Obama’s man in Honduras claims Israelis torturing him with radiation

posted at 10:55 am on September 24, 2009 by Ed Morrissey

The man that Barack Obama insists the Hondurans should restore to power now claims that Israelis are torturing him with mind rays and toxic gases while holding out in the Brazilian embassy in Tegulcigalpa.  Manuel Zelaya, removed from office by order of the Honduran parliament and Supreme Court but still recognized as president by the Obama administration, says the current interim government has hired Israeli mercenaries, who beam radiation at his head from outside the embassy:

It’s been 89 days since Manuel Zelaya was booted from power. He’s sleeping on chairs, and he claims his throat is sore from toxic gases and “Israeli mercenaries” are torturing him with high-frequency radiation.

“We are being threatened with death,” he said in an interview with The Miami Herald, adding that mercenaries were likely to storm the embassy where he has been holed up since Monday and assassinate him. …

Zelaya was deposed at gunpoint on June 28 and slipped back into his country on Monday, just two days before he was scheduled to speak before the United Nations. He sought refuge at the Brazilian Embassy, where Zelaya said he is being subjected to toxic gases and radiation that alter his physical and mental state.

So this is the calm, rational leadership that Barack Obama envisions for Honduras!  Obama much prefers a president given to tinfoil-hat conspiracy theories and knee-jerk anti-Semitism.  At least this makes sense of the Van Jones appointment.

I’ve contacted the White House for comment.  If and when I get a response, I will add it as an update to this post.  In the meantime, regarding Obama’s curious attachment to Zelaya, I can only offer this refrain from one of my favorite poems, “Pig’s Song”:

It was early last September
As near as I can remember
While strolling down a lane in tipsy pride
Not a word did I utter
As I lay down in the gutter
When this pig came up and lay there by my side

Not a soul was I disturbing
As I lay there by the curbing
When this high toned lady come
And I heard her say,
“You can tell a man who boozes
By the company he chooses” …

So the pig got up and slowly walked away.

If this is really the serious opinion of the former President of Honduras, I can only conclude that his election must have been assisted by an outfit akin or allied with ACORN.

And Obama, we judge a man by the company he keeps. Follow my drift?

Yeah, because, you know, Israel is completely focused on some Obama-backed tinpot idiot who can’t even avoid his own soldiers trying to seize him, instead of concentrating on Iran trying to “wipe them off the map”.

And, in unrelated news…

The Whitehouse today directed the FCC, and the Pentagon, to do a new study of possible mind control radiation in the US.

When questioned as to why, an unnamed Administration source said “the President is convinced that there is some power working against overpowering Charisma, or Health care would have passed alread”.

OBAMA DITHERED, ZELAYA’S BRAINSTEM WITHERED

Jim Treacher on September 24, 2009 at 12:12 PM

The Brazilians are being embarrased badly in this little fiasco and now they are pointing fingers.
Translation is mine and was done double quick so it has grammatical errors but you guys will get the gist.

Local media said today that highly placed Brazilian government officials have accused the president of Venezuela, Hugo Chávez, of orchestrating the plan to return deposed Honduran president, Manuel Zelaya, to Tegucigalpa. Zelaya has taken refuge at the Brazilian Embassy.

Senior advisers to Brazilian president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and officials of the Brazilian Foreign Ministry that have been contacted by the Sao Paulo based newspaper “O Estado”, have asserted that the planning, “infrastructure”, logistics, and guidance to use the Brazilian embassy” for the clandestine return of Zelaya was directed by Chavez.

The unexpected arrival of Zelaya to the Brazilian embassy has caused an unprecedented and difficult to resolve diplomatic situation because there is no legal mechanism to grant asylum or refuge at the embassy, since the Brazilian ambassador was withdrawn at the beginning of the current Honduran political crisis.

Brazilian officials insist that Chavez instructed Zelaya to seek refuge at the Brazilian Embassy specifically because it would be the “most secure” place to be since President Lula is leading the international pressure to restore the deposed president. ”

Brazil, USA and Chile, among others, are insisting that the Government of Roberto Micheletti, negotiate with Zelaya, who is “protected” as a “mediator” by the earlier efforts of Costa Rican President Oscar Arias.

It is estimated that a hundred people, including relatives and friends of Zelaya, are within the Brazilian embassy.

