Sweet: Eleven countries walk out of Ahmadinejad’s Israel-bashing UN speech

posted at 8:56 pm on September 23, 2009 by Allahpundit

The eleven, according to a European source: Argentina, Australia, Britain, Costa Rica, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, New Zealand … and the United States. I assume our guys wouldn’t have bolted without the White House’s approval, so kudos to The One for showing a bit of principle. Every year this degenerate does his same Jew-baiting shtick — “It is no longer acceptable that a small minority would dominate the politics, economy and culture of major parts of the world by its complicated networks” — and every year our moronic media lines up to interview him. And every year, it’s the same tedious crap. WaPo’s turn to bang its head against the wall:

Q. Iran is trying to improve its relationship with the West, as I understand it. It is clear that there was a Holocaust. Why would you say there was no Holocaust? Do you feel there should be no Jewish state ¿ no Israel?

A. What I am saying is extremely clear. It is an academic approach to a crucial subject and also one based on humanitarian considerations. What I am saying here is that in past history many events have happened and in World War II many crimes were committed. Over 60 million people were killed and even more were displaced. So we have several specific questions with regard to the events of World War II and I believe we cannot find the answers to these questions through the propaganda that is promoted by the media. In the end, the questions need convincing answers. The first question that I have to try and understand is why in the midst of all that happened in World War II, the Holocaust is emphasized more than any other [event]?

Q. Let’s say that Stalin’s crimes were equally great.

A. The second question is, why do Western politicians focus on this issue so much? The third question is how does that event connect with issues that we see around us in the world today? Was this a historical event that happened in isolation without impacting the present conditions? The next question we should ask ourselves is if the event did take place, where did it happen, who were the perpetrators, what was the role of the Palestinian people? What crime have they committed to deserve what they have received as a result? Why exactly should the Palestinian people be victimized? Are you aware that over 5 million Palestinians have been displaced and have had refugee status? What role did they play in the Holocaust? Why is the Holocaust used as a pretext to occupy the land of other people? Why should the Palestinian people give their lives up for it? You are probably aware that there have been embargos on the people of Gaza.

Two clips for you, one of the walkout and the other of A’jad showing his elephantine balls in heralding Iran as the most democratic country in the world, this year’s sham election and resulting bloodbath notwithstanding. Not pictured: The tiny terrorist railing against the evils of capitalism, which will play well with Chavez and the Latin American countries he’s trying to cultivate as a western power base.

It came from Zelaya himself in a TV interview tonite.

elduende on September 23, 2009 at 9:59 PM

I suppose now we’re going to have to get a new UN Ambassador. Then, of course, another speech apologizing for insulting the little guy, and maybe a fist bump or a bow or something.

applebutter on September 23, 2009 at 10:00 PM

Watching Gretta, there appeared to have been thousands of protesters against the goon from Iran…

… Maybe Bill O’ will say a couple of people showed up.

Seven Percent Solution on September 23, 2009 at 10:07 PM

I would have preferred the US delegation staying and donning the green shirts that the Iranian citizens wore while getting shot and beat down. That may have been something the little thug might not have expected!

chickasaw42 on September 23, 2009 at 10:11 PM

i have gotten into this habit of sending the obama messages. The white house gives you i think three selections, “A Message of Congratulations, a Policy question, or a non-policy question”.

Anyway, to quote today’s email: “Dude, your speech today was a disgrace! U need 2 man up!!!”

I highly recommend this–I’ve never had a response except for David Axelrod’s mysterious emails of a month ago

Maybe there is some anonymous intern tabulating the fors and the againsts

But whether there is someone there or not, i feel better!

phillypolitics on September 23, 2009 at 10:12 PM

No comments from the resident anti-semite Paulbot trolls about how the Juice made these eleven countries walk out?

Huh.

“so kudos to The One for showing a bit of principle”

Pull-eze Allah. He looked for what the other kids were doing.

RobCon on September 23, 2009 at 10:20 PM

Obama: “Uh. Is there any way we can blame this on Bush?”

applebutter on September 23, 2009 at 10:22 PM

Walk out? BFD
These drama queen snits for the camera mean nothing to kids being slaughtered in Iran.
Once the delegates straigten their panties they will go back to business as usual.

RobCon on September 23, 2009 at 10:26 PM

Canada walked out too. From the Canadian broadcasting collective.

expatmanca on September 23, 2009 at 10:32 PM

OT: So it turns out that there is a report tonite that claims that Zelaya was smuggled back into Honduras on a Venezuelan Air force plane that first landed and refueled in leftist El Salvador then made a beeline for the US air base (Soto Cano)in Honduras. From the airbase it looks likes the State department drove him in the dark of night to the Brazilian embassy.

It appears Obama and Chavez are now coordinating their efforts to collapse Honduran democracy. DESPICABLE.

elduende on September 23, 2009 at 9:14 PM

It’s also gutless. Why didn’t they drive him to the American embassy?

