Give him time. It’s early yet. Once the streets of D.C. are flooded with people, there will be pictures of it on Drudge. Not on ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, NYT, etc., of course (unless it’s accompanying some snarky story about how turnout was less than predicted/hoped for, or something).

As long as your side does stupid things like hold up an ignorant doooshbag circus clown like Beck as a great voice, you will never ever ever ever ever convince those people on the fence to come to your side come election time. Those are the only people you should be spending energy on. But you’re not. So you will lose.

Yes, poor Beck. He’s so ineffectual. That’s why Van Jones got booted out of the White House this week — because nobody listens to Beck. That’s why ACORN got booted out of its 2010 census job today — because nobody but right-wing nutjobs watch FNC.

Gee, it’s too bad Beck and Fox don’t have any influence. But hey, not everybody can be as important as some dopey liberal tool, posting snarky comments to a conservative blog from his parents basement in some Canadian hinterland.

Davey Boy,

If Beck were an insignificant little speck as you claim, why do you reckon HuffPo spends time every day to write one, two, sometimes 3 pieces about Beck? Why do suppose Van Jones started the boycott in the first place? You don’t devote that much time and energy on someone who has no influence. Why are you and AfroDouche here on thread after thread talking about him?

As Gandhi said, first they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you. Beck is just between the ridicule and fight stage.

You dimwits still dont’t get the big picture. 2008 was a fluke. It was a year where the stock market tanked, people freaked out, there was a hip young black guy running for president against an old geezer. It was the absolute perfect storm for Obama to win. But you morons confused that perfect storm with the idea that the center-right country overnight turned into Sweden. And that just isn’t the case.

Beck is a goof, but the information he puts out is accurate and relevant – unlike most of what the mainstream media puts out there. It’s obvious there is a conspiracy between the Left in this country and the mainstream media that has been tasked with covering for them. It seems like it has gotten worse in my lifetime. But, Beck is right in that the paradigm is changing. More and more people are starting to get the necessary information. And, information is power.

For instance, all of the Leftists on this site denegrate Beck. But if you’re perceptive enough, you’ll notice they can’t dispute the facts that he presents. They can’t dispute the numbers that he put up there. They can’t dispute the amount of tax dollars ACORN received. They can’t dispute these workers actions because they were caught on tape. The only thing they can do is demagogue the person offering the just criticism. Why do they do this? It’s in their playbook. Classic Alinsky. Attack and discredit the person criticizing you. The problem is that more and more people are onto this shameless tactic.

Dave Drywall.

Off topic here, but have you heard that the Human Rights commission there in Canada has found that section 13 of the hate speech law is unconstitutional?

Aren’t you the same fellow that supported their past attempts to limit free speech there in Canada? The same fellow who called for censoring any and all forms of expression from those people whose thoughts you found offensive? The same self-righteous blowhard who called many here at HotAir racists and red necks for criticizing the commission and its brown-shirt tactics? Aren’t you that same, smug, jerk?

Aren’t facts great. When I had it up to my neck with all the Republicans or racist Democrats aren’t bullshit, I found that website National Black Republicans Association. Lot’s of very interesting things there.

The Republican party was started in 1854 as the anti-slavery party.

Did you know that President John F. Kennedy voted against the civil rights bill while Senator along with Albert Gore, Sr., Robert Byrd and Sam Ervin, all Democratic senators.

Did you know that the KKK was formed in 1866 by the Democrats to lynch and terrorize Republicans, black and white. To combat the terrorizim the Republicans passed the Civil Rights act of 1866 and the Reconciliation Act of 1867 that would create a fairer system for blacks in the south.

The 14th Amendment was pushed by Republicans to grant blacks citizenship.

Ok, I’m done. Oh, I’m not a better “man”, just a big mouth old chick.

Hi, Skippy! You’re confused again. Obama is not the hero of the Right. In fact, righteousness and Obama took divergent paths a long time ago. Again, notice that the typical Leftist argument does not attempt to tackle the facts of the case itself. For instance, can this person argue the facts of Acorn receiving so much federal funding? Can they argue Acorn’s connections to voter fraud? Can they defend Acorn’s actions in the videos? No, they can’t. Instead, it’s an attack on the messenger. Classic Alinsky.

Yes, it’s heartening to see proof that he’s the coward we suspected him to be. Those that have allied themselves with him will be in for a rude awakening. This turd of a President actually thinks if he doesn’t look at the march, it didn’t happen. Such infantile behavior is astounding–indicative of a psychological problem. But it absolutely prevents leadership. I wonder if those around him are allowed to even mention the march to him.

