SEIU head: Anti-American teabagging extremists need to elevate their discourse; Update: DNC promises “rain of hellfire” on critics

posted at 7:30 pm on September 18, 2009 by Allahpundit

Biggest surprise here: He accuses the right of pretty much everything except racism. Proof positive, I guess, that the backlash has finally reached the left-wing brain trust.

Since, per Maureen Dowd and Michael Eric Dyson, it’s now kosher to put words in people’s mouths that they didn’t actually say, I’m going to imagine that Stern finished with, “Take my advice or we’ll send more of your guys to the hospital.” This is, after all, a man who once boasted creepily about the “persuasion of power.”

As has always happened when progressive change is in the air, the backlash gets fierce, ugly and anti-American. This time is no different. Right now, there is an insidious and coordinated effort on the part of the extreme right to target individuals and grassroots community groups as a way to silence the voices of women and men who have suffered the most under 8 years of right wing policies.

These extremists will attempt to shut down and shout down anyone with a different point of view.

Let’s be clear who we are talking about—call them attack dogs, call them Teabaggers, call them Glenn Beck–these are the same folks who cheered the policies that crashed our economy. Who make up lies about death panels to try to kill healthcare reform. Who scream about democracy while denying workers a voice on the job. Who target anyone who poses a threat to a status quo that for too long has rewarded greedy CEOs while leaving people who work out in the cold.

By “insidious and coordinated effort on the part of the extreme right,” I take it he means visiting community organizers and listening patiently while they offer you tips on how to cover up child sex slavery.

Here’s a surprisingly diplomatic statement from a guy not known for them, insisting again that the White House sees nothing racist in right-wing opposition to ObamaCare even if every last bottom-feeder on the left does. You’ll be pleased to know that he’s planning to wade into the health-care debate himself next week, joining Mrs. O as reinforcements called in to try to salvage The One’s otherwise epic failure. Joe Biden and Michelle Obama talking policy with an intense media spotlight on them: What could go wrong? Click the image to watch.

Update: Is there any way we can get Ahmadinejad to come out against ObamaCare when he’s in town later this month? These hardcore ass-kicking leftist heroes sure do know how to get their war on when their domestic policies are challenged:

DNC spokesman Hari Sevugan said: “The message to opponents of change who would lie or misrepresent the truth should be clear. We are going to respond forcefully and consistently with the facts, and you will no longer be able to peddle your lies with impunity. Through tools like ‘Call ‘Em Out,’ you will be met with a rain of hellfire from supporters armed with the facts and you will be held to account.”

Blowback

By the way if you are truly interested in the “how” it became this way, read Ayn Rand.

Atlas Shrugs & The Fountainhead, illustrate in depressing detail what has brought us to this precipice. The woman was prescient!

“Rain of hellfire?” This is a debate. There is no room for “hellfire” in a debate. On a battlefield, against armored vehicles or high-value targets, in the context of missile types? “Hellfire” yes! (sorry, couldn’t resist) But in a debate, when you’re dependent on Purple America to stay in power, a “rain of hellfire” is going to backfire. Swiftly.

Of course, this means I’d be delighted to see the Dems try it, if only for the humor that’s in it next November.

So true… I have read Atlas Shrugged at least 6 times from start to finish, and I am constantly amazed to find myself always saying, “Hey, they are doing the same thing that was in the book”.

I would bet my life that if you were to have a lefty read that book, they would say the same thing as James Taggert… “but why don’t I deserve to have it my way?”

Which brings me to another point… Name something ANY of these people have actually produced in their lives? They are feeding off of host, and “we” are the host! Problem is just like in the book… at some point they are going to suck the host dry and there won’t be anything left for them to feed on except each other. Hell, it is practically happening now.

God Save Us All… (except those blood sucking parasites!)

Well while I believe Biden is dumber than any other human on the planet. I don’t think he is capable of lying. At least not well.

I guess this week will test that theory. I hope someone is prepared to trip him up and get the real truth out of him. It could cause all the others to slink back to their holes.

(Not Michelle–she does not slink in any way. She walks in a very dignified manner. Always.)

A unionized workplace consists of 3 parties: The employer, the union and the members (workers)

Not all workers are bad…they have no choice once the unions get their claws into the workplace. It is the union leadership that usually is the problem.

Here in Chicago there may be more reason for worry, and through national associations possibly on a broader scale. During the primaries when I first started dsoing oppo-research for a candidate (will go unnamed) i came across data tying Obama’s early “organizing” days to the el Ruhkn’s, a famously violent street gang here, big into black liberation theology but from an islamic bent. They are also tied to Farrakahn as well. But most of the data now is quite hard to find, possibly scrubbed.

This is an attempt at incitement plain and simple. These people want violence just as in the case of the SEIU and the St.Louis incident.

