Video: New Joy Behar show looks exactly as awesome as you’d expect
posted at 6:21 pm on September 21, 2009 by Allahpundit
To cleanse the palate, a sneak preview of her new gig proving that not even a pedestrian Springer-esque “final thought” about spanking is safe from JB’s preoccupation with the Iraq war. Only eight days ’til launch. Tivo Season Pass? Set.
The era of Fox News dominance is at an end, my friends.

Do people really watch this crap?
Knucklehead on September 21, 2009 at 6:24 PM
Behar has her own show? Not sure, but that sounds like one of the signs of the end times…Gonna go check my Bible.
Battlecruiser-operational on September 21, 2009 at 6:25 PM
Thank God my dad didn’t listen to the PC crappola. He literally kicked my butt every time I needed it–thanks, Dad!
(that’s why I’m a mass murderer)
jgapinoy on September 21, 2009 at 6:25 PM
You keep forgetting the /sarc tag, AP.
Please excuse me. I have a little throw-up in my mouth.
kingsjester on September 21, 2009 at 6:25 PM
Wow. She’s an even bigger train wreck than Rosie.
PBoilermaker on September 21, 2009 at 6:26 PM
Who gave this pile her own show? Are they angling for one of those government bail-outs or something, because any show with this dimwit broad is sure to need one.
AZCoyote on September 21, 2009 at 6:26 PM
Don’t tell me MSNBC passed her up?
Vigilante on September 21, 2009 at 6:26 PM
Yeah. I’m sure this’ll boost CNN’s ratings. LOL!
jjrakman on September 21, 2009 at 6:27 PM
Allah what are you smoking and don’t you want to share so we can understand WTF you are talking about?
Besides.. I am not going to take advice from some liberal who can’t figure out time out’s eaither.
upinak on September 21, 2009 at 6:27 PM
Watch out Olbermann. A crazy one is coming after you the imbecile.
This will be a ratings disaster.
cubachi on September 21, 2009 at 6:27 PM
WOW
I didn’t think CNN ratings could fall any further in the toilet. Guess whoever hired Behar decided to flush.
chicagojedi on September 21, 2009 at 6:28 PM
This narrative is 30 years too late. It was all the rage in the ’70s. We tried it that way and it didn’t work.
Those New York liberal women – so shrill. Between her and Fran Drescher, I can’t decide which one is more the pontificating liberal dimwit.
keep the change on September 21, 2009 at 6:28 PM
Allah, for the sake of the newer readers you may have to explain your…fixation on the old, Rosie-era View.
Number 2 on September 21, 2009 at 6:29 PM
She needs a good spanking.
JellyToast on September 21, 2009 at 6:30 PM
I feel smarter after that Moment of Joy.
The turn of phrase from the famous to the “I spank therefore I am” really illustrates her great depth of thought.
Spirit of 1776 on September 21, 2009 at 6:30 PM
She is CUTTING EDGE-
Who would have thought someone that pretty and smart could be so sharp and witty…
I think I’m in love…..
marks on September 21, 2009 at 6:31 PM
Behar is a certifiable moron and therefore should fit in quite nicely at CNN.
rplat on September 21, 2009 at 6:31 PM
Does she even have any kids?
Knucklehead on September 21, 2009 at 6:32 PM
After watching this turd on toast, one phrase came to mind if I am forced to watch Hope, er, Change, er Joy again: self-immolation
Dr.Cwac.Cwac on September 21, 2009 at 6:32 PM
Man, I’m slow with sarcasm but I even got that one.
How about an all harridan channel? HNC?
Behar, O’Donnell, Coulter, Malkin (gulp, there I said it)…
SteveMG on September 21, 2009 at 6:32 PM
Please NEVER post a video of her again! My day of joy just turned to crap. DOnt EVER give this moron attention she doesnt deserve again. Last thing we need is CNN to see all the views of her video and think she is going to be a hit. Best thing to do is ignore her. She can not be saved.
bucsox79 on September 21, 2009 at 6:32 PM
Every study that finds spanking unproductive is a study that lumps abusive parents with spanking parents.
jgapinoy on September 21, 2009 at 6:33 PM
CNN had Glenn Beck… they traded Beck for this?
bbordwell on September 21, 2009 at 6:33 PM
Twas a joke, now.
SteveMG on September 21, 2009 at 6:33 PM
I disagree about Fran Drescher. Awful voice, and I don’t like her politics, but she’s a respectful person, unlike Behar, who’s a psycho b**ch.
NathanG on September 21, 2009 at 6:34 PM
I thought the camera only put on 10 pounds…
Looks like “50″ to me…
Khun Joe on September 21, 2009 at 6:34 PM
Oh…. P-U!!
Man, I think I stepped in some Behar.
JohnGalt23 on September 21, 2009 at 6:34 PM
My dad told me he went to confession and asked the priest ” I have a 9 month old baby when should I begin disciplining” the priest answered 9 months ago. I have 4 brothers and 4 sisters I was the 3rd. by the time the 5th was born he was worn out from spanking.
fourdeucer on September 21, 2009 at 6:34 PM
There was no greater joy then waking up in the morning, walking into my kids room and beating the hell out of them, just because I felt like it…yeah, pretty much every parent feels that way. They learn not to whimper, that get’s them another “round” with dad.
Who is she talking to?…does she actually think people will say “Gee, Joy is right, I think I will not lose my temper after downing a fith of Jack, and hit my kid anymore.”
And BTW, slapping Hueissan around allowed a nation to go free, and instead of beating his kids, we just killed the little murderers…I bet he never spanked his kids, and look what fine citizens they grew up to be (as short as it was)…
right2bright on September 21, 2009 at 6:34 PM
You know what Joy Behar is?
An intellectual heavyweight, that’s what.
BadgerHawk on September 21, 2009 at 6:34 PM
The still picture is enough to make me sick. I don’t want to see it move.
PappaMac on September 21, 2009 at 6:34 PM
Maybe so- but can she beat Andy Richter at Jeopardy????

