I think Obambi is worse than Carter. I am old enough to remember the hostage crisis. While Carter was hiding under his desk whining about “diplomatic immunity” and thinking those crazy radical islamic terrorists were going to play by the “kings rules of diplomacy”, our country was just winding down from LOSING the Vietnam war, again thanks to the liberals who gave up on victory.

Obambi is Commander in Chief to a STRONG military, albeit a reduced in size military, but still this military knows how to WIN. Instead, this pantywaste is wee weeing his pants because he doesn’t know what to do.

Meanwhile, our soldiers are trying to fight over there as best they can and too many are getting killed because of C-i-C NObama’s Kumbaya Rules of Engagement and his aversion to Victory as a military goal.

He knows this. He doesn’t care. After all, they are his toys to play with. If he breaks a few, so what? He’s got plenty and no emotional attachment to any of them. At this point his end cannot come soon enough.

I think McCrystal did the right thing to assess and give a reality check, rather than pretend it was going to work out more easily.

What we WERE winning under GWB is that we were being proactive instead of reactive to an enemy that has been trying to destroy us since 700 AD.

I’ve worked with the military long enough to be able to make some educated guesses. Namely that there was enough intelligence gathered during the early Afghanistan operation to mandate that we move against Saddam and Iraq ASAP.

There are only three things that radical islam will accept from us non believers

a. Death
b. Conversion
c. Dhimmitude (A total submission to their law

That’s it, there is no other choice. Oh, and as far as the numbers of ‘radical islamists’, we are talking hundreds of millions.

Radical islam has been held in check previously through the efforts of leaders like Charles Martel and Jan III Sobieski when his 3000 winged Hussars smashed 30,000 Turks and Tatars at the battle of Vienna in 1683.

GWB, because of the politically correct environment, could not take the stance of Sobieski “First ve kill dem, den ve count dem”. He was hamstrung by the leftists and myopics in congress and the press.

To answer your question, I’m not sure what we are doing there now with our jugears in chief at the helm but whatever it is, it isn’t giving me a warm fuzzy feeling.

I had attended a speech by GWB where he did drop a hint as to his overall strategy. It was basically to give some of the people there a taste of freedom and democracy and hope it spreads. I’m not sure that would have worked under GWB and I’m almost certain it won’t work under the Chicago Community Acorn Organizer.