ProfessorMiao on September 23, 2009 at 10:39 PM

Good call by Barry… this time.

The eleven, according to a European source: Argentina, Australia, Britain, Costa Rica, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, New Zealand … and the United States.

What? No Honduras? Oh, that’s right, Obama doesn’t recognize this legitimate country that happened to follow its supreme court rulings. How silly.

Rovin on September 23, 2009 at 10:45 PM

I can’t believe it.

alliebobbitt on September 23, 2009 at 10:47 PM

The US walkout was a message to Russia.

OldEnglish on September 23, 2009 at 10:51 PM

Good thing we walked out. Gotta admit that was pragmatic and it would not have played well at home if we didn’t.

OxyCon on September 23, 2009 at 10:51 PM

But they sat there and listened to Qadaffi?

Dr. ZhivBlago on September 23, 2009 at 11:17 PM

Odd… 11 countries walk out and Obama kicks off the bashing!

jeffn21 on September 23, 2009 at 11:24 PM

Is it just me, or does the translator sound like she is about to laugh at what she has to translate?

eclark1849 on September 23, 2009 at 11:28 PM

Good on the President. I’ll call him out when I think he’s wrong, but I have to acknowledge when he does the right thing.

Dr. ZhivBlago on September 23, 2009 at 11:17 PM

I guess it’s like watching a train wrek. You…just…can’t…look away!

Rightwingguy on September 23, 2009 at 11:37 PM

Anyone else a little surprised that Argentina walked out? I thought they were stuck neck-deep up Chavez’s ass, who as we know, is Ahmadinejad’s new BFF.

MisterPundit on September 23, 2009 at 11:38 PM

Kudos for giving the ok to walk out, Obama.

Let’s see, you’re still batting below the Mendoza line, though. You need to stop striking out so much, too.

Got MLB ’09 The Show on the brain tonight.

ConDem on September 23, 2009 at 11:44 PM

Congrats to Obama and the foreign policy staff for doing the right thing. Now please, please, please don’t try to make excuses for it on Thursday if some of your core supporters start going off on their normal rants about how Israel controls U.S. Middle Eastern foreign policy.

jon1979 on September 23, 2009 at 11:58 PM

I think when a-jad reached the part about “Iran is one of the most democratic countries”, the translator had to hold down a giant giggle/guffaw.

AlexB on September 23, 2009 at 11:59 PM

I thought parts of the second clip had a few Obama statements from earlier speeches.

Argentinian Jews were massacred by Iranian agents in Buenos Aires in the 90s.

elduende on September 24, 2009 at 12:27 AM

New thought, anyone find it odd the two groups that were targeted for systematic eradication are the two groups that Obama has turned his back on?

Between the Jews and the Poles Obama is setting the deck so their enemies can come finish the job, I’d watch out if I were you Armenia, India,Rwanda and Sebria.

Rbastid on September 24, 2009 at 12:28 AM

. . . kudos to The One for showing a bit of principle . . .

You’ve got to be f***ing kidding me. Obama, if he was involved, did this as a matter of principle and not a matter of protecting his rickety Israel flank? Suddenly he’s a devout Zionist? Suddenly he didn’t spend 20 years listening to Jeremiah Wright spout about “dem Jews?”

How foolishly ingenuous are you?

Wait. I thought we were all supposed to be apologizing for implying Obama was involved, since Zelaya was in the Brazilian embassy.

If true, it’s impeachment time. This sort of meddling in another country’s government is grounds for war, and the president needs a declaration of war before engaging in it.

Mallard T. Drake on September 24, 2009 at 3:19 AM

who were the perpetrators, what was the role of the Palestinian people?

What role did they play in the Holocaust?

Well, since you asked, a direct role:

The Mufti was one of the initiators of the systematic extermination of European Jewry and had been a collaborator and adviser of Eichmann and Himmler in the execution of this plan. … He was one of Eichmann’s best friends and had constantly incited him to accelerate the extermination measures. I heard him say, accompanied by Eichmann, he had visited incognito the gas chamber of Auschwitz.” – Dieter Wisliceny, Eichmann’s Assistant

Himmler to Mufti telegram 1943.png

“To the Grand Mufti: The National Socialist movement of Greater Germany has, since its inception, inscribed upon its flag the fight against the world Jewry. It has therefore followed with particular sympathy the struggle of freedom-loving Arabs, especially in Palestine, against Jewish interlopers. In the recognition of this enemy and of the common struggle against it lies the firm foundation of the natural alliance that exists between the National Socialist Greater Germany and the freedom-loving Muslims of the whole world. In this spirit I am sending you on the anniversary of the infamous Balfour declaration my hearty greetings and wishes for the successful pursuit of your struggle until the final victory.