Terrye on September 21, 2009 at 6:35 PM
At least Fran Drescher might be fun to spank.
theTarCzar on September 21, 2009 at 6:36 PM
In a game of “Life or DEATH Joepardy”, I’m going with the “box of rocks” over Joy Behar…
She’s dumber than a bag of hammers…
Khun Joe on September 21, 2009 at 6:36 PM
Demonstrating that she has something in common with Me…..
Oh, nevermind.
Dr.Cwac.Cwac on September 21, 2009 at 6:36 PM
Who will spank their kids? Well probably the same wackos that would help assist child sex trafficking.

Khun Joe on September 21, 2009 at 6:37 PM
OMG…who could listen to that voice for more than 30 seconds? I couldn’t make it to 1:36. They should replace water boarding with this. Please don’t tell me she’s married to someone…they should give that shlub his own show.
AmericanUnderground on September 21, 2009 at 6:37 PM
I don’t think she is a parent…
Seven Percent Solution on September 21, 2009 at 6:38 PM
These same liberals who won’t spank their kids also can’t take their kids out in public without the undisciplined little brats having a major freak and creating a scene.
I think South Park made the point well in the dog-whisperer episode. If you raise your children well they will be your friends when they become adults. If you raise your children according to moonbat liberal values – they will hate you and be in therapy when they grow up.
dKap on September 21, 2009 at 6:39 PM
There really is nothing to say to this…so I’m just going to comment that my Mom spanked me, and I’m fine.
Emily M. on September 21, 2009 at 6:39 PM
Did they pick Joy Behar to replace Glenn Beck?
If so…. LMAO!
Shiny_Tiara on September 21, 2009 at 6:40 PM
Why didn’t she use this quote? Maybe I would have paid attention.
Don’t tell me how to raise my kid and I won’t tell you how to keep not raising yours lady.

She doesn’t have kids nor is she married. She has been dating the same guy for the last 10+ years, Steve Jankowski (i think that’s his last name). Anyway, you owe me I had to google her for that info. Going to take a shower now.
milwife88 on September 21, 2009 at 6:41 PM
That’s why 95% of CEO’s in America were spanked as a child and why their children are spoiled brats, because they weren’t!

Behar is going to make Mathews and Obernoid look sane.
Unhinged, VERY uninformed, opinion based purely on emotion. The Queen loud mouth moon bat from The View, unfiltered and uninterrupted….for your viewing pleasure..

This is what they will substitute for waterboarding at Gitmo from now on. The enemy will be forced to watch this tripe for hours on end, and if they don’t spill their guts after that, it won’t matter, because they will be essentially brain dead.

If NOT spanking meant my kids grew up to be unpatriotic weasels like her, I’d womp them every day.
Jeff from WI on September 21, 2009 at 6:55 PM
Yep, I’ve often incorporated the philosophy of Descartes when telling my kids to stop coloring on the walls, pulling the cat’s tale, etc.
Joy, you clueless bimbo.

Excellent !!! This show is gonna be great !!!!
I’ve got a boatload of cucumbers that I want to get sour pickled……..I’ll just put the batch in front of the TV when her show is on, and her puss alone will sour those suckers pronto.

Hah, this woman is crazy. I love and respect my parents and I guarantee you I would have taken every inch a mile when I was a kid if I didn’t think there would be consequences. Yes, teach your kids to KNOW there are consequences to actions. God forbid they think their actions come with CONSEQUENCES!
This whole “Parents should be friends with their children” is bull. Most of the kids I know whose parents tried to be their “best friends” ended up with major issues. Me, my parents were my PARENTS first. Now that I’m an adult I view them as two of my very best friends.
However, to this day even the possibility of an occasional slip of a swear word in front of my parents brings the taste of soap to my mouth.

Seriously, is CNN trying to commit network suicide?
Jeff from WI on September 21, 2009 at 7:00 PM
“What could a one year old possibly do to warrant a spanking?”
I dunno, playing with the clicker and turning up the volume on ‘The View’, comes to mind.
I have never seen that show. Probably because I never watch condescending fluff. I tolerated about 30 seconds of that broad before I wanted to reach through my monitor and rip her lungs off.
Going for lower ratings than Rachel Maddow,CNN?
Lanceman on September 21, 2009 at 7:00 PM
FROM THE STUDY JOY CITES
African Americans spank their children significantly more than the other cultures. Researchers suggest this is due to their cultural beliefs for children to respect their elders. Several African American mothers explained their actions, saying that spanking prepares their children for the harsh and dangerous world.
Something to think about. Joy’s opinion is that anyone who spanks their child is a child abuser.

1 year olds don’t understand reasoning.
So when they move their hand to the flame you can’t say, “don’t do that, you’ll get burned!” with the hopes they’ll hear you and not touch the flame.
So you spank their hand. They learn to associate the flame with pain and stay away from it. That’s how real parents do it.
Refute that, you mush-brained, old tramp.
