The 9/12 march in DC was NOT a Republican event as any who informed themselves beyond media narrative knows. It was a rally to preserve our republic. That call resonates not only with Republicans but with Democrats, Independents, Libertarians, and Conservatives.
Progressives/Socialists/Marxists/Maoists/Che-sympathizers simply do not have any “skin in the game” of valuing our republic.
And the issue is not a “game”, nor is it “a distraction”. Axelrod, Emanuel, Pelosi, and Obama can play all of the word games that they want, but their delusion is mighty apparent.
The writer of “The Daily Beast” piece wholly missed the significance of the point that the woman from Cuba was making. It is he who is the “useful idiot,” so blind that he cannot see.

The thread at LGF to which you allude was a slow motion dance with Zombie politely pressing her point. Charles would have banned anyone else who dared disagree with him in the manner which Zombie did, and I held my breath as I scrolled down and watched them spar. I believe that was the night it dawned on Zombie that Charles Johnson had gone totally and completely insane…and she realized that she had allowed him too much access to her private life.
Whether he knows her identity or not, she’s freaked out by Johnson, that’s for sure.

I stopped reading LGF when Charles banned ED the Weather Guy. Ed was incredibly myopic, but a damn smart guy and always had cool weather stuff and huge colored letters smeared across his posts. I just posted a comment on LGF– have been a member for a few years and only posted a few times. I asked him about a comment he made re: “one of the most repulsive posters I think I’ve ever seen.” It’s the one of O in the joker face and asked him if he’d seen the one with Bush and his brains blown out. That is pretty repulsive. This one, not so much. I also asked him about “RIGHT WING BLOGS MASSIVE FAIL” it seemed a bit over hyped and asked him why he didn’t state “some” right wing blogs. There was NOTHING rude or mean in my post..anyway…
I’ve been banned. My comment was not posted. WOW. Chas has lost his way. He’s a complete sell-out. Sad. Never, ever had that problem with ANY site. God forbid someone ask questions or criticize.

I’m glad that everyone on this thread is pretty much reaffirming what I’ve already known—that the guy’s a weasel. I only became aware of the guy after he started going after Robert Spencer for being some crypto-fascist nazi. I’m a dedicated jihad watch reader, but this Charles totally face-flopped on spencer meeting with some english nazi group. And when he’s caught in some lie, he just compounds the situation by adding more. He was even wrong about van jones being a truther. And everyone according to him, is a fascist. I’m glad that everyone’s pretty much aware of his notorious reputation in the blogosphere .

Truthfully, YES. Her (I didn’t realize Zombie was a chick) story on Holdren – for one big example – opened a lot of eyes to how vile this administration really is – and how dangerous it can be. The day to day stories about Berkeley are enlightening for those of us that live in the Free States.

It’s a team effort. Beck knows it, too – heck, he points out that it’s Joe and Jane watchdog sending in stories and things they find. It’s the guy who blew the whistle on the NEA, it’s James & Hannah playing pimp & hooker to showcase ACORN’s corruption it’s every single individual out there in DC last week.
Townhall is full of solid heavy hitting conservative/libertarian thinkers who do a lot of heavy lifting. Michelle does a huge amount of research, Drudge is all over the place constantly being up to speed, Breitbart is right there with him. Beck, like Hannity and Rush, is a visible face on the front lines of this clash of ideologies and pushback against the leftist/statists. I give Levin, Quinn & Rose, Medved, Gunny Bob, Wilkow, Church, Coulter, Ingraham credit – they’re all doing something positive. Heck, even black sheep Savage does something by getting himself blacklisted for thought crimes – illustrating the bizarre moral compass of the left that talk=terror.
It’s a team effort, though. The quarterback can’t throw if there’s no line there, and the receivers can’t get the ball if there’s no one to throw.
Most everybody in the blogroll is doing a big part, too – from Powerline to Jawa Report. (I say “most everybody” because I agree, LGF has turned to crap as CJ has gone nuts.)

I should add my list of big & small folks is by no means comprehensive. I certainly don’t mean to leave out folks like Sowell and Goldberg and Stossel, Penn & Teller and Parker & Stone – there are just too many influential conservative/libertarian/constitutionalist-leaning thinkers, speakers, and doers all along the spectrum to list.

Every group has fringe kooks. Probably most if not all extended families have them. As long as they are simply foaming at the mouth, there’s not much to be done about it. However, America has a history of people taking things too far. Thus the safety and security concerns for the president. No matter how much I dislike and disagree with him, I want no harm to come to him. I want to retain my right and the pleasant duty of helping to vote him out of office.
And then, there’s another aspect of the fringe kooks. Their willingness to go after political commenters and blog posters like you and me. And no matter how much Allahpundit drives me up the wall at times, he’s one of ours. And nobody is to touch a hair on his head, assuming he has any hairs on his head, unless he wants that to happen. Besides, if anything happened to him, who would we have to tease without mercy?
And as for posters like you and me, the notion that LGF is publicly exposing identities of posters with whom they disagree really is frightening. I cannot imagine Michelle, Ed or AP stooping to such a level, endangering posters and dishonoring themselves.
So, I confess I do fret a little about the fringe kooks.

speculation based upon the above: mark doesn’t think much of Glenn’s “pedigree” and feels duty-bound to take him to task until such time as Glenn straightens up and flies right in his eyes — and/or the cows come home, whichever is less likely

Mark Levin doesn’t like the fact Glenn Beck divorced himself from the Republicans.
Sean, Mark, and Rush don’t like third party talk, and people think Glenn is talking third party. But I think they are all on the same page. Glenn hasn’t really talked third party, rather he wants conservatives to take back the Democrat party, and conservatives to take back the Republican party….as he said its the corruption in both parties that is causing problems.
