Fox News posts full, unedited video of sting on ACORN San Bernardino

posted at 7:39 pm on September 15, 2009 by Allahpundit

I’m not sure why Breitbart, O’Keefe, and Giles are holding back part two of their vid when FNC already has the whole hour-long escapade up on its site, but people are starved for more so I’ll feed you what I have. Below you’ll find no fewer than seven clips: The first three are of Beck commenting on the lowlights of the tapes from today’s special all-ACORN episode and the last four comprise what appears to be the complete unedited video — sans subtitles and narration — from the office visit. One interesting bit not included in the clip that we watched earlier but flagged by Beck is of “Theresa” insisting that her supervisor would never go in for this sort of deal … before suggesting that she might have a racket like this going on on the side herself.

No reaction to tonight’s latest bombshell from ACORN thus far, and no further word from the House GOP about pushing to defund the organization. It’s awfully quiet out there.

‘Believable’ as in she’s a total BSer about her stories, or ‘believable’ as in she doesn’t work for ACORN?
B.S. She seems to be making it up as she goes, bragging and exaggerating, and I bet they find she never had a dead husband and try to use that to claim the other vids were all b.s., too.

Extraneus on September 15, 2009 at 7:57 PM

Do I think “I killed my husband” is b.s.? Yeah. Do I think she would help find funding for a child-prostitution operation? You bet.

I don’t know, carneys probably have more morals and honor than ACORN workers.

I think an admitted murder/manslaughter is bigger than anything else. She clearly admitted that she planned the shooting because she went through the machinations of getting her ducks in a row.

csdeven on September 15, 2009 at 8:00 PM

I agree that she was a nasty one, but she’s also the type that Barry and the Dems will easily distance themselves from.
Remember how the media dismissed all those trailer trash girls that Bill Clinton kept taking up with? They won’t trash the black workers, but they’ll go after today’s.

atheling on September 15, 2009 at 8:10 PM

It’s unfortunate that the undercover couple released the unedited video of the this sting before the ones they aired before, since that makes it look like they have something to hide in the other cases. Maybe they just had this one ready first, but it tarnishes the investigation a tad. It’s no defense of ACORN, but it doesn’t help their case against ACORN.

All of this is just another nail in the coffin of the dinosaur media. They used to own this type of investigative reporting and now a couple of twenty-somethings with a video camera can do it, and do it more effectively.

The MSM is not only behind on this story, they’re barely even in the picture. And you know what? It no longer matters.

Breitbart explained on Hannity’s radio show this afternoon that they are dropping the videos one at a time because they knew if they dumped them all at once, it would get the same treatment that Van Jones did—that is, a footnote on page 37 about someone resigning.

Hannity also said he’s going to have some exclusive video tonight, so I’m guessing that’s where Theresa’s second act will be unveiled.

I wouldn’t so much concentrate on the ACORN weirdo, I think she is too easy to discount as being a little wacky.
What needs to be done is show that ACORN, in general, has no standards, they will hire anyone that promotes what they are taught to promote, without regards to the law.
So far, we have seen what type of people ACORN hires and what type of training they provide.
I don’t want ACORN to use these employees as scapegoats…

Could Acorn become Obama’s Watergate?

No reaction to tonight’s latest bombshell from ACORN thus far, and no further word from the House GOP about pushing to defund the organization. It’s awfully quiet out there.

The House is too busy admonishing Joe Wilson for calling the Pres a liar. While O’Reilly is leading his show with the Acorn story, Olber-nutt started his segment by quoting Jimmey Carter’s claim that racism is becoming rampant against our Black President.

Hey Keith, how’s that kool-aid?

I was watching Fox News, and the Emergency Broadcast System was activated for an Amber Alert. That is fine, except when the alert was over, the EBS kept control of Comcast Cable, and switched to C-SPAN and Steny Hoyer’s speech today in congress about Wilson….

I could not change channels, switch to DVR, nothing. My TV was being controlled. Why was I forced to watch the Hoyer garbage??

When he was done, it switched back to O’Reilly.

SouthernGent on September 15, 2009 at 8:06 PM

O’Reilly pissed me off so much last night that I will NEVER watch that pompous moron again. He marginalized Saturday’s March on Washington and poo-pooed the idea that it was anything more than 75,000. Repeated that over and over again. After the break, he interrupted Bernie Goldberg to “clarify” where he got the 75,000 figure from (DCFD). It was apparent that he had gotten a slew of phone calls complaining about it. Then he found the five minimally offensive signs that he could and two people with extreme or paranoid views and repeated that loop over and over. Then he thinks he’s covering his butt by saying (I’m paraphrasing,) “This is what the other networks are showing. They are trying to say this is just a bunch of fringe lunatics.” Well news flash, O’Reilly, that’s exactly what YOU are doing. The man makes me sick.

