Not that there’s anything wrong with that – unofficially, we’d estimate that 90 percent of the books published by politicians are heavily ghost-written. (A notable exception: Barack Obama, whose “Dreams from My Father” was considered by many critics to have real literary merit.)

Hmm… I wonder why Mathew Shaer went sooo far out of his way to try and legitimize Obama’s literary ‘effort’.

Not just a work with literary merit, but a work of singular literary genius, we are told. A work which single-handedly defines the difference between himself and Sarah Palin.

As stated above, he’s certainly a literary genius, but probably not the kind of genius the left thinks he is. He’s a literary genius for mimicking the sophisticated literary style of a man he ostensibly met the same year he published his own autobiography, which he had reportedly spent the previous 5 years writing. Yes, that is quite a feat. Just not the feat we hear hosannas being sung to him for on a regular basis.
