Quotes of the day

“Palin’s choice of Vincent suggests that hers will be, emphatically, a partisan tract. And it is of a piece with a post-election posture in which the nation’s most intensely popular, and most intensely unpopular, Republican has chosen to deepen her bond with her base at the cost of antipathy from the independent voters who decide presidential elections.

‘Sarah Palin is not a Washington person – that’s her whole schtick – so she’s not going to get some inside the Beltway writer,’ said Sara Nelson, a longtime publishing industry watcher who is books editor of Oprah Winfrey’s Magazine, ‘O.’

‘The success of this book will rise and fall on who much it appeals to the Christian right,’ Nelson said.”

I just have one question…does anyone else wonder if Joy Behar has a smelly tree dangling between her legs? Just a question.

HornetSting on September 30, 2009 at 11:13 PM

What the hell kinda talk is that from a lady?

Lanceman on October 1, 2009 at 8:50 AM

the stage is set….the talking points have gone out.

If the book succeeds it will be because of the “christian right”.

And the Politico Republicans (A/K/A RINO’s) are pushing Pawlenty? Please…..they are not scared of Pawlenty it’s Sarah they fear.

Pawlenty, Huckster, Mittens and Jeb Bush are in a room of voters……. >>>crickets chirp, voters yawn<<<

Rush was very nice to the lady and built her up after the call. He told Coco to put the audio on the website. So it should be there today.

kingsjester on October 1, 2009 at 8:56 AM

I do not like to see AC being chummy with lightweights like Behar. It makes me worry that she is catching that disease that so many conservatives have caught, popularity with the cool people. She should have told Behar that for her to call Palin incoherent, she would have to know what coherent was, and she doesn’t. And she should have told Behar to STFU while I’m talking.

drunyan8315 on October 1, 2009 at 9:06 AM

And what are the negatives? Is that the lefts point of view?
Can anyone list Palin Negatives?

She hasn’t sold book one and yet she tops the charts.

Where’s the beef negatives?

Let’s do some math. Negatives. Real or Imaginary?

The negatives are the lefts opinion, not the conservative opinion. Don’t let the lefts opinion bleeding heart corrupt you into believing what the current snake oil salesman in office would have your believe.

What Negatives. List ONE. That makes sense…. think carefully before you submit comment.

Kini on October 1, 2009 at 3:11 AM

I love Sarah Palin, but I do see negatives that will continue to dog her. The biggest is the disgusting success of the Saturday Night Live spoofs of her. Don’t think they won’t continue as long as Sarah’s in the public eye.

SNL has been a sham for decades now, but the Tina Fey crap is working far too well with far too many. It goes to show how much money and success can be had with a no-talent cast, a brain dead audience, and a political agenda on the line.

I only wish there was a conservative version of SNL with the Barry Admin f*king up the country 24/7, making an ass out of himself before the world. A “nuke-free world”? Yeah Barry, go smoke another doobie, you tool!

Sweet_Thang on October 1, 2009 at 9:08 AM

Hey, you pseudo-intellectual misfits . . . the woman is number 1 on two best seller lists and her book doesn’t even have a cover. Behar’s IQ is without a doubt less than the sum of her digits.

rplat on October 1, 2009 at 9:15 AM

Where’s the passion from the conservative men? Other than Rush, it’s pretty quiet out there. When are the husbands and fathers in this country going to stand up like Susan did and get the attention of those in Washington who don’t seem to want to listen to the American people? Don’t know what it will take to do that since 2million or so Tea Party marchers didn’t seem to do the trick, but there’s gotta be something. Hey, guys, time to stand up and start protecting your families.

What I noticed most was that Ann let her change the subject. She actually jumped on the Gadhafi thing. That was highly disappointing. Yes, Ann said ‘no she isn’t incoherent,” but she didn’t argue it and give reasons and Behar got the last dig in on Sarah without a rebuttal. I want the big bad meannie Ann Coulter I’ve come to know and love back.

When did we land in this parallel universe where anything these shrill, loud-mouthed liberals say gets overboard media attention and no matter how outrageous, nasty, hateful, and mostly false get treated with credibility. Repeat a lie long and loud enough and people start to believe it, seems to be the democrats’ creed.

mozalf on October 1, 2009 at 9:39 AM

Won’t it be fun is Palin’s book outsells Obama? He’s already scared as heck of her and feels he has to attack her in his speeches.

IMHO, given a staff that has her best interests at heart, Palin can nail it. She’s going to appeal to moms who put their kids first, business owners, people of faith (not just Christians) and average America. She’s smart, she listens to good advice and is plain spoken, and so far, I haven’t caught her playing “word games” like our current President is becoming quite fond of. Most importantly, she’s not an “insider”.

In short…. how can she possibly be worse? I supported McCain because I felt he truly put the country first in his heart, but I supported his choice of Palin as running mate far more. I ended up really disappointed in how the party “insiders” chose to behave towards her. She was their best asset and they blew it.

All she needs is a creative take down of Tina Fey and she’s well on her way…..

Only in a liberal world would the likes of Ms. Behar be tolerated and given her own show. Also, only in a liberal world can a book be reviewed and lambasted before it is printed.

Only in a liberal world can their champion Gore Vidal expose how President Obama is leading them down the ‘Yellow Brick Road’ to OZ and dictatorship, and they do not even say a thing. They appear so mind numbed they need their Public Health Care to euthanize them. Remember the title of the popular series on health care in the 50′s ‘MASH’ appears to have become their mantra “Suicide is Painless” .

Jooooy…It’s the 80′s calling and they want their hairstyle back!!!! Green is not a good color on that one!

I like to ask Palin haters the following question:

Do you think Sarah Palin would claim cap and trade would cost an average family about $170 (approx) a year and hide the fact that the OMB figured out that it would actually be $1700 (approx) a year?

Obama did that.

Not even Palin haters think she would hide those numbers.

What else do we need to know about her? At this point someone whe is NOT LYING is a big plus.

Stephanie on October 1, 2009 at 11:44 AM

I’m still somewhat surprised Joy has her own show…apparently the supply of booger eating morons in Hollywood is at an all-time low.

Wyznowski on October 1, 2009 at 12:31 PM

So NOT being a Washington insider is a “schtick“?

Huh.

No wonder these people have no clue about the citizenry.

Lady talk goes out the window when Joy Behar is the topic of discussion. LOL, I keep imagining a smelly dangling tree as one of those air fresheners in taxis! Is that what Hornet Sting was talking about?

There was, it was called… “The Half Hour News Hour”

No one watched…?

Geezer on October 1, 2009 at 2:46 PM

Damn! I only read the piece because of Ann Coulter. Ann has
100 times the brains and abilities of Behar. I figured she would show Behar up for what she is…STUPID! Is Coulter losing her fire?

Jakefut on October 1, 2009 at 3:52 PM

Behar said she already signed the “do not resucitate” form … I guess someone could’t read.
