SOOO true. In the town I grew up in. (outside of Chicago in DuPage county–the GOOD county in IL) if I called the cops with a report like this they would tell me not to touch anything and be there pulling print from any place the pimp and prostitute may have touched in under 10 minutes.

I mean people have various tolerances for prostitution but I don’t think anyone would disagree that shipping in illegal children to perform sex acts, presumably, on adults is at the very very least not a good idea at all. (I’m guessing most would choose to call it ‘atrocious’ )

If ACORN wants to keep arguing the former over the latter, they’re going to find their public relations at about the NAMBLA level.

Seriously, it shouldn’t come as a shock that a far left organization has no concept of accountability. They THRIVE on the passing of the blame buck.

They would make this all go away faster if they simply fired the people on tape, apologized profusely and promised ‘swift and prompt’ action. Many people would say ‘oh well at least they are committed to fixing it…” and it would likely be forgotten. (not that it should be they are corrupt as all hell, but it probably would be over)

Instead they chose to make it partisan and making it seem like video tapes are lying. In the process ther are digging themselves a giant sized trench. Good riddance to them. I don’t need Mickey Mouse voting 10,000 times in the next elections anyway.

Interestingly, KGTV confirmed that Juan Carlos Vera did what the other ACORN staffers never considered: he called the cops.

Not exactly, or not as most would think by that statement.

Gee one report says he called the cops but was told not enough info for the police to file a report. I find that a little hard to believe, concerning the subject matter.
IE: “setting up a child sex slave prostitution ring, international human trafficking”

How many cops are there that after hearing about “setting up a child sex slave prostitution ring, international human trafficking” would say forget about it!

The other report says:

In the local paper, Vera claims that his English is bad and that he really did not understand well what was being talked about. Guess that explains his ‘hitting’ on Hannah.

● ACORN is an organization that gets government money to help poor people. Well, now they’re in trouble. These two filmmakers went to ACORN posing as a pimp and prostitute saying they wanted to buy a house and run it as a brothel. ACORN gave them advice on how to do it and how to avoid prosecution and how to avoid paying taxes. If they want to get away with prostitution and not paying taxes, they should go to Congress. These are the professionals.

A number of times in my life I’ve come across lefties who believe — apparently quite honestly — that people working in private industry will gleefully consign others to death and dismemberment if it means a bigger bonus this year. I’ve never come across any such person actually working in private industry. You’d think the guy would quit his job and go hide in a hole somewhere. But no, he’s still sitting there at his desk waiting to get fired. They sure don’t hire the best and brightest at Acorn, do they?

He didn’t dash to the phone and call National City police immediately after the sting left the ACORN office. He later contacted a cousin who happens to be a National City police detective. It is not clear if he contacted him during or after work hours.

The linked local news article from San Diego Union-Tribune also claims:

The California Attorney General’s Office said it is following a request by the governor to investigate the videotapes made in San Bernardino and National City, but the surreptitious nature of the recordings complicates matters.

“As you know, California law requires there to be consent when you record somebody,” said Scott Gerber, a spokesman for the attorney general. “We’re going to look into it without fear or favor.”

No fear? Of course not. You’re ‘the law’.

No favor? HA! It is already obvious to lay-persons that journalists are constantly doing udercover stings covering unscrupulous business practices that include surreptitious recordings, and have been for decades… without fear of investigation or prosecution by the State’s ‘top cops’.

Again, as I have stated in other ACORN related threads in the last week where Government Employed attorney general’s and/or prosecutor’s have claimed there has to be ‘consent’ to record, journalists surreptitiously recording Businesses and employees of those businesses are exempt from the ‘consent’ decree. Otherwise, there would be no journalistic ‘News Stings’ of ‘unscrupulous’ businesses ripping off the public. From auto repair shops, to nefarious lenders and brokers, to slum lords, etc etc.

Attorney General’s and Prosecutors would have to investigate and prosecute practically every news network in existence if it were as they claim, and prosecute them and their news staff as well. From your local auto repair shop being stung by your local undercover news team to the primetime network news undercover news stings like Chris Hansen’s NBC-Dateline “To Catch A Predator” show.

The threats by state and local Attorney General’s and Prosecutors to investigate and potentially seek prosecution of O’Keefe for his journalist undercover stings of the racket business, ACORN, further goes to prove that your local government law enforcement is as deeply into Barack Hussein Obama’s and our Democrat government’s pocket as is your federal government law enforcement. Incredible.
