Video: Obama WH “biggest bunch of crybabies”
posted at 1:00 pm on September 19, 2009 by Ed Morrissey
What, this White House is thin-skinned? Do tell! Chris Wallace dishes on the Obama administration’s press relations group, which he calls “the biggest bunch of crybabies” he’s seen in 30 years of reporting. Wallace compares the Obama administration very unfavorably to the Reagan media handlers, who always acted professional even after a stinging news report. Wallace says that attitude came “from the top down,” as Reagan himself approached the news media with poise and comportment. The new administration? Not so much:
Watch until the end, when Wallace zings his colleagues in the White House press corps. “I think it works with the others — it doesn’t work with me.” So who’s getting intimidated by the White House these days?

My whirled…my whirled has come crashing down. Edwards LIED. Nooooooo!
Allah and Ed this would be a good thread. High snark potential.
And yet the story some how got past those super sleuth journalists travelling with Edwards during his campaign.
Now how could that happen? Anyone?

I have read the vast majority of your posts over there and I have to say you just don’t get it. You obviously have been an “open minded liberal” all you life. Therefore you are incapable of having rational discussion based in fact and not democratic talking points. So go ahead and keep regurgitating posts from the DailyKos and Huffington Post that’s fine. Just know this, we know what you are and it is more than obvious that you have an overinflated sence of self importance. We argue with you not to “learn” things only to get you going. You are our “free entertainment”.
Nothing more.
milwife88 on September 19, 2009 at 7:12 PM
wow. Who are these “normal americans” that you speak of? What do they look, smell, and act like? “Regular Americans”, so let me get this straight…anyone who attended an Ivy League school, is not a “regular american”?
I thought a core conservative principle was that we reward hard work and success, not demonize it? Is it only when your guy goes to an Ivy League school (Bush) that it’s acceptable. Your statement in general was fairly ignorant. According to your logic, anyone who hasn’t spent 100% of their time in the U.S. will never be fit for public service, because they aren’t “normal Americans”. Really? The guy is 48 years old. He’s been here since he was a teenager…I think that’s long enough time for him to “adjust”. Your logic is ridiculously scary and flawed.

I can so understand what he’s saying. Some companies behave this way, too, regarding they or their products are handled by the press. Absolute crybabies, vindictive, and will even actively get people fired if they don’t like what they see published.
They also tend to be pathological liars. They lie even when telling the truth would be more likely to benefit them. Sounds like the Obama administration to me.

Helpful hint for you. “Normal Americans” love this country, die for this country and are proud of this country. It has nothing to do with what school you went to or was tax bracket your family fell in. “Normal Americans” do not go around the world and apologize for how great our country is and pander to our enemies. Based on that information, is Obama a “normal American”? My answer is NO.

Let’s for a moment assume that StoneKrab is right and that Fox unfairly “attacks” (as opposed to criticizing) the President. Doesn’t Wallace’s point about the childishness of the Obama response still apply? Doesn’t O’Reilly’s point about the stupidity of declaring war on Fox News still ring true?
Obama’s people seem to genuinely believe that if they repeat the same lines “if you like your doctor you can keep your doctor” 150 times, with friendly hosts nodding and smiling, the audience will gradually come to believe it. They are wrong. Persuasion does not work that way. In fact, people are smart enough to see that Obama is deliberately dodging legitimate criticism and avoiding debate. It not only hurts his healthcare plan, it hurts his credibility in general.

Geez…that’s why I just walk away. No one can seem to stay on topic. I offer my opinion on the Fox/Obama feud and someone mentions “normal Americans”, another person called me a “moron”, and another said something about me, “getting my rear-end handed to me” on another thread, but nothing in regards to what I said, about Fox’s blatant attack machine on Obama and the Dems. Instead I get projection. So, I bid you adieu. I appreciate the debate from those who stayed on topic. The personal attack people…A wise man told me don’t argue with fools, because people from a distance can’t tell who is who.

Chris Wallace has it right. I have never seen such amateur attempts at selling a piece of legislation in 30 years of watching the presidency. You can’t keep propping the pres up on stage to say the same thing over and over and expect his sheer charisma (?) to convince us. Then, getting sensitive when people disagree, playing the race card, etc. His handlers may have known how to run a campaign but they look like bumbling idiots as WH staff.

Why would Fox News even want Obama? Just run more of their 24 hour hit pieces on him. The Fox News audience does not want valid discussion of the issues, just more hit pieces. Why would Obama or Fox News bother? Obama did the right thing.
Fox News has lowered political discussion into political pornography in order to get ratings.

They may be crybabies, but they have the MSM in line…denying FOX isn’t so much not wanting to face them, as to show the others that if they don’t follow the script, they will not be included either.
Just a way to intimidate, and the MSM doesn’t have the huevos to fight back.