On Wednesday, the Brazilian Chamber of Deputies approved the dispatch of a parliamentary mission to Honduras, composed of congressmen allied to Lula and the opposition, who agree that the issue should be handled delicately.

The mission, however, faces difficulties due to the closure of Honduran airports, the sporadic outbreaks of street violence and the need for a permission from the Honduran Congress to allow them entry, since Brazil unilaterally broke off diplomatic relations with Honduras earlier this in the crisis.

The newspaper said that the Brazilian Foreign Ministry has “officially” asked Zelaya to refrain from making incendiary statements or engage in political incitement while in the Brazilian embassy.

Meanwhile, Lula whom is in New York, attending the General Assembly of the United Nations, has called for a meeting to order the restitution of Zelaya.

http://www.laprensa.hn/Especiales/Ediciones/2009/09/24/Noticias/Brasil-Chavez-orquesto-plan-para-retorno-de-Zelaya

Keep in mind as soon as Zelaya started inciting his Marxist supporters to “overthrow” the Honduran government from the roof of the Brazilian Embassy, on Monday, it lost its immunity under international law.

LOL!

So Brazil broke off diplomatic relations and now their embassy is being used as a staging site for the leader of a failed coup?

You’re right, elduende — that embassy building lost its status as Brazilian territory.

Former President Carter has contacted the de facto president of Honduras to urge a resolution to the crisis in the Central American country, the Carter Center said Thursday.

Former President Carter has expressed “his concern about the current situation” in Honduras, a spokeswoman says.

“President Carter has been in touch with the Honduran government to express his concern about the current situation,” spokeswoman Deanna Congileo said via e-mail.

“He is not offering himself as a mediator, but rather supporting the mediation of [Costa Rican] President Oscar Arias and the Organization of American States mission.”

Johana Pudguet, a spokeswoman for de facto President Roberto Micheletti, earlier said that Carter had “reached out” to the interim leader.

It is not clear if deposed Honduran President Jose Manuel Zelaya received a call from Carter.

watching the BiBi speech at the UN is mezmerizing

I remember when we had a real President who looked after the interests of our nation . . .

Now we have a two-bit, juvenile delinquent in the White House who is living out his Malcolm X wannabe fantasies.

Good lord this is despicable.

Tegucigalpa,

Honduras

The President of the Honduran Central Bank, Sandra Midence, is lamenting the fact that $163.3 million dollars that had been promised to Honduras by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) have been “redirected” to ex functionaries of the prior government. (Zelaya cronies)
Despicable

So is the IMF funding a Coup by the Zelaya cronies – money for them to pay the Chavez armies to defeat the jooo death beam, okay all kidding aside, money for Chavez or some other despot to overthrow the constitutional government in Honduras?

All those little countries supporting Honduras and each other – it looks like a real David and Goliath at the UN.

Jew Beams?

Sounds like too much Jim Beam to me.

On the other hand, is there such a thing as too much Jim Beam?

Urp. Nevermind.

It’s always the Jews, isn’t it? Idiots. Denial of the devil’s existence gets harder and harder.

Israeli government sources in Miami said they could not confirm the presence of any “Israelis mercenaries” in Honduras.

Brilliant. Better than a denial, even better than a “no comment”. “Could not confirm” will only stoke the fevered imagination of Zelaya.

I mean, it’s possible that some ex-IDF guys are working as mercs. Israel has had military ties with some Latin American governments. So if a nutjob like Zelaya wants to talk about secret Israeli ray machines, I say hand him a shovel and tell him to keep digging.

I’m just wondering how Zelaya was able to sneak himself past all those clever Jew mercenaries and get into the Brazilian embassy.

Jeanie

Being mad as a hatter and a socialist are much the same thing.

watching the BiBi speech at the UN is mezmerizing…a real man with real cojones

Bibi’s always put me off with his personal ambition, but he’s very strong on policy both domestic and foreign. Israel has one of the more vital economies in the world due to policies he put in place with the help of Natan Sharansky when Bibi was prime minister the first time and even more so due to privatization and other initiatives he pushed while finance minister 5 years ago.

Since Sharansky has left politics (he got tired of resigning in protest), Bibi’s probably the best choice Israel has right now.

Have you noticed that Obama never seems to manage more than one priority at a time, and then he needs someone to figure it out for him. Guess that is what organizers are all about, finding one prority and hoping someone eles will take care of it for him.