Beck is getting results along with blogs, citizen journalists and every day Americans. It must suck to have everything lined up perfectly and not be able to get results. The Democraps need and want ACORN to help get out the fraudulent vote and intimidate the opposition. But now that light is shining on that vat of excrement, the Dems don’t want an investigation for fear of exposing themselves and their involvement with an organization even more corrupt than the Democrap Party itself. However they do want them to lay low; to fade into the background and keep quiet until needed.
Would that we had a justice department that worked for justice instead of politics.

It’s also “the Republican summer of discontent” according to Bill Weir (or whoever writes his script).

They can’t even get the 9/12 Project right…

Dickie Dunn on September 12, 2009 at 8:03 AM

Seriously.
Conservative does not (necessarily) equal Republican.
Do these guys need a venn diagram?

Actually, it’s plain old intellectual laziness.
Can’t be bothered to report it correctly.
Doesn’t fit the template.

Now that’s a compelling argument.
I was a conservative.
With this one compelling post, I’m converted to progressivism.

Good job, Dave.

massrighty on September 12, 2009 at 10:56 AM

I will say that Beck had a point about the building of the freedom towers(or whatever they call it) taking so long. If it took 400 days to build the Empire St. building, why isnt the darn thing built? Everyone blames everyone else…it is an embarrassment.

becki51758 on September 12, 2009 at 9:04 AM

Here is a reply I got from one of my post over on a NY Giants fan site. I asked this question earlier yesterday and eventually, I got some facts from a poster.

I’m involved in the reconstruction, here is my take:

The clean up dragged on in deference to victims and first responders. Not commenting on whether thats good or bad its just a fact.

The initial design discussion dragged on way too long. Much of this preceded my involvement but its clear there were too many chefs, most of whom are now irrelevant. Personally I love the Calatrava design that was chosen. It will be awesome when completed, people will marvel at it 100 years from now. Fortunately, bureaucrats have been unable to piss on his vision and many have tried.

The actual design for the Caltrava transportation Hub dragged on too long but its an incredibly complex project. Multiple stakeholders, four huge office towers all intertwined, huge central chiller plant, the memorial, a performing arts center a huge vehicle security center that also passes through all these facilities with the transportation hub linking everything. they are all interdependent to a large degree below grade.

As for building in the city, crazy as it sounds, its not really the city. They have no oversight, issue no permits. Its a PA site, free form local and state BS. You think its taking long now? Imagine Shelly Silver or the city council holding sway.

Someone mentioned corruption, far from it. Although the original contractor on the Hub project was a total failure, nothing illegal was going on. Tere is tons of oversight on a state and federal level. They just sucked, put the B team on the project, and sucked the PA dry for as long as they could while they missed every key deliverable imaginable. They have been tossed and the project is being rebid in multiple packages.

All the original schedules were politically motivated and unrealistic. I give Paterson credit, he’s a realist. Ward has his shit together and dates will be made. You will see an open Memorial on 9/11/11.

Fuck Silverstein. He got screwed in the beginning but he’s been bleeding the PA for years. Collecting 300K per day with no intention of building towers 2 or 3. Worm has turned on him and parties are back to arbitration. he may no be so fortunate this time. he has five years to be substantially compete or some other legal definition on those two towers or he is losing them. T4 is moving and above ground, T1 is moving.

Its not discussed much but one major problem is the subway. there is 1000 feet of elevated train going right through the center of the site. they should have knocked the 1 line down for five years and they would have saved hundreds of millions of dollars and years off construction. Instead they propped it up on stilts while the excavate and build around it.

Go to the site if you haven’t been there in awhile. Its no longer a hole, that is for sure. Contracts are let, contractors are building and building fast. You’ll see T4 and Freedom Tower reaching high very soon. As mentioned the Memorial will be open to a large degree in two years. that may seem like along time but they are building a city underneath it. One of the most complex and secure cities ever constructed.

I never defended ACORN, genius. Those idiots have always been on my sh1t list. On that topic you and I agree. That’s hard for you to swallow, I know.

Dave Rywall on September 12, 2009 at 11:02 AM

Dave,

You always struck men as one of the smarter and more informed libs. When I read you on this issue it seems I was wrong or you really can’t refute what Beck is saying and doing. Beck is getting results along with blogs, citizen journalists and every day Americans. It must suck to have everything lined up perfectly and not be able to get results. Maybe what your side is trying to do is not at all popular and you and yours have completely misread the last election. Anyways, good luck.

Beck is as much of an idiot as Olberman.

He speaks in half truths. He panders to the unwashed masses. He does not elevate the level of dialogue. He lowers it. He’s more than entitled to his opinion, but man, take it with a truckload of salt and put his claims under scrutiny – too many people assume he’s telling the 100% truth.

Dave, no need to resort to personal insults. I merely wanted to get your take on Acorn’s vile actions. Since you and I are in agreement on this one, let’s push to take away their federal funding. I’m sure Glenn Beck wouldn’t really care what you thought about him personally as long as he knew you supported doing the right thing by extricating our federal government from this corrupt organization.