Your ignorant diatribes are a perfect example of a dope who has become a tool of the liberal media. They are the ones telling you not to listen to Fox. I’ve never heard Fox tell anyone to stop listening to the MSM. As a matter of fact, they encourage us to watch because that is where we find the blatant lies and hypocrisy on full display.
Here at Hot Air you will see examples of the MSM’s sycophantic “reports” on Obama and his Marxist ilk on a daily basis. All you have to do is get your head out of Obama’s ass and open your eyes.

Reporting what happens is not ‘Attacking’
And even if Fox News were ‘Attacking’ Obama for his policies/job…..so what? He’s the POTUS. He and you should be able to handle it. For flip’s sake. If Iran calls him with threats, is he going to cry and run?
I think that’s what the press should be all about….questioning, questioning, questioning.
If Fox is the only channel questioning Obama’s WH….it’s attacking. huh

Normal. You could also say mainland. Someone who spent their formative years in America v. Indonesia. Someone who would speak about rural voters with empathy, v. the detachment of an anthropologist observing indigenous people. Someone who would say “we” v. “they” and “me”. Americans went for “Yes, We Can” (lifted from Cesar Chavez), but rejected “Goddamn America” and the bitter clingers speech.
Democrats buy into the idea of a meritocracy. Like a union or a Ponzi scheme. That we should look to our betters and strive to serve them, maybe being rewarded with advancement through the ranks. Therefore, only an Ivy League education will do for our elite.
Whom do you read? Where do you summer? Don’t you just love sticking it to the man? Free as a bird, guilty as sin?
Republicans believe in rugged individualism. The American dream. Keeping the fruits of your own labor. Being in control of your own destiny. Opportunity to be as great as your will and imagination will permit. Freedom.
You can go to an Ivy League school, but it is not a measuring stick for human worth. It is an accomplishment, but we can have so many accomplishments.
Obama has always surrounded himself with malcontents and radicals. It is who he is. He grew up in a fascist police state. He has no roots to America, even if it is his nationality, it is not his identity. He has none, really. He says that of himself, that he is a blank surface for others to project their fantasy. Really, he is Narcissus, enamored of his own reflection. How that relates to Americans is that in the years since his adolescence, Obama has not tried to get to know anybody. He doesn’t even know himself, certainly not America.

DSchoen on September 20, 2009 at 2:05 AM
I like what Chris Wallace said about Reagan. It’s true that the atmosphere of any administration starts from the top down. Michael Dukakis [I'm no fan] made a comment during his presidential campaign that was particularly inelegant butg somewhat appropriate regarding Mr. Wallace’s observation. Dukakis said, “The fish rots from the head on down.”
He also had another comment in defense of all his meddling in this state: “Any jackass can kick a building down. It takes a carpenter to build it.” As I wrote to him at the time – “Well, Mike – you’ve done your part of the job in Massachusetts. Who’s coming in to do the carpentry work?”
That commment and my response to it is – I think – readily transferable to the D.C. status quo today. And I’m sure the Polish citizenry would agree.

Olliebobbitt, thank you for clarifying what I was attempting to say. Since Obama did not spend his formative years here in America, he does not view himself as one of us. It is so obvious in the way he speaks and talks.
When we grow up here in America, and spend our young lives here from birth to adulthood, our American identification and pride is permeated all the way to the core of our soul. Obama does NOT have that affinity at all. He is so detached. I am still astonished he got elected. I always felt that there was a puppeteer behind him like a Manchurian candidate.
Beck has done a really good job at exposing that whole movement that has been behind Obama that was under the surface. It all traces back to the SDS and Weather Underground back in the 60′s. People, make sure you DVR this show and read Michelle Malkin’s book. We need to get informed and stay informed.
karenhasfreedom on September 20, 2009 at 2:09 AM

They always accused Bush of it even though there was absolutely zero chance it happened, but looking down the road, this current president will be the one to ‘arrange’ a national crisis in his third year because he’ll be so far into the dumper it will be ridiculous. He’ll be going to a 12% approval rating at his bottom. Because 12% of America consider themselves liberal extremists. They’ll see eye to eye with him no matter what he does. As a country we’re going to be dam lucky to survive his administration.
Griz on September 20, 2009 at 5:01 AM
So who is ready for the Obamathon on TV today? How many shows is he comandeering this morning? I would rather watch old Billy Mays infomercials…or better yet, go to church and out for brunch, then any available rerun. BHO is just not “getting it.” We dropped in to visit him last weekend-all 1.7 million of us-and he wasn’t home, or at least he wouldn’t answer the door.
indypat on September 20, 2009 at 7:47 AM
I don’t think BOR is a Lib as much as he is a panderer. I think he feels his niche is to portray the neutral guy who “reports and lets you decide”….often at the expense of the obvious, which in this day and age has become offensive to us. IF Beck moves to 7, he will beat BOR in the ratings, eventually.
davecatbone on September 20, 2009 at 7:47 AM

It is funny to see all this uproar over from a Republican media company that does not think the President is legitimate and is a “Socialist”, “Marxist”, “Communist”, or whatever is the latest Beck adjective to describe the President.
Fox News is not media. They should have “News” as part of their name whatsoever. It is a Republican machine to take down Democrats.
