Democrats to Obama: Um, what exactly are we getting for selling out Poland to Russia?

What are you getting? You’re getting the same thing you got when he sold out Honduras to Chavez over that non-coup “coup” they staged: The warm fuzzy glow of knowing that George Bush would heartily disapprove.
But some members of Obama’s own party, however, had a simple question for the administration: if this was a return to realism, and a concession to Russia’s long and vocal opposition to the missile program, what, exactly, was the U.S. getting in return for fundamentally changing it?
And almost certainly, the answer leads back to Iran…
But Russia has given no ground on those questions, with Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov bluntly opposing tougher sanctions. And Medvedev suggested Thursday that any new American political capital would be more likely go toward the longer-term Obama Administration goal of deep cuts to the two countries’ nuclear weapons stocks…
“If they wanted to engage in a process of negotiation over this they should have been transparent with the Polish and the Czech governments,” said Randy Scheunemann, the top foreign policy advisor to the presidential campaign of Senator John McCain, who said cancelling the missiles in the countries was “seriously misguided.”
“Unilateral preemptive concession in the hope that your negotiating partners will follow suit? Anyone who believes that will work with Russia hasn’t looked at 70 years of Soviet history and 200 years of Russian history,” Scheunemann said.
As much of a royal sucker as he is for agreeing to this, The One deserves credit at least for the shrewdness of his politicking. It’s amazing how much goodwill on foreign policy he’s been able to buy from conservatives simply by being willing to stay the course in Afghanistan for another year. As much anger as there is among the grassroots over today’s retreat and his appalling Honduras betrayal, not to mention the excruciating length of time it took for him to show some indignation about Iran’s head-cracking after the election, there’s no bite to it the way there is to the protests over ObamaCare and bank bailouts. Expectations of how he’d deal with foreign powers were so fabulously low on the right that a modest troop increase in Kabul is enough to placate us until the midterms, in all likelihood. Notice also how the goalposts on Iran have subtly moved after today’s decision. No longer is convincing them to give up their nuke program the acid test of Obama’s diplomatic push; now, merely getting Russia to play ball on sanctions — which no one believes will force Iran to give up the bomb, mind you — is the test. If Putin comes around and agrees to join in the wrist-slap on Tehran, well, then that’s proof that Hopenchange works, whether Iran is disarmed or not.
If you’re looking for tea leaves to read about future cooperation, enjoy this piece from Russian media suggesting that the U.S. backing down on missile defense is hardly a concession at all, in which case why would a quid pro quo be necessary? Oh, and this one too from Fox News reminding us that Iran somehow managed to launch a satellite into space earlier this year, which suggests the sort of near-term long-range missile capability that our crack intel team now insists doesn’t require defending against.

Dems have been infiltrated, co-opted and subverted to ulterior purposes from within their own party. It is a process that follows Barack’s life story to a a tee. In Chicago, the epi-center of American communism from the late 1800′s to this day, the Chicago communist party endorsed Obama’s early actions. But being a cautious creature he didn’t join outright.
Not till at a major strategy meeting in the late 80′s there was a big meet, Dale Rathke, Andy Stern, Paul Booth, Mark Rudd, Marilyn Katz, Mike Klonsky, Carl Davidson, the whole crew. All the old Bring the War Home kids got together and decided the party had to change its name. The commie tag carried to much of a stigma.
And so was born The Chicago New Party, now Barack could join, and so he did. Never mind That his parents were both commies and born from commies themselves. Or that his mentor was head of the ILUW, a longshoreman’s union as front for the CPUSA in Hawaii. Who close friend in Chicago also mentored, one David Axelrod.
Major players in the DNC like Tom Hayden & Steve Tappis come from this cast of caracgters as well. The two common denominators in the corruption of the DNC are communism, and specifically the Students for a Democratic Society and it’s off-shoot the Weather Underground.

That would appear to be assuming that Obama is able to strongarm Israel away from a strike against Iran’s nuclear facilities. I expect Israel to strike, and all hell will break loose. The question, I guess, will be whether Obama will sell Israel out by blaming her entirely for the ensuing mess. My bet is he will. And my bet is a lot of people won’t buy it.

You are not paying attention, Obama is successfully doing precisely what he intends. Pay back against the evil white races of the north by defanging and neutering the western societal model that has allowed them to prosper.
After he has wreaked his havoc upon it’s foundations, he will plunder it’s wealth and redistribute it to the oppressed peoples of color in the south. Dont beleive me? Take alook at the Global Poverty Act of ’07, the only bill sponsored by Sen Obama.

Some months ago I made a prediction that the DNC would at least have a discussion about not supporting Obama in the 2012 election.
I repeat it here, only because its no longer a long shot. I give it a 20% chance. You just know there are small groups of Dem strategists who see the future, and it ain’t good for them.

Well put. The Left will certainly self-destruct … the question is whether it’ll be like a suicide bomber or just a lonely suicide or something in between, like a selfish, self-absorbed depressive who jumps off a building onto a crowded street. … There are still signs of hope. If their legislation can be held to reversible acts and the monetary crisis doesn’t hit before the elections, then it’s possible to get growth-oriented policies implemented (I don’t think The Precedent has the guts to veto bill after bill, even by slim majorities) … but Israel is going to have to hit Iran, soon, and that is going to cause a global wave of immense proportions, that many have already practiced for in their reactions to the last Gaza operation. Everyone in the world has assigned the problem of Iran to Israel, and then they’re going to pounce all over Israel right after Israel does it. And there’s going to be a huge monetary shock.
Well … we’ll see what happens. There are going to be some surprise events soon, I would guess. And the coming UN meeting might be seen as so insanely ridiculous (which the UN is) that even more people become strongly opposed to what’s going on. The Honduran ambassador is a terrorist from the 80′s (a bomber) who is Zelaya’s pick. The US won’t give a visa to the Honduran government’s ambassador because they are calling it an illegitimate (or, in The Precedent’s words, “aaay illegitimate”) coup junta – officially. It’s like the Bill Ayers of Honduras is their UN rep … Crazy world.

The overwhelming problem for this admin is they underestimate the intelligence and power of the individual. Not knowing the “enemy” (well informed, working and prideful Americans) they have done NOTHING but overreach overspend and show their hand. It seems to me that Hussein is taking sides with Russia and Venzuala in supporting Irans agenda which is to eliminate Isreal. Unfortunately, as Hussein attempts to embrace communist dictators such as Chavez and the Muslims, we ultimately endanger lives in South Korea and Isreal!
