The states are responsible for medicaid. That is their job. The Feds come up with funds and all that, but the states administer this program. That is why some states have more generous benefits than others. So anything the feds do to cut medicaid, will impact the individual states and their budgets.

I am surprised at how many people do not seem to know that.

I don’t think that’s true. Medicaid recepients I know, anyway, don’t vote. This is a highly underemployed/underpaid group, often with children to raise.

I have some complaints. One young woman I know is being pressued to have a tubal ligation by her doctor. I don’t say anything, but the doctor seems entirely too pushy to me.

And she had a very bad experience with the office staff being thoughtless about her medical history. Not good.
