Just how long have we (humans ) been pumping and controling water flow in Ca? If I am wrong correct me. We started pumping and moving water in the mid 1940's. Where was this delta smelt before 1944. We have been controling the flow of water in this area for 60 plus years and now in the last 5 years or so the delta smelt is at risk? It seems to me if pumping and moving water is harmful to this smelt it would have been long gone.

The environmentalists didn't this without the help of Pelosi & the EPA. This is the kind of govt. we have now. It's the same kind of tyranny the original Americans fought against in the American Revolution (King George III). It's being forced on all of us without our consent!

Yeah, I also read that new, underground book & it does tell about what going to happen nxt. It's great!! I bought a 2 for my friends & it's about a small town in America that does stand up to Federal tyranny & ends up starting the 2nd American Revolution.

People, it's time to "make your own history & leave a legacy for your grandchildren". This may be the only time in your life that there is a bigger cause/movement to join that ever before. Read it...& see what could happen to your hometown.

Again this proves we are not truly a violent nation; if we where, there would be a minor revolution there and the water would be flowing unless the government sent in troops. But I wonder how long the people will follow the "rule of law" when the law has been high jacked by those who are irrational and it is not their livelihood that is being taken away.
a little o.t. but it relates;

i grew up near Stockton/Sacramento. i watched the
oncoming demise of large farm tracts that gave way
to cheaply built housing projects. There was a
time when you could drive for miles in rich
golden fields of alfalfa, tomatoes, beets, etc.
the last time i drove around Elk Grove, i almost
cried. The farm land had been carved up, sold
off by lazy sons and daughters of hard working farmers.
Much of the incredibly rich land has been asphalted over with stupid silly hastily built shopping malls and pastel colored tract homes with cute little street names.
With the housing boom and crash; many of those businesses
are boarded up now and the houses are empty with foreclosure.
A compounding problem is peak oil; and our
outrageously dumb and blind politicians who refuse to
see the reality of our reliance on foreign oil.
This way of life is way past dead. We have
not prepared for a future, so we may not have

Northern California has a bunch of rivers.
There's the Napa River,
the Russian River,
the Garcia River,
the Navarro,
the Noyo, the Mattole, the Eel River,
the Van Duzen, the Mad, the Trinity,
the New River, the Salmon, the Klamith, the Smith and the Redwood river.

Not one of these rivers is fed by the Sacramento SanJoaquin river.

Not one of them.

But all of these rivers are suffering the same depletion of Salmon, Green Stugeon, and Steelhead trout.

You tell me. If every river is suffering a depletion of these species of fish, the main common thread being they migrate to the ocean, why is it that the Salmon, Green Sturgeon, Steelhead and Delta Smelt (which also migrates back and forth to the ocean) of the Sacramento river are the only ones whose danger is blaimed on water diversions?

Why are all the rest of these rivers that are not diverting water suffering low fish counts?

Couldn't there be something else beside flow rate behind the low fish counts?

I was raised about 30 miles east of where Sean had the show. I don't know if it was covered, but, the San Joaguin Valley is one of the Reddest parts of California. Could what has happened be part of a political payback to the people of the area? Just wondering, it could be a way of keeping the people in line.....?

This is sickening. I am absolutely infuriated by this. Watching those videos...seeing those farmers...that dry field...tears came to my eyes. I've been in the San Joaquin valley enough that it feels like a second home. Husband has family down there. It's not a farming family, and I'm not too fond of the heat down there but I love looking at the seemingly endless fields of farms and orchards...olives, almonds, cotton, tomatoes, peaches, grapes, etc. every time we visit. Each time we return I've been saddened to see more development as people move further out of San Francisco seeking cheaper places to live (people actually commute from the Central Valley to the city). It would hurt tremendously to see the farmlands go. It hurts even now to know these farmers are suffering, all for stupid, leftist ideology.

What's really crazy is a lot of these farmers are Hispanic. Where's the leftist's support for the Latinos in this?? This alone should start making conservatives out of the Hispanic population.

Another thing--what about state's rights? Why doesn't Schwarzenneger put his foot down and say, "screw you, Federal Government, California is a sovereign state and can regulate its own water--!!" Somebody please explain to me why he can't. I don't understand it.

This just makes me sick, on top of everything else the left does that makes me ill every single darn day.
