New ACORN video: Murder in California?

posted at 4:52 pm on September 15, 2009 by Allahpundit

I’ve been checking Big Government since 4 p.m. for the new clip but it looks like they’re going to wait and roll it out simultaneously with Beck’s show on Fox, which I assume pretty much all of you will be watching. Here’s your thread to comment. The rumors of what’s on this new one are scandalous, but they’re still only rumors — for a few more minutes at least. I’ll post the clips here as soon as they’re available.

Over/under on how many questions the community-organizer-in-chief gets about ACORN during his Sunday morning media blitz: One. Stand by for updates.

Update: Here we go.

Looks like we’ve got a confession to either murder or manslaughter in the very first minute here. Can’t wait for that House vote on whether to keep funding this syndicate.

Update: And now, within the second minute, we’ve got a death threat from the murderer/manslaughterer.

Update: I’m not even halfway through and this woman’s spitting out names of California pols she claims to regularly “lobby.” Boxer is among them.

Update: The first clip ends with her confessing to having run a prostitution ring of her very own and, naturally, not declaring a dime of the proceeds to the IRS. Presumably ACORN’s defense will be that this woman’s full-blown nuts and is spinning a yarn to impress her clients, but (a) she sure is specific about dollar amounts, and (b) San Bernardino PD will have something to say about her ex, I’m guessing. Stand by while we wait for the next clip, which I’ll post below.

Update: It’s 6 p.m. and they still haven’t posted the next vid. Maybe they’re saving it for tomorrow? If so, two parting thoughts for now. One: Giles dropped a big hint in her BG post this afternoon that this isn’t the last office they visited. Which makes sense. Why go to the trouble of flying out to the coast to visit only San Bernardino? Two: As sensational as the details about murder are, don’t let that swallow up the larger story about the pattern of conspiracy in covering up sex trafficking that O’Keefe and Giles keep finding at ACORN offices. The murder stuff might not be true or she might already have done her time or, although it sounds unlikely, it might have been a legitimate case of self-defense. ACORN apologists are desperate to change the subject and this may end up giving them a chance. As O’Keefe reminds us, Alinsky Rule #8: “Keep the pressure on. Never let up.”

Update: A clever point from Goldfarb. If ACORN believes all these videos are doctored, why are they firing the employees involved?

Blowback

DFA is the political machine and why ACORN is so important.

http://www.democracyforamerica.com/

DFA was founded by the Howard Dean, DNC.

http://www.democracyforamerica.com/campaignacademy
“Our Campaign Academy weekends are 16 hours of interactive workshops that bring hundreds of local activists, campaign staff and candidates together for 2 days of intensive campaign training.”

ACORN and their ilk are the workers. The DFA are training candidates, using ACORN to get them elected, and ACORN writes legislation, getting tax money in return to pay the workers. That’s the racket. That’s the machine.

This is the political machine.

DFA founded by Howard Dean.

http://www.democracyforamerica.com/

The DFA trains candidates, uses ACORN to get them elected, and then ACORN or APOLLO or the like write legislation, the newly elected officials pass legislation, ACORN workers are paid by legislation.

Our Campaign Academy weekends are 16 hours of interactive workshops that bring hundreds of local activists, campaign staff and candidates together for 2 days of intensive campaign training.

Every facet of our political landscape is touched by DFA.

Locally in San Bernardino, ACORN members and organizer Tresa Kaelke drove voters to the polls, many first-time voters. And ACORN distributed 10,000 voter rights palm cards informing voters of their rights and contact information for complaints or concerns at the polls.

I AM VERY IMPRESSED, and very happy for the kneecapping! Again, I appreciate the work these young investigators are doing as much as the next concerned anti-marxist.

Still, I think this vid leaves an opening for the enemy dirt-diggers if it turns out that the old-hooker-turned-community-organizer was just blowing smoke up Big Pimpin’s ass. Yes, it’s another target blasted to hell. Yes, the pipe-smoking hooker is offering the same Acorn advise as the other targets. Guilty, guilty, guilty. Hang the motherf#!kers. yoda on September 15, 2009 at 8:24 PM

One theory on Drudge (by others, not me):

If he puts up the link, the MSM will feel more comfortable going with the story, but he and Brietbart want the press to hold off as long as possible to make them look stupid to normal, less informed Americans, when the story finally breaks through.

gmoonster on September 15, 2009 at 8:27 PM

Posted elsewhere:

Canada Free Press reported on 10/10/08:

“Obama’s ties to the group include training ACORN employees, providing legal representation to the group, receiving their endorsement for his presidential bid, and compensating a known subsidiary. One story being investigated by some reporters is the $800,000.00 donation to ACORN by the Obama campaign. Obama spokespersons have told reporters that the donation was a bookkeeping error.

According to a Pittsburgh reporter, the campaign originally “misrepresented” the group’s work to the FEC.

