Pelosi: Moron who accused GOP of wanting people to die quickly shouldn’t apologize

posted at 3:03 pm on October 1, 2009 by Allahpundit

A communique from the conscience of our nation, who was so troubled by Joe Wilson’s outburst that she not only made sure he was censuredafter he apologized to Obama — but then proceeded to tear up publicly over the state of political discourse in America, just to let you know how much she cares.

How much? This much:

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) says there’s no reason for Rep. Alan Grayson to apologize for his “Die quickly” remark, since Republicans have made statements just as outrageous as his.

“If anybody’s going apologize, everybody should apologize,” Pelosi told reporters at her weekly press conference. “We are holding Democrats to a higher standard than their own members.”

She deemed the flap over Grayson’s remarks a distraction from the healthcare debate.

“Typically, Republicans would like to use this as distraction because they have no plan,” Pelosi said.

I’d call her a hypocrite and a disgrace but, let’s face it, those ships sailed long ago. Meanwhile, here’s a snippet of Teacups on CNN last night, clearly relishing his new role as lunkheaded lightning rod. He’s all about working together, don’t you know, even though (a) according to Cantor, the GOP leadership hasn’t been invited to the White House to talk health care since May and (b) calling your opponents “neanderthals” is, at best, a mighty roundabout way of getting to the road to bipartisanship. Exit schadenfreude: As of today, his House seat’s been downgraded from “leans Democratic” to “toss up.” Keep talking, Grayson.

Democrats plan:

Don’t have children.

But if you do, we will rape them.

We are holding Democrats to a higher standard than their own members

The only explanation of what she means is that she is holding up democrats rather than letting them fall(and fail), which is a standard of theirs. While the Republicans throw Palin, Joe Wilson and anyone else who doesn’t get great media coverage under the bus.

jeffn21 on October 1, 2009 at 4:11 PM

Does anyone seriously think, even on the Dem side, that Pelosi was the best option?

Does anyone seriously think the likes of Reid, Spector, Kerry, Kennedy, Byrd, the entire Black Caucus, and the top leadership of the Demofart Party truly believed Nanzi was their best choice for Speaker? Does anyone truly believe the top Dems would be willing to take her seriously, let alone take orders from her? It’s a boy’s club, and such arrogant men wouldn’t bow to her or any other woman. Sarah Palin as President would drive that old-boy network of liberal males nuts!

Instead, I bet they indulged Nanzi–getting out of the way a mere step that shows them to be ‘progressive’. Nanzi is politics and posturing for the old-boy liberal Dem males. She becomes more shrill every day, which I bet they’re hoping for. Later, they can say she had to go for the sake of the Party though they claim being ‘progressive’.

It’s been a show, like Ferarra was VP nominee to a losing presidential candidate 20 years ago. It’s all tactics.

Don’t expect another woman as Speaker from the Dem side for the next twenty years; that side of progressiveness is out of the way. The same for Obama if he gets voted out in 2012.

Like the libs say, it’s a rich white man’s club–the Congress. If the old Dems don’t lead that notion, they’re surely a part of it.

Keep watching, get a new microwave, and lay up a lot of popcorn.

Allah, did you edit out the part when the fellow panel members reminded Grayson that the democrats don’t need one single republican vote to pass any health care bill they choose to dream up?

Would the Dems make up their damned minds? It’s either

“Republicans have no plan.” — Nancy P.
“Republican’s Plan: Die soon seniors!” – A. Grayson

Oh, I get it. Republicans want Nancy Pelosi to die real soon cause she is a senior. Who has outlived her usefulness on the planet. Or something.

Nevermind.

BigAlSouth on October 1, 2009 at 4:17 PM

Grayson’s argument seems to be that people wouldn’t be able to survive without government help.

I think he shouldn’t judge others by himself.

Socratease on October 1, 2009 at 4:18 PM

HeyNoDonkey, you said it well, plain and simple to understand.
If folks would look at the foreclosure crisis in this country they would see that California, Florida, Ohio and Nevada lead the nation and have suffered the largest hits.
Look a little further and you see the ass-clowns from these states lead the DC crowd in wanting to change America.
I agree with you, no apologies wanted, just want them to go the hell home and stay there. Buy gold, hide it and invest in weapons and ammunition.

He should have held up two photos in his speech. The first one of Michael Moore ( as shown on drudge right now ) and the second one being the Joker Poster of the Great Won and said these folks represent me and my fellow voters back in Florida.

Wonder how this guy feels about death panels.

And how he feels about a “science czar” who believes the government has the right to put sterilizing/aborting drugs in the drinking water.

Or forcing people to take an immunization that contains the same substance which caused Gulf War Syndrome – with effects that only show up AFTER the tests of a drug’s safety have concluded. An immunization campaign specially targeting school children and pregnant women – those who would suck out “Mother Earth’s life force” the longest if they weren’t aborted first. Obama so graciously offers to be the last person to get immunized.

But this guy has the gall to say that somebody else wants people to die because of healthcare? Nothing should be able to surprise me any more.

justincase on October 1, 2009 at 4:39 PM

Democrats know that it is easy to fool their followers and they will believe anything that is fed them. Send these freaks home and they will be good mentors for the do-nothing want everything free kool-aid drinking fools back home.

so is the argument of the supporters of America’s Biggest Holocost, the killing of millions of unborn babys. I wonder when the artist and the teachers unions will teach the kids songs about that?

Exit schadenfreude: As of today, his House seat’s been downgraded from “leans Democratic” to “toss up.”

Sweet.

And may I say, You lie, Nancy! I do wish the Republicans would forcefully and repeatedly call the despicable Dems out on the pathetic lie that we don’t have a plan and point out that the only one who doesn’t have a plan is Barry O.

In typical Republican fashion, we’re doing a bad job of relaying the fact that we do have a plan and the sad result is that I betcha if you polled the peeps the vast majority would say that we have no plans.

The two are equivalent. Having no plan means your best bet is to die quickly.

The Party that supports abortion on demand has the nerve to accuse others of a “holocaust”.

Sick bastards doesn’t begin to describe these people.

Liberalism is a mental disorder, truly.

I agree that the GOP needs to not focus on an apology so much as work on his “bipartisanship” and “they have no plan” statements. They can make a lot more head way exposing those canards then worrying about an apology.

Sarah Palin could slice and dice him in two sentences.
