Video: ACORN chief vows to fight “modern-day McCarthyism”; Update: California launches probe of ACORN
posted at 8:11 pm on September 16, 2009 by Allahpundit
She finally decided to crawl out of the bunker and hit some cable shows this afternoon. Not surprisingly, Blitzer’s segment is the more informative of the two: Watch her thank O’Keefe and Giles for helping weed out the very few bad apples in the ACORN system before (a) threatening to sue them, (b) accusing them of doctoring the vids, and (c) alleging that they were turned away from “dozens” of offices. She also hedges when he presses her on submitting to an external review in lieu of that sham “audit” she thinks we’re all stupid enough to take seriously. As for the Schultz clip, it’s worth watching for two reasons. One, the “Nuts vs. ACORN” chyron is vintage MSNBC. And two, the McCarthyism soundbite at the very end, used here to deflect public interest in a nonprofit conspiring to cover up child sex trafficking, will live in infamy.
Ace is right, incidentally. Their new strategy, now that Big Government is making them bleed every day, is simply to hang on until they run out of videos and then wait for the public to lose interest. If you’re tired of these cretins getting your tax dollars, now’s the time to call Boehner, Cantor, and the rest of the House GOP and demand that they vote on defunding as soon as possible. Put the bill on Obama’s desk. Make him veto it.
Update: Evidently Schwarzenegger’s a modern-day McCarthyite too. Who knew?

For those who have only seen parts of that San Bernadino vid and are wondering if Tresa “might” have been afraid because she was after all “at the office all alone,” you might want to check out the extended version of that vid now posted at BigGovernment.com It’s like James and Hannah were in these people’s heads about what to post when because they come out with some asinine excuse or explanation and the very next video proves they are lying through their teeth.
BTW, if Tresa was so all alone with these two “scary” individuals, who’s the dude sitting next to Hannah on the coach offering input as well? It sure ain’t James!
Man, this is better than a soap opera! I really don’t know how they “scripted” this thing so well, but wow! Cudos to Hannah and James!

OT: BOR is on now trying to argue that ACORN has little connection to Obama.
WTF? O’Reilly must be setting himself up for some kind of ratings-bonanza interview that Obama will finally take when his or Obamacare’s disapproval goes into freefall.
Sorry, O’Reilly, ACORN = Obama. And by the time Obama comes begging, it’ll be too late.
BuckeyeSam on September 16, 2009 at 8:23 PM
Actually, BOR went over top the “dark side” once he was granted BHO’s only Fox intvw. during the election. Now he has become a “full monty” AGW apologist as well. I hope when his contract is up Fox dumps him. If he went to NBC,doubtful I know, but it’d fun to watch Olberman try to spin it. More likely his freakin head would explode, I’d pay to watch it too.
Archimedes on September 16, 2009 at 8:50 PM
Actually I just read that James cut his teeth doing “gotcha” videos at Planned Parenthood. He’s the guy who asked if he could specifically donate for the abortion of an African-American baby (yeah, he really did that), and the Planned Parenthood person was like, “Oh, yes, of course. That would be wonderful.” (paraphrase but close) Strangely, I remember reading about this when it came out some time back, but it passed so quickly no one ever took any real notice of it.
Guess you can’t say that now. Hey, James, you might want to resurrect THAT video now that you have made a name for yourself.

The PC police have spoken.
You can actually tell some things from the way people dress. How you present yourself to the world does matter. Noticing and critiquing people’s dress may or may not be appropriate depending on each individual case, but doing so is by no means “racist.” That’s stupid, liberal nonsense.

Third, get the Exempt Organizations branch of the IRS in to do a complete audit of this organization, following all its money trails to affiliates, for the purpose of getting its 501(c)(3) status REVOKED. Then, no more income tax deductions for donors, no more grants from foundations authorized to make grants only to 501(c)(3)organizations, and, if ACORN loses its tax-exempt status altogether, it’ll be subject to federal income tax at corporate income tax rates.

Let me answer this for you Dave S…my comment is not about what she is wearing so much as it is about what she’s NOT wearing. ACORN is a multi-million dollar enterprise and Bertha here is at or near the top rung in this “buisness” I am castigating her for not appearing professional. She looks like she just hopped out of her bed and went on tv. Even the greaseball Levinson (ACORN Spokesperson) had the professional courtesy to look like a professional when he represents the organization. She looks slovenly and unkempt…but then again she is the face of ACORN and one of its leader….apparently the rest of the organization takes their clues of how to operate a business from her unprofessional manner and demeanor….were you not locked into the race card because you cant debate the FACTS that she and her organization are promoting child sex slavery…

Interesting…
The political elite politicians and bureaucratic class just came back from ‘Town Hall Meetings’ in August followed by Millions who marched across the nation, especially in Washington, D.C. basically telling them we are pissed off…

I highly doubt anyone across the country is going to take their eyes off of the sleaze and corruption that has been brought to light anytime soon…

Beck addressed the McCarthy charge yesterday. McCarthy was a sitting senator going after private citizens. Perhaps ACORN doesn’t realize it is a quasi-government agency.
Or that being supported personally by the most powerful man in the world makes them the establishment.
And the Davids going after this Goliath are young twenty-somethings with $3000.
I guess she is used to being the victim… and has a hard time picturing a black man as the most powerful man in the world.
But hey I bet she wanted “Change”–well this is what it looks like. You follow the law and answer to the American people.

O’Reilly would like to land an interview with The One like he had during the campaign.
If you recall, in that visit to Fox, O’Reilly asked Bamster a few hard questions but skipped the follow-ups so he could maybe, kinda-sorta, get another interview later. O’Reilly was more than kind.
In anticiipation of another date with Obama, BOR is still playing it coy.
If Obama gives an interview, ever again, to Fox, it will probably be to BOR.

In all honesty, DaveS, just FYI, that does indeed look like a housedress my Nana used to wear. Nothing particularly “African” about it. (More like “70s” I’d say.)
And yes I’ve seen very loosefitting dresses like that all over Goodwill (where I shop for ALL my skirts, suits and business attire, so don’t you guys be puttin’ down Goodwill, now!).
She’s certainly free to wear whatever she likes on TV. You must admit, however, that loose fitting dresses are not standard talk show material. Perhaps she would look even more professional in a smart suit. Like this one. Now that’s professional attire.

Nope, You’re wrong. People holding such high positions in a very visible organization such as this should, and do dress more professionally. The way one dress speaks to one’s attitude toward not only their job/career, but how they want others to view them.