Signed: Reichsfuehrer S.S. Heinrich Himmler

Given Obama’s very anti-Israel speech earlier in the day, I’m doubting this was done for any show of pro-Israel strength.

I’m willing to bet he OK’d for the simple matter that Qaddafi ran and hour and 15 minutes over his allotted time and lunch was being served. Don’t read any morality into this one. Obama is no friend of Israel.

MannyT-vA on September 24, 2009 at 4:06 AM

They always say, “Why didn’t we kill Hitler when we had the chance.”, well, now you know why.

ronsfi on September 24, 2009 at 4:30 AM

The existence of Israel and the existence of the UN are completely tied together IMO.

That was the whole point of winning the war and creating the UN in the first place…. to establish Israel as a nation and a homeland for the Jewish people.

If just doesn’t serve them to bash their signature declaration as a true world authority.

Mr Purple on September 24, 2009 at 6:43 AM

Sure we walked out, right after a quick phone call from Obama’s blackberry which had the number on speed dial.

“Hey, Achi, We are going to have to walk out as a show to our people. You understand, every once in a while we have to fool those crazy guys over at HOTAIR, with a little “princple”. But I don’t really mean it. You keep on killing your troublemakers, and spinning those centrifuges. We cool. Catch you on the flipside.”

Right. Like Obama cares about Israel. Even a little. After nearly forty-seven years of being immersed in the left/socialist/communist/black theology love tank for the Jewish people. That makes sense.
The problem here, as well as other places, is what I talk about in my blog. It is our nature to look for the best in people, we do it personally, professionally and politically. Even though the facts tell us different, we keep hoping. Maybe we are just working too hard to try and understand Obama from the point of view that he is just screwing up and acting out the “rookie” part of his administration. More and more we have to work harder to explain what are bigger and bigger missteps. Maybe it isn’t him at all. Maybe it is us, and our good nature. (His treatment of Honduras and his “I wish I knew how to quit you” love affair with Chavez made me see the light. Would you have ever thought our President, the leader of the greatest democratic republic, would work to force a small democratic country into a dictatorship? Ever?)

Read and see what you think:

Glad to see we joined the walk-out…

Except we’re the freakin’ U.S. of A…we’re supposed to be LEADING such a walk-out, not following. Even still, I’m just glad to see we were part of it.

The tiny terrorist railing against the evils of capitalism, which will play well with Chavez and the Latin American countries he’s trying to cultivate as a western power base.

It plays well here, which is why the fat liar Michael Moore is a millionaire, ironically enough.

Not to mention, a large percentage of Obama’s base and a larger percentage of his cabinet, are proud Marxists.

There is nothing more despicable and ignorant, than a western Marxist.

NoDonkey on September 24, 2009 at 9:04 AM

Okay, when he does something right, I said I would acknowledge it.

Kudos to Obama for not looking weak and making us stay during that freak’s speech.

Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

Hey Allah, why no love for Canada on this one? They were the first to answer Israel’s call on this and there is no mention of Canadian delegates in your blog post.

I do see a talkback link though.

Lehner on September 24, 2009 at 12:37 PM

Obama’s real intentions about Israel were already reveiled. Here, he’s just throwing a bone to the Jews on the left.

And its very interesting if you think about it. Yesterday, Obama trashed the Israeli settlements as an obstacle to peace. Yet today, he walks out on an anti-semite at the UN bashing Jews.

Notice the distinction. Israel versus Jews. He apparently thinks those two are separate issues. He’s quite ignorant. Israel and Jews are inseparable. What you do to Israel you do to the Jews and vice versa.

Andy in Agoura Hills on September 24, 2009 at 1:10 PM

Is there any evidence of Barry’s approval for a walkout? I have an idea the US folks had a schedule conflict and what with heavy New York traffic, they had to leave for a pressing appointment across town.
/sarc? or not?

Blacksmith8 on September 24, 2009 at 2:52 PM

I must admit, this surprised me. I didn’t think there was any way in hell that our delegation would walk out. The O had to know (and approve it) in advance.

That being said, let’s assume the best about the little dictator from Iran. Let’s assume in his statement that he’s NOT denying the holocaust. Let’s give him the benefit of the doubt that, since it was Europeans who committed the holocaust, it should have been the Europeans who gave up the land that would become a jewish state. Let’s speculate what would have happened.

Does anyone honestly believe that people who think like the little dictator from Iran would have then left Israel alone? Of course not, they would still be trying to murder every jew on the planet. It is their very reason for existence.

That’s what the Obamacrat is counting on… 2 steps forward toward US destruction, then 1 step back, and oh how the moderate wing trumpets his photo op…

Hell NO! Piss on his thugocracy 24/7! These anti-American statist liars, and killers of American exceptionalism, don’t earn credit for getting on the end of a long line to have their ticket punched.
