You can only call an individual a sorry, despicable, boney arse, SOB and the unequivocal, unrepentant, destroyer of democracy as we have know it, so many times; before your listeners sense the total lack of depth and reason in your argument and begin to tune out…?

For criticism to have any value; it should be constructive with respect to specific, genuine, legitimate, alternatives to supposed or perceived past or present unacceptable, practice.

They did it with Palin, Rush, and have now moved on to Glenn Beck. If you want to offer yourself as tool of the Axelturfers, expect other conservatives to be suspicious.

I for one hope Fox moves Beck to a better time slot. We don’t have DVR and it seems like in California, you have to either be unemployed or a night owl to be able to watch him. I’m one of the fifty people left in the state who still has a job, so that’s not me.

I agree w/you evergreen, valid criticism of policy/ points is fine, you’re not going to agree with everyone 100%. But dismissing someone from your own party as a nut job, or using the same language as the leftys is playing into their hands. I also dislike the name calling. You sound like a lefty when you have to resort to that.

To me this is a great advertisement for Hot Air. Go read the article and then read the comments at the beast. If your not a lefty or a democrat they will try to verbally skin you alive. They don’t drink the Kool Aid, they fire it straight into their bloodstream. If you don’t agree, off with your head!!

I don’t hate the personal glenn beck because I don’t know who that guy is. But I do hate the professional glenn beck because I’ve seen his work–and it sucks.

If you don’t believe me, imagine for a moment that you’re arguing with a liberal. And all of a sudden, the librul mentions that he saw something on keith olberdouche—wouldn’t your eyes gravitate to the back of your head. Nope. I mostly “graze” online – a little here, a little there. Used to hang out at LGF until Charles started banning some of his biggest supporters. Followed Ed at CQ until he came over here. I’d drop by Protein Wisdom every now and again (still can’t figure out why Jeff’s stopped posting regularly).

My regular daily reads are here, Michelle, Instapundit, and Althouse, plus a family blog a friend has.

I went to the first Tea Party in February after I heard about it on local radio. Ditto the April 15 one. I checked out the local Tea Party organization, but they’re a little too religious for me (I joke that I may be the only person in the area who’d have a “Rush is Right” bumper sticker next to a P-FLAG one). I’m not much of a joiner, anyway. I’ll show up and add my voice but I’m not too big on groups.
