Fool me once--shame on you!
Fool me twice shame on me!
Not sure but I think O was trying to fool the country for the 30th time on OB-care. And he can't even fool the Democrats now!

Obama ought to call another joint session and give the same speech. He's given it twice already and three times might be a charm.

Obama's problem is not wanting anyone to read his bill before it is passed. I can understand the concept but we haven't progressed that far yet in America.

The House is trying to steer the ship in the right direction with the Joe Wilson censure, a brilliant tactic I hope they repeat again soon.

Obama should instead try to follow the model of his best friend Chavez, and bypass the legislature. He can arrest Wilson the next time Wilson opens his mouth. problem solved

How the hell did it drop that much over night?

He really must have sucked Sunday.

Chuck Schick on September 15, 2009 at 1:22 PM

The latest poll is a two-day average of Sunday and Monday polling, while the previous poll is an average of Saturday and Sunday.

On Saturday, Tea Partiers were out in force on the streets of Washington, not answering their phones for Rasmussen, leaving ObamaCare supporters in the majority.

By Monday, they were back at work, and available to answer phones for Rasmussen in the evening.

Since both polls are diluted with Sunday's results, there could be another sharp decline by tomorrow, when Sunday's results drop out of the average.

Or he can go the Hugo Chavez route.

I almost hope he takes the latter route - it would lead to a rebirth of liberty in the United States - what has transpired thus far in the tea party movment certainly has moved things back in the direction the founders intended.

We need to keep moving in that direction.

If he goes Chavez, we will have an armed rebellion.

He's not totally foolish.

Now let's light of the switchboards, and fax the hell out of them.

Kill ALL Bills on healthcare, unless it institutes REAL non-governmental reform.

Obama is the perfect Liberal.

His policy (making speeches) is failing miserably, so his answer is to do it more and more.

Isn't the definition of insanity doing the same thing over and over again while expecting a different result?

And so was the bump. The "bump" was manufactured by the MSM to try and drive public opinion. No one was buying the speech and no one is buying the poll.

Too much credit has been given to obama for being an energetic, intelligent leader. He's none of that.

He's simply a socialist liberal fascist orator and puppet for the Soros scumbags that want to enslave this nation.

I think everyone that enjoys even a modicum of freedom ought to be incensed with him and his plans for this country. ESPECIALLY the black people of America, who clearly still have raw memories of what it was like to have slavery rule. How blacks can support this piece of crap just based on his color is really depressing. He's hurting them far more than they can ever imagine.

I just received an email from my Representative, who is also an MD. Here are some excerpts:

Health Care: Alternative Legislation in the House

Furthermore, the President delivered what the Washington Post referred to as a “campaign-style speech” to thousands of union members last Monday. In this speech, the President attacked critics of health care legislation – H.R. 3200 – claiming they did not have an alternative plan:

"I've got a question for all those folks: What are you going to do? What's your answer? What's your solution?

"And you know what? They don't have one," Obama said.

Quite frankly, this is just flat wrong. As a critic of H.R. 3200 and someone who is very interested in implementing legislation that will help- not hurt the American people – I have joined with other members of Congress to propose an alternative plan - H.R. 3400, the Empowering Patients First Act.

H.R. 3400 Gives Full Access to Coverage

First, we need to make health insurance more affordable. Where some believe federal mandates and centralized control is the answer to contain costs, we believe there’s a better approach. As cost is the biggest barrier to coverage, H.R. 3400 offers tax credits and deductions, which are advanceable and on a sliding scale, so the less wealthy and those without employer-provided plans will be able to purchase coverage.

A true market for Americans to purchase this personal private coverage, however, does not currently exist. The Empowering Patients First Act achieves this by allowing all Americans to use pre-tax dollars to buy coverage on the open market, leveling the playing field with employer-provided care that already receives this benefit. In addition, to provide Americans greater purchasing power, the legislation allows small businesses and other groups to pool together to increase their purchasing power so that people can come together freely to drive down prices. These pools will provide a place for those with pre-existing conditions to find coverage at an affordable price. And there is the opportunity to purchase health insurance across state lines, which is currently barred.

Finally, we cannot fully bring down costs without addressing the runaway medical liability crisis. From exorbitant malpractice insurance premiums to the remarkably expensive practice of defensive medicine, it is my experience that the current culture of litigation costs patients hundreds of billions of dollars. These costs do nothing to provide better care, but rather serve only as a defense against unyielding personal injury lawyers. H.R. 3400 tackles this problem with the creation of new health courts that trust the expert opinions of medical professionals. When malpractice suits are brought through specialized courts and viewed through the perspective of medically appropriate care, rather than a lottery mentality, we will see a decline in frivolous lawsuits and the need for costly defensive medicine.

I just got back from running an errand and was flipping through the channels, and what did I hear? Another speech from Obama.

I bet his poll numbers would go up if he just went back to his office and got some work done. People are tired of listening to him and seeing him on tv.