“U.S. Sen. Barack Obama’s presidential campaign paid more than $800,000 to an offshoot of the liberal Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now for services the Democrat’s campaign says it mistakenly misrepresented in federal reports.

An Obama spokesman said Federal Election Commission reports would be amended to show Citizens Services Inc.—a subsidiary of ACORN—worked in ‘get-out-the-vote’ projects, instead of activities such as polling, advance work and staging major events as stated in FEC finance reports filed during the primary.” (David M. Brown, “Obama To Amend Report On $800,000 In Spending,” Pittsburgh Tribune Review, 8/22/08)

As Obama once said said, “The acorn doesn’t fall far from the tree,” and in this case, he’s exactly right.”

Full article at http://www.canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/5494

The RNC tried to get the information out in 2008 via ObamaAcornTree. The RNC and McCain were ineffectual and the MSM jeered and covered it up.

So two kids in their 20’s, with $1,300 to their names, did what the RNC and McCain couldn’t do and what the MSM wouldn’t do.

She makes it pretty clear that her husband was beating her, and that she shot him in self-defense. Chances are this case was already handled by the proper authorities… I think Allahpundit is right that we shouldn’t let that admission distract us from the other issue — attacking her for shooting her husband would be denying the right of self-defense to a battered woman, and that’s not a road we want to go down.

How close is the president to this? How about Rahm Emanuel? Somebody close has to be up to their eyeballs in it. I’d love it if we had a special prosecutor looking into this and I’m no fan of special prosecutors. But if there was ever a case of needing an independent investigation this is it.

How could Charles Gibson not know about this when all the networks were announcing the Senate vote to stop $$ going to ACORN?

I don’t know what arrest report you are referring to. However, if it is like 99.9999999999% of domestic abuse cases, the police are called many times on many occasions and more often than not the suspect is gone because he knows the police will arrest him.

Oops! I misread your post. Mea Culpa.

Blake on September 15, 2009 at 9:25 PM

It should. They managed to have the senate vote to cut their funding by a huge margin. It’s pretty impressive.

Who cares if she killed someone or not? It is irrelevant. They are not criminal investigators. And if she was lying, it just shows whose running these nuthouses called ACORN.

Blake on September 15, 2009 at 6:56 PM

Well, I may be wrong, just let me know if I am, but I thought the senate voted on the funding issue yesterday, before this vid came out. So I don’t see the connection between this release today and what happened yesterday.

As for who cares if she killed someone or not just looking at the title of the thread tells me someone cares. My concern with the truth of her boast is what some posters here have called due diligence. If it turns out to be just pipe-smoker’s shit talking, and due diligence is lacking it leaves a little hole for the enemy to smut up Big Pimpin’s investigative integrity–a subject discussed everyday on HA. To you it’s irrelevant, to me it’s not.

Well, I’ll put forth the argument that they may not be 50, but they are criminal investigators, of a sort, since they’re investigating what we all think is the biggest criminal enterprise in the nation.

I can’t argue with your last point.

Lastly, I consider the pimp and the ho’ as brave hero’s just as you do. We just see a few things differently.

Love me some (select) Canadian HotHeads.

House GOP to Obama: Cut the ACORN Roots Now
by Mike Flynn

Last night, 83 members of the United States Senate went on record to prohibit ACORN from collecting any federal funds. Tonight, over 130 members of the House of Representatives sent a letter to President Obama, asking him to disclose and terminate all federal funding to ACORN.

Read full report at biggovernment.com

Copy of the letter is posted with signatures. But 305 members of the House are still silent about Acorn.

tick tock tick tock.

Who’s next on the video?

Hannah and Andrew alluded to the next video that sounds like it’s going to be torpedoes broadside–like someone’s going to go to jail after this gets out. Oh she is such a tease!

Ouch Kay Bailey Hutchenson slams Rick Perry over ACORN photo

William Amos on September 15, 2009 at 9:16 PM

If I was a stoopid texan voter, I would be mighty offended by that — Oh gawddammm, it’s photographic evidence of rickperry’s stooooopid pandering.

And of course, I would be 100% correct.

Except that Texas has prospered under the pretty boy’s rule (remember, Tx power is concentrated in the lt. gov — Dewhurst) and the last thing Texas needs is for some Inside-The-Washington-Beltway pit viper to come in here and start paying off her D.C. debts with Texas’s hard-earned deficit surplus.

It’s their address. However, since they worked in pairs, I would expect them to mention the female but they don’t. It may have been a situation where the people weren’t scum and called the police to cya.

dude; we totally need 5x targets on who is interviewing him on Sunday. They need some Alinsky treatment themselves. By Sunday, they should be beaten black n’ blue n’ purple and reduced to one essential question—-”Tell me Mr. President, about ACORN.”

Obama’s silence on this is deafening. The fact that he has said nothing can only indicate that he has no problem with ACORN’s behavior.
