Did anyone think Bush was the Antichrist? Yes

A few years back I saw this show on one of the geek channels a program about Nostradamus and the antichrist.

The claim was the antichrist would be named MABUS and this name was a combination of Bush and Osama, seriously, I’m not making this up.

I fully expect that for the next 3 years we will here how OBAMA is actually MABUS, if ya shuffle the letters around and selectively use the Bacon cypher it works!

Ture, if use shuffle the letters of any name and selectively cypher it works!

However, neither Bush nor Obama are competent so they do not meet the requirement as the antichrist.

32% of Democrats are truthers,
Now I think these folks all have way too much time on their hands, but how does a 16-point spread between the 2 make them ‘mirror images’ of one another? That is some pretty impressive number juggling right there

Democrats on Birtherism is an 80% to 9% split with 80% believe Obama was born in the USA.

Republicans on Trutherism is an 85% to 11% split with 80% do not believe Bush “did” 9/11

Ok so the book of Revelation is past tense? Ha! I don’t remember Nero using a mark on the forehead or hand in order to buy and sell. Interesting that that technology is only coming about in the 21st century. Not saying Obama is THE AntiChrist but I am convinced he is against Christ and that the true AntiChrist is not far behind. The prophecies are all lining up — Israel, technology, information/knowledge, all the world able to see one event in the world simultaneously, America withdrawing support for Israel (so that all countries are against him), etc. Laugh if you want, but they were laughing when Noah was building the ark. And Jesus said as the days of Noah so will the coming of the Son of Man be.

In an age of Weekly World News and National Enquirer, you can find eight percent of the population who believe in darned near anything. Hell, I believe in UFO’s (because I’ve seen them). I have no clue from where they came, but just believing is nutty enough I suppose. Most of us still function in society, so I’m not too worried about that small chunk of New Jersey. The real question is how many of that eight percent actually plan to do something about it. I’m guessing zero.

Living in Jersey, I can attest that I have heard someone in this state say “Bush is the antichrist. No, wait, Bush sucks, but Cheney’s worse, so Cheney’s got to be it. Aw, f—, can’t they both qualify?” I’ve also heard a couple of (different) people recently wonder aloud about Obama.

I’m not surprised with the 8% number. Keep in mind that, although we’re a blue state, we’re not as reliably blue as some of our neighbors up here. Here’s hoping Chris Christie can hold on for a couple more months to election day!

I would be curious to see what it’s like where I grew up, Tennessee. Growing up, I heard people who thought that about Clinton, and he turned out to have a weakness for sins of the flesh but not much else substantive.

The anti-Christ is not some sort of super intelligent devil. The anti-Christ is merely a figure who, unbeknown to him, will play the major role in bring about the end of the world. Since the US president is the most influential man in the world, it will most likely be him. Obama, more by accident of history, than by any design, might be that man.
