Just because a child grows up, a crime committed against that child does not transform into a crime committed against an adult. But even if it did, rape is a vile crime. It’s vile against a child. It’s vile against an adult. And even if that weren’t so vile, he still fled to avoid the consequences of his actions.

So, let me recap. His crime was against a child. That crime was rape. And he is a coward.