Thankfully, I’ve got Mark Levin’s final hour to enjoy instead, and he never lets me down.

Canada Free Press reported on 10/10/08:

“Obama’s ties to the group include training ACORN employees, providing legal representation to the group, receiving their endorsement for his presidential bid, and compensating a known subsidiary. One story being investigated by some reporters is the $800,000.00 donation to ACORN by the Obama campaign. Obama spokespersons have told reporters that the donation was a bookkeeping error.

According to a Pittsburgh reporter, the campaign originally “misrepresented” the group’s work to the FEC.

“U.S. Sen. Barack Obama’s presidential campaign paid more than $800,000 to an offshoot of the liberal Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now for services the Democrat’s campaign says it mistakenly misrepresented in federal reports.

An Obama spokesman said Federal Election Commission reports would be amended to show Citizens Services Inc.—a subsidiary of ACORN—worked in ‘get-out-the-vote’ projects, instead of activities such as polling, advance work and staging major events as stated in FEC finance reports filed during the primary.” (David M. Brown, “Obama To Amend Report On $800,000 In Spending,” Pittsburgh Tribune Review, 8/22/08)

As Obama once said said, “The acorn doesn’t fall far from the tree,” and in this case, he’s exactly right.

Full article at http://www.canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/5494

GrannyDee on September 15, 2009 at 8:25 PM

With between 100-200 offshoot and ancillary ACORN organizations, senate legislation to slash funding may unfortunately not affect all the affiliates. The liberals will make certain some of the more easily disguised subsidiaries still have access to a federal funding stream. The whole idea makes me nauseous.

anXdem on September 15, 2009 at 7:59 PM

If conservatives, or republicans of any stripe, had a racket set up like Acorn and it’s hundreds of offshoots, who ran a criminal enterprise of voter fraud and campaigning for Democrats and their legislation, ALL THE WHILE USING OUR TAXPAYERS DOLLARS TO DO THIS, THEY WOULD BE JAILED AND BOOTED FROM OFFICE.

HOWEVER, THE DEMOCRATS DO IT AND THEY GET ACORN FUNDED TO THE TUNE OF EIGHT BILLION DOLLARS, AND GET THEIR HEAD ACORN, OBAMA, ELECTED IN ORDER TO CONTINUE THE CORRUPTION FOR GENERATIONS TO COME.

Now that a 20 year old and a 25 year old have exposed something that can be used to finish ACORN off, the Republicans darn well better drive the stake through and take down as many pols as possible, Obama being priority, public enemy #1.

upinak on September 15, 2009 at 8:34 PM

The reason the MSM isn’t covering the ACORN story is the same reason that the Democratic congress hasn’t demanded a RICO investigation of ACORN in the past– It’s because many of them have contributed handsomely to ACORN (and millions from the labor unions). The Dems have benefited exponentially through ACORN’s get-out-the-vote (Project Vote, among others) programs that support democratic candidates.

In 1992, Obimbo was the Illinois director of ACORN’s controversial voter registration operation (Project Vote). In this capacity, he trained the group’s leaders in the Saul Alinsky and Bill “the bomber” Ayers school of radical, often illegal, and nearly always confrontational politics. He also served as a lawyer for ACORN.

Between Feb. 25 and March 17 2008 Obimbo paid Citizens Services, Inc., (a subsidiary of ACORN) $832,598, for get-out-the-vote activities. Obimbo won’t let ACORN go down and neither will the legions of house and senate Democrats who have supported and won elections through ACORN for decades (since around 1977).

It’ll be interesting to see how Obimbo and co manage to squirm their way out of this mess…

Wow. Sage advice if I say so myself.

BobMbx on September 15, 2009 at 8:38 PM

Now that a 20 year old and a 25 year old have exposed something that can be used to finish ACORN off, the Republicans darn well better drive the stake through and take down as many pols as possible, Obama being priority, public enemy #1.

It shouldn’t be too hard to check out the husband story. There aren’t that many husbands shot by their wives. There is no telling where in the country it would have happened and she might be using a different last name now, but it shouldn’t be hard to research and verify.

What I’m truly interested in is how deeply ACORN has its roots into city hall. I know SEIU is a big player in this town.

Better question: Why isn’t M. Steele explaining why the RNC 1) isn’t screaming this from the rooftops and 2) isn’t utilizing this kind of information war to destroy the DNC?