They will then, assisted by the state-run media, deflect the blame to the peaceful everyday Americans trying to prevent a statist health care take over.

Unions such as SEIU are like the mafia and thru history have in fact been connected to the mafia. These 2 organization types operate the same way, by the same rules and for the same reasons, get people t pay them for “protection” and get rich off of them and intimidate them into getting this protection from them and paying for it.

Possibly…I’m not following their organizing drives…but I do know they are after healthcare workers all over the country.

That is the bargain between Obama and the unions…the unions support single payer…Obama supports card check. Who loses? The workers. Unions typically have the best healthcare benefits. Why would they support single payer and get less benefits? Because the union leaders are corrupt and giving up the worker’s benefits for more money through card check. Obama and the unions could care less about the workers…it is all about their personal gain. Common sense should tell us that. Ok…the cat is out of the bag.

But it would be so great to have him, of all people, to fulfill one of Mr. Obama’s empty promises. Irony, with the added benefit of helping some folks that could really benefit from the gesture.

Let’s be clear who we are talking about—call them attack dogs, call them Teabaggers, call them Glenn Beck–these are the same folks who cheered the policies that crashed our economy.
Pfffft. You guys were the ones pushing subprime loans.

You can’t blame this on Bush, nor can you blame it on the Republicans…I think these are the folks you can blame. And…while you are at it, get a clue.

Let me tell you about my Facebook experience in a poll on this very subject. The little Dem stooges come along, and they stupidly repeat the same talking points:

1. that millions are dying because they do not have health insurance…. um maybe they die because life is finite?

2. that health funds are greedy…. um the health funds have the lowest profit margins.

3. that there are no death panels… rant rave scream…. about all those republicans…. um, these are the ones who have not read the legislation or have heard about that commission that was set up under Porkulus….

4. that there is no single payer system… well maybe they need to see what the L-I-C actually said in 2007
http://gatewaypundit.blogspot.com/2009/09/shock-video-obama-2007-revelation.html

5. the straw man arguments of knocking down the myths created by none other than the DNC operated Factcheck.org

If this is all that they can summon for their campaign… it is already dead….

If 85% of Americans are happy with their health insurance, I’d say that is pretty good odds.

This country has charity care for those who can’t afford it. To put it bluntly…single payer sucks.

Word….

Put on your clothes Emperor Obama, the illusion has faded, we can see your dangling parts.

I guess that means they are going to set up another web page that calls people Nazis:

I’ll add Nazi to my current title of right-wing extremist…no problem.

Too bad, they don’t get I’m an independent from a blue state that hates corruption.

Is there any way we can get Ahmadinejad to come out against ObamaCare when he’s in town later this month?

Sure, tell him Obamacare will cover circumcisions!

I am confused. 1) According to what 99.999% of liberals call the Greatest and Most Beautiful Song Ever, there is “no hell below us, above us only sky.” what is this “hellfire” of which you speak?

2) Pretty sure this is the most laughably clownish and infantile statement ever read by a national party spokesperson, the kind that, if ever uttered by a GOP flack, would quite properly be fodder for the Maher, Stewart and Olbermann shows pretty much forever and ever and evah. Right?

Seriously. Are the people who wrote this 5 years old or what? Take a look at this Hari Sevugan guy. If he’s ever spent 10 minutes outside the confines of Second Life, I’ll eat a bug.

DNC promises rain of hellfire on critics…

I guess when you’re in hell, hellfire is all you have at your disposal.

Only war these pukes will engage in is on an enlightened and aroused American population!
Gee–they even use tougher terminology than they use on the “Man-made Diaster-ists” from somewhere over there!

Sorta sounds like a line from “300″

Persian:”Our arrows will blot out the sun!”

Stelios: “Then we will fight in the shade.”

Yeah..THAT response!!

The_Basseteer on September 19, 2009 at 12:10 AM

My daughter, who is in college, is as amazed as I am on this one: When did the big, anti-government protesters suddenly become the pro-government supporters and vice-versa. One professor she had last year, said the day after the election:
“If you did not vote for Obama, you ARE a racist.”

Both my son and daughter skipped the liberal phase (which I went through), and are hotly conservative to my comfort– at least we never argue politics.

“Through tools like ‘Call ‘Em Out,’ you will be met with a rain of hellfire from supporters armed with the facts and you will be held to account.”

The response from “300″ seems appropriate here…

Persian: A thousand nations of the Persian empire descend upon you. Our arrows will blot out the sun!
Stelios: Then we will fight in the shade.

Is there any way we can get Ahmadinejad to come out against ObamaCare when he’s in town later this month? These hardcore ass-kicking leftist heroes sure do know how to get their war on when their domestic policies are challenged:

Reminds me of a great bumper sticker.

“If only liberals hated abortion and terrorism as much as they hate George W. Bush.”

It’s still true.

They hate people who disagree with them more than they hate people who want to murder Americans.
