Video: Tea partiers chant “Glenn Beck” during CNN live shot

posted at 3:37 pm on September 12, 2009 by Allahpundit

Revenge for the now legendary Susan Roesgen incident via TV Newser. Watch to the end or else you’ll miss the crowd reaction when she asks about Joe Wilson.

Update: To the great surprise of exactly no one, Wilson has now outraised opponent Rob Miller since Wednesday night’s ourburst.

Not sure what phreshone is referring to, but Beck wasn’t as good as expected. He did more talking about bi-partisanship and removing corruption than covering the actual protest.

I watched a bit of CNN today to see if they were covering the protest and they were talking about Joe Wilson in that segment too. Did Joe Wilson do something important today? I don’t see why today’s news is focused on him. Must be no training exercises to misreport as terrorist attacks.

The asininity of CNN sending a “reporter” to the Tea Party and mostly ignoring what’s going on by talking about Joe Wilson, like he’s the story. God. And BTW, that “reporter” should STAY on radio. She’s not good-looking enough to go on TV. Or outside in the daylight either. Ewww.

I think CNN set this up. Before the segment, the studio lady “warned” their audience that this would be a possibility. So if they knew that would be the case ahead of time, why on earth would they schedule the segment to be in front of thousands of protesters to talk, not about the protests, but Joe Wilson? They wanted this reaction. But I’m still glad they got it.

I guarantee that more people are probably going to see this clip just here at hotair alone. Did you guys see the latest ratings from drudge this week. We don’t have to sink to leftwingers’ level and attack the reporter’s looks. She was as fair as possible on CNN in covering this part of the demo even though the Wash Bureau reporter wanted to focus it on Rep Joe Wilson, which is fine by me. After all the dems have tried three times this year to call repubs liar, and this is the third time that they have lost the fight/argument and have exposed themselves yet again as pathological liars.
Congrats to all the teapartiers in DC and throughout the nation. If the two million figure stands it will rank as in the top five turnouts in Washington DC protest history. Indeed, the libs can’t sweep this figure under the rug especially because it wasn’t unions and the unemployed (democrap constituencies) which attended, but hard working usually non politically active folks (silent majority) who attended today. Kudos and keep those freedom fires burning.

Joe Wilson should follow Nancy’s invitation, go to the floor, not apologize, just say that Obama lies, and ask Nancy and Reid, et company, to apologize for all the insults they hurled at the town hall attendants, all summer. If they do, then so will he.

The time for conservative civility s/b over. They need to apply the same Saul Alinsky tactics they get.

Weight of Glory on September 12, 2009 at 3:56 PM

They were trying to frame the protest in the context of Joe Wilson’s remarks and hoping the crowd would ignore it and go off on a rant. You see, CNN thinks they get to establish what the issue is and then belittle anyone who doesn’t go along. Well, it backfired on them. The protesters came off as reasonable people with a valid message thereby completely invalidating CNN’s attempt at subversion.

And they are hoping that Joe Wilson has become toxic to Americans. So they prompted the patriots to voice their support of him, thereby further framing them as kooks.

The idiots on the left don’t understand that the spirit of revolution is strong in Americans and the more they try to criticize and demean them, the more the left sound like King George trying to quash the rights of his subjects.

By the way, for anyone who doesn’t know the background: the site this guy linked to is a take off of a Gilbert Gottfried joke about Bob Saget at the Saget roast on the comedy channel. The anonymous site owner thought it would be funny to make a website about Beck using the phrase Gottfried used about Saget in his joke. Liberals are such complete mindless idiots, that some of the more brain dead ones thought they’d discovered a deep, dark secret about Beck, and are now convinced the site is true. Their stupidity, it seems, has no bottom. Because some of these morons don’t understand the Gottfried joke connection, Beck is now suing the site owner for defamation to get the site taken down. He’ll win, of course, as it’s a clear case of defamation with malice. And the liberals? They’ll still be moronically stupid. No court can help them with that.

Great coverage and could see each of the speakers up close and hear what they came so far to say. I became bored with Beck. It seemed that the demonstrators were being used as a backdrop for his segment and the presentation for his ‘vision’ – rather than the assembly of so many with a dozen different reasons of why they were there. Incredibly inspiring and my thanks to each and every one that made the journey.
