller, safer locations or start a troop withdrawal.
Both of these scenarios give al-qaeda/taliban victory in Afghanistan and also Pakistan.
Does Hillary stick around for this to have her name stamped on it.
I doubt it.

Considering how badly the Koreans made the Clinton administration look like naive fools, Madeline will probably ask for it back.

The Olympics are an odd mix of internationalists/NWO types, snobbish European has-beens who have titles of nobility that mean nothing real anymore, and a big money maker for the MSM, Wheaties and the like. Also, it was a showcase for Communism.
The one positive thing about the Olympics is that their athletes actually come from the places they represent, unlike American sports teams and European soccer teams.

Terrye on October 3, 2009 at 7:03 AM
So how come there’s no “Comedy Gold” tag on this post? The fact that they’re running after what they say with such conviction is utterly hilarious!
More hilarity. Ed admitting that the economy is “really dragging”. Here I though teh stimulus fixed everything.
I just don’t get the drama. Where was this massive Republican campaign against the Olympics? I live in the Chicago area, and I completely missed it. Was it, like, in Bettendorf, Iowa, or something?
dissent555 on October 3, 2009 at 7:24 AM
Translation: It is big failure of President Obama.
If Chicago would have won, the liberals would say it wasn`t a win for Chicago or the USA, but rather confirmation that the world loves Obama so much they gave him the Olympics.
A total, slap-in-the-face, bucket of cold water, failure for Team Obama. The first of many to come.
albill on October 3, 2009 at 7:27 AM
Schultz..a perfect name..he knows nothing! nothing!
Bevan on October 3, 2009 at 7:38 AM
ED, we little people didn’t lose the bid for the Olympics for Chicago. The President and his Chicago cronies lost the Olympics for Chicago and the USA. Not everyone is/was caught up in the HopenChange like 52% of our voters and I think the President is starting to see that. People get tired of hearing me and I and want to hear we and us. The Chicago Olympics would have been about our President and not the athletes who work for years to be able to compete.

Didn’t they notice her bare arms? Didn’t they notice her expensive clothes? Don’t they realize the sacrifice she made coming there?

I have a reliable souce, who tells me, Bush actually sent Slappy and his ol’ lady to Denmark to lobby for the Olympics, and to make a fool of themselves.
But,
my source has been known to be wrong, before.
franksalterego on October 3, 2009 at 8:51 AM
Well… like always, these @$$holes aren’t fooling anybody that isn’t already a fool. Unfortunately, there are plenty to go around in the Democratic party.
ronnyraygun on October 3, 2009 at 8:57 AM
Close…the REAL story was the military, who hates ALL Democrats, secretly pulled the two seat trainer version of the SR-71 out of mothballs and secretly flew Bush to Copenhagen to sabotage the Chicago Olympic victory the Michelle Obama & Oprah already had negotiated. Bush & the military got the idea from the secret Bush Sr. SR-71 trip to Iran to free the hostages for the day Reagan was sworn in.
Jeff from WI on October 3, 2009 at 9:00 AM
These Liberals are a laugh.
They’ve forgotten, that the world doesn’t revolve around them, and their gigantic egos.
At the end of the day, most Americans don’t give a hoot in hell where the Olympics are held, because we know we’ll send the best there is, to gobble up the lion’s share of the gold, silver, and bronze, no matter where they are.
This is the Greatest Nation on the face of the Earth… Our pride comes from our people, and what they accomplish… Not some self-centered functionary politician, who’s ego knows no bounds.

All i have to say is WHAT!!!!!
Let me get this straight now..
Democrat leftist hollywood celebrities
99% of whom are TRAITORS
Go to the Enemies side and help them
in their propaganda efforts
Sitting in their quipment meant to kill US GI’S
or worse go to the Enemies home country
where these countries advocate the genoice of all jews
and ALL OF HOLLYWOOD says this is ok..
Now the democrats dont even put together
a HALF ASSED video
and they just haul in obama and his wife
and they think that just because the world loves the
GAG messia and his 300 k a year wife
that the olympic committe MUST
GIVE the olympics to the USA just bcause they send a crappy video and tried to prop it up with an appearance by obama and opra????
And when this falls flat (like all of obamas and the democrats other plans so far).. their response is
Its our AULT??
We are TRAITORS???
BULLSHIT..
the only traitors i have seen is all of the celebrities
ALL OF THE DEMOCRATS IN CONGRESS AND THE HOUSE
AND OBAMA..

Affirmative Action does NOT work outside the borders.
As one poster already noted, I think the biggest story is the fact that Ed is Admitting that what Jane Fonda did was wrong.
Liberals never admit to any wrongdoing, i.e. the Whoppi Rape-rape comment.
A person’s conscience is much more powerful than we give credit to and the liberal conscience DOES come out every once in a while