Sorry Dave;
The Dan Rather thread was closed about a year ago.

Posters here evaluate – check claims – discuss and debate.
We don’t need advice on critical thinking from you.

Yeah, ACORN makes that vein in your forehead pop out so much that you have to comment on them even more than you comment on Beck or whatever other “Bad Person” is in the spotlight at the moment. Right.

and put his claims under scrutiny – too many people assume he’s telling the 100% truth.

Dave Rywall on September 12, 2009 at 11:04 AM

No we don’t. But here’s a good place for you to demonstrate how he lied about Van Jones and ACORN.

becki51758 on September 12, 2009 at 11:22 AM

Gosh, poor Drywall, it sounds like his brain injury was even worse than rumored. I guess having to wait 8 months for Canadian emergency brain surgery was about 71/2 months too long to wait. It’s a shame, but what can you expect from Canadian health care?

labwriter on September 12, 2009 at 10:30 AM

ROFL. Drywall is getting spanked like his own pet monkey in this thread. He’s been reduced to lowbrow bl**ped cursewords, hot denials and the dreaded moral equivalence argument (which means he is embarrassed by his own side to the point where he’d try to pose as a “moderate”).

alliebobbitt on September 12, 2009 at 11:24 AM

I wouldn’t hold your breath waiting for an intelligent, thoughtful response from Drywall. He enjoys the attention too much.

alliebobbitt on September 12, 2009 at 11:26 AM

Hey alliebobbitt,

Was that a young Van Jones getting muled? Great stuff. The symbolism of getting knocked senseless by todays rap and dance culture speaks volumes.

too many people assume he’s telling the 100% truth.
Dave Rywall on September 12, 2009 at 11:04 AM

You referring to CrockObama?

http://hotair.com/archives/2009/09/11/senate-to-close-obamacare-loophole-for-illegal-immigrants-that-media-claims-doesnt-exist/

Fox News ratings grow as the last of the old media die a miserable and painful death. Must be the insurance companies/oil companies/big business/corporate fat cats/military vets boosting their ratings.

Or is it….fair and balanced? We report, you decide.

dthorny on September 12, 2009 at 11:44 AM

Beck is very dangerous to the Left because he’s easy to underestimate (clown, etc) but he packs in a ton of information and is extremely effective. He’s also very entertaining to watch and makes complex things easy to follow. The left is only beginning to understand what a danger Beck is to them.

Dark Eden on September 12, 2009 at 12:19 PM

I would really, really love to get my hands on any emails, memos or circulars distributed by ACORN top brass to their staff over the last few days. One can imagine they’re along the lines of “in light of recent bad publicity, it is of the utmost importance that staff do NOT offer any more advice to tax cheats and child slavery pimps until further notice or at least until we know those racist undercover bastards are in jail (we have friends working on that as we speak). For the time being we are requesting that all employees limit themselves to legal activities.”

Sharke on September 12, 2009 at 12:23 PM

I think Beck is doing yeoman’s service for the country. You can tell by the reaction from the left. If democrats had any integrity at all they would seek to dismantle ACORN. As it stands, I don’t really believe they could win an election without fraud.

jakabok_botch on September 12, 2009 at 12:32 PM

And GrannyDee – if you read this, I’m curious which state you are in. I’m originally from Ohio, where ACORN is and was very active. I have friends at Board of elections in Cuyahoga County who are still trying to sort out voter reg’s from August 2008. Sound familiar?

gopmom on September 12, 2009 at 7:06 AM

Hi, gopmom. Trust me, I know all about the BOE in CC. Goes back long before 2008. I know lots of people down there, too. If you see this, let me know.

I often look at the big picture by referring to one of my favorite Scriptures (Eph 6:12). There is Evil in this world, IMO.

ny59giants on September 12, 2009 at 5:55 AM

Hi, NY59Giants. Football fan, huh? Or former player? Yes, Eph. 6:12. Explains it all.

GrannyDee on September 12, 2009 at 4:58 PM

God that guy’s good! Scary good. I can see why the left wants his ass.

I used to listen to Glenn 10 years ago on the radio in Tampa. He had this unique act where he’d ad-lib through a Paul Harvey like story, but with dramatic background music and outrageous oratory tricks. It sometimes fell flat like all experimental performance art, but it was frequently brilliant!

Glenn may eclip Rush some day.

elfman on September 12, 2009 at 5:16 PM

Did he f””ing sneeze? HAHAHAHAHA
That had to be real.

Oh god, I truly hate this beck. This is a classic case of love the message, but hate the messenger.

But it’s weird though. Remember when Rush’s star rose when Clinton was in office. Now, I guess Beck’s star is rising because of Barry.

But ultimately I do love how beck leaves the left frothing at the mouth. Now that is priceless.