BobMbx on September 15, 2009 at 8:42 PM

She first says that her husband wasn’t abusing her at the moment she shot him (“no not that at that instance”) then she says “he was going to [abuse her]” and she “knew it was coming”, but then she say he actually “came at me” and she “let him throw [her] around a bit” before she shot him. It seems like she’s just making this stuff up on the fly. I vote that she’s a nut and is BS’ing. All the same the funding definitely needs to be cut off.

The “you mean you killed him emotionally?” question was priceless.

lovingmyUSA on September 15, 2009 at 8:45 PM

It doesn’t matter if this woman is “crazy” as some are saying…the fact is, ACORN clearly interviewed this exact same woman and decided she fit right in. She can barely string a coherent sentence together and sounds to me like the result of no education and years of substance abuse – right up ACORN’s street. I just hope they keep on tugging at this ACORN thread until they’re stark naked.

The argument that higher brass are not responsible for the words or actions of low ranking employees just doesn’t cut it. The whole POINT of a hierarchy is that the top tiers are ultimately responsible for everything that goes on below. That’s why competent, respectable organizations go to such great lengths to employ standards and personally ensure that such standards are adhered to. When they don’t, it’s as much a bad reflection on them as a deliquent child is on its parents.

Lets get Theresa’s full name and Google her to see if she did shoot her husband.

csdeven on September 15, 2009 at 8:09 PM

I’ve checked. The only things I could find were two restraining orders from 2007 and 08. One filed by her, Tresa Kaelke and the other by her husband, Ronald C. Kaelke.

It’s possible she is batshit crazy…but it’s also possible that she killed an earlier husband, so the info would be under a different name than Kaelke.

Oh and I forgot to add, although I’m sure someone else has already, that’s it’s a bonus that the lowlife was white on this occasion – they’ve effectively neutralized the race card. They could theoretically play the redneck card but as we all know rednecks and white trailer trash are acceptable targets for liberals and do not have politically protected status.

So download and install the pre release version of Windows 7 (if you still can). I have it running on my laptop – it works like a dream, is much smaller and efficient than Vista and to be quite honest I could never go back. It’s the best version of Windows in history, better than XP even.

Thanks. I remember it, too, from back in ’08. It came and went so quickly. For some reason (????) the RNC and McCain camp pulled the info and wouldn’t hammer on Bambi for his connection to Acorn.

And look where we are now. I hope this pile of c**p lands right in Oblablah’s lap, and he’s hauled out of the WH in handcuffs.

I was thinking earlier how small pebbles in the shoes of soldiers can stop an entire army in its tracks. Maybe O’Keefe and Giles are the “pebbles” we’ve been waiting for to stop the pRez.

San Bernardino ACORN lady WRITES LEGISLATION

Update: 6:05pmEST: Yes indeedy it seem the loony ACORN worker really DOES lobby State and Federal CA Congresspeople IN PERSON, as recently as this JULY. To wit this entry from the ACORN BloG.

Friday July 10, 2009
Members Michael and Dennis of the San Bernardino ACORN along with Tresa Kaelke (San Bernardino ACORN Community Organizer) and Christina Spach (California Field Corrdinator); attended the schedule meeting with California State Senator Gloria Negrete McLeod of District 32.

The topics of discussion:

AB377 (prevent pay day loan increases). Currently pay day loan companies are trying to increase the lending rate in the state of California from $300.00 to $500.00 per pay day loan. At this time the interest rate paid is $15.00 per $100.00 borrowed. Michael discussed the dangers of such increases. The Senator believes the bill would die before it even gets to get desk for consideration.

AB260 (prevent predatory mortgage lending). This bill is designed to add stiffer consequences to bad mortgage lending. Dennis discussed this bill with the Senator. The Senator was moved by the personal story that Dennis shared. The Senator requested more information on this bill.

Michael brought to the discussion floor SB 1137 which has been in law for almost 1 year. SB 1137 requires the lenders/bank to carry out certain procedures before a foreclosure could move forward. Michael informed the Senator that one major problem with this bill is that the mediation is not being carried out in the benefit of the homeowner. Michael shared experiences from attorney’s who could not receive a ruling in court from SB 1137. The problem is that the judges have stated that mediation is not defined clearly and thus the steps the lender/banks are taking are sufficient and that SB 1137 lacks teeth to enforce steeper mediation requirements. The Senator asked the ACORN attendees to help her focus on that issue brought up by Michael and move quickly to draft a bill to for mediation and the mandated steps that should be taken to give SB 1137 teeth.

In conclusion, the meeting was success and we are looking forward in working with Senator McLeod in enhancing SB 1137. Thanks to Dennis, Michael, Tresa and Christina we are making steps in protecting homeowners.
