Just another item on the list somebody is putting together in DC for things to investigate if the GOP takes back the house. You would think that the Obama people would be a little more nuanced now that there is open talk of the GOP possibly having the ability to air the whitehouse’s dirty laundry in the future.

rw on September 30, 2009

Obama knows that the spineless eunuchs of the GOP (Dem-lites/RINO's/statists) wouldn't investigate a double homicide in the congressional cloakroom with 50 witnesses. They are gutless slugs, equally deserving of replacement along with all the Dems.
If we do that in 2010 the net effect would be conservative GOP takeover of the House (one can dream, can't one?). Then, perhaps, we can have real investigations of rampant corruption.

[...] Ed Morrissey: Offering positions paid by taxpayer money to potential challengers to Democratic incumbents is political corruption of the worst kind. It involves interfering with the choices made by Coloradans, conversion of public funds for partisan purposes, and the appointment of officials for cheap politics rather than qualifications. In fact, I seem to recall a presidential candidate who campaigned on changing that kind of Beltway politics. One candidate based his run on Hope and Change, on full transparency, on judgment and clean government. He promised a New Direction, not Chicago-on-the-Potomac. Who was that masked man, anyway?
The DNC has every right, like the RNC, to back candidates. However, from what I’m reading, the DNC isn’t raking in the dough.

The corporate support has dried up.

Say what? The corporate support for DNC dried up, therefore it's OK to back candidates with WH (i.e. taxpayer) money?

OT, but still an impeachable offense:

What ever happened with Gerald Walpin being fired? Or did that get flushed down the memory hole?

Weak incumbents usually draw primary opposition. The good news is that Bennett will probably be easier to beat than Romanoff.

The bad news is Bennett will cast a vote for Obamacare prior to the election.

He's quoting me, I think disparagingly.

I don't think slamming Obama for turning to career politicians to run agencies, or smothering candidates in primaries, is foul play. Bush did both. Maybe he didn't combine them, but so what if he had? If USAID is not a waste of tax dollars, and Obama has the freedom to pick a Dem who he liked from Obama's campaign, what's the difference here?
