Please give me a break. You will be hard pressed to see up to 3000 people show up. Remember you guys promised tens of thousands to attend the teabag tea party protest?

Afrolib on September 11, 2009 at 11:17 PM

We had around 8 thousand before we shut down the plaza in downtown Richmond April 15th. Other parties were much bigger.

Just because you don’t know about it doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.

Why do they allow multiple registrations? Can’t that be stopped? It always seems like we’re talking to fakes here.

JiangxiDad on September 11, 2009 at 11:28 PM

Before you try hitting me, Fro, this is from Yahoo! Answers:

“March organizers estimated the crowd size at between 1.5 and 2 million people while the United States Park Police officially estimated the crowd size at 400,000. In the days after the march, Dr. Farouk El-Baz and 10 research associates and graduate students at the Center for Remote Sensing at Boston University released an estimate of 870,000 people with a margin of error of about 25 percent. They arrived at this figure by enlarging aerial photographs taken by the Park Service and counting crowd density. They later revised that figure to 837,000 +/- 20% (669,600 to 1,004,400). This revision was made when the Park Service provided original 35mm negatives; the first count was made with scanned printed photographs.”

An error of 25% is totally unacceptable in any real survey of any kind, especially if you’re doing an assay of medical drugs. But I guess you need to have something to hold on to.

Still, 870,000 is rather short of a million, isn’t it?

Afrolib on September 11, 2009 at 11:17 PM

In Madison, Wisconsin…one of the most liberal cities in the country…the protest drew 5-7 thousand people. That’s an estimate by the Capitol Police. I was there, and that was accurate.

That was ONE Tea Party. There were dozens upon dozens across the country.

Looking forward to the pictures and estimates tomorrow. Your denial will be delicious.

Afrolib on September 11, 2009 at 10:54 PM

If McDonalds served a few bad Egg McMuffins (at a large number of franchises nationwide) that infected people with salmonela, how long do you suppose McDonalds would stay in business? Do you think they would be getting any stimulus money when it’s been know that they have poisoned patrons for years with their “few bad eggs”? Come on AfroSheen; as I said before, your game is weak.

mizflame98 on September 11, 2009 at 11:30 PM

Concerning the ACORN prostitution drive:

A couple of scumbags at ACORN broke the law.

The ACORN press release said the undercover reporters went to “three or four” ACORN locations to see if they’d help start up a brothel staffed with child prostitutes. So far we’ve seen two instances on tape. That’s 50% of the locations visited.

ACORN has no interest in helping poor minorities. ACORN is one of the many reasons poor minorities remain poor. Minority supporters of organizations like ACORN are no different than the African tribal leaders that sold their own brethren to Europeans for the slave trade.

He/she is presented with irrefutable proof of absolute depravity by liberals/progressives/collectivists – but maybe just needs that final push to break free. Even lib has a gut response to child sex slavery and realizes it’s wrong. Maybe that’ll be what helps him/her wake up.

Could be he/she really wants to change. Like somebody stuck in the “political” closet who’s fighting way too hard because of the social stigma (in this case from leftists). Just open the door and step out – you know what you are inside. You don’t approve of child sex slavery, lib – neither do we. Your friends at ACORN do.

It is also true that Levin and Savage, who loathe eachother, hate Beck as well. Beck stated that he once had dinner with Savage and he was very nice. Now, he calls him the “hemorrhroid with eyes.” Levin basically accuses Beck of stealing all of his material.

JiangxiDad on September 11, 2009 at 11:42 PM

This is playing out exactly as I predicted on election night.

The Conservative new media has grown much more powerful over the past ten years. But this power was obscured when they were forced to play defense during the Bush years, while the still much more powerful MSM was able to go on offense.

This media war is like the game of basketball, where the offensive player always has the advantage over the defensive player, because it’s so hard to anticipate what the guy with the ball is going to do. Even a great defensive player like Michael Jordan could get burned by a second stringer.

During the Bush years, lefties screamed over the existence of a network that dared to give a fair shake to the worst.president.ever. If Obama was an honest lefty, like Paul Wellstone, Fox would just be covering the pitfalls of his left wing policies. But Obama is as corrupt and arrogant as they come.

If the economy doesn’t improve, and the American people completely lose faith in him, I wouldn’t be surprised if Beck’s audience doubles or triples. When a president’s approval ratings plummet, people expect to see the media put the heat on them. If they don’t see that on the big three, they’ll turn the channel until they find someone telling it like it is and giving detailed information about why people aren’t happy, as well as doing exposes on things that should make them even more unhappy, like this ACORN story.

The lefties better buy throat lozenges in bulk from Costco. They’ll be hoarse for the next four years. Obama picked the wrong era to try to bring this country down.

Afrolib on September 11, 2009 at 11:32 PM

Kenneth Gladney was black and at a tea party protest. He was beaten by a group of “liberal” SEIU goons who called him “n*gger”.

The fellow with the AR in Arizona was black, though MSNBC edited it to the point you couldn’t see he was black – because it didn’t fit with their leftist narrative.

The only reason any black person doesn’t feel comfortable is because they’re told by the left they shouldn’t. They’re ostracized by race-agitators as being Uncle Toms and Aunt Jemimas if they disagree with the race-identity politics.

Look at how Thomas Sowell, Clarence Thomas, Bill Cosby, and Condi Rice are treated. Remember the racist cartoons drawn up by the left about Condi? Remember the slander pushed by Anita Hill – by Janet Napolitano – against Clarence Thomas?

It’s the way that race-agitators keep you in line. It’s like when Edward Norton tries to leave the skinheads in American History X – he gets called a race-tratior. Same thing.

I’d feel uncomfortable about the SEIU racist leftist/liberal/democrat/progressive/collectivist union thugs, too. I’d also feel bad about govt. health care coming from Obama, since his wife was dumping POOR BLACK patients at the University of Chicago Medical center. You might want to get out and join the Tea Parties, rather than bash them. Science Czar John Holdren has already advocated things that make the Tuskegee Experiment seem tame – so you may want to start looking out for yourself rather than towing a party line that sees you as idiots who will vote for anyone who lies to you “charmingly”.

i dont think hannity sees glenn as a ‘threat’ though if thats what you mean. its a different target.

blankminde on September 11, 2009 at 11:35 PM

There were no black/brown people at the tea parties!!!!

Except for the ones that were at the tea parties… and they don’t count.

It is also true that Levin and Savage, who loathe eachother, hate Beck as well. Beck stated that he once had dinner with Savage and he was very nice. Now, he calls him the “hemorrhroid with eyes.” Levin basically accuses Beck of stealing all of his material.

V15J on September 11, 2009 at 11:41 PM

Levin’s a good debator but he also can be an enormous jerk. He comes off very spiteful. Savage I don’t give a damn about. He’s like another Coulter, intentionally going over the line in order to get attention, but not in the clever manner that Limbaugh does.

The MSM has demonstrated themselves to be nothing more than an organ of this administration. I suspect that we’ll look back at the exposure of ACORN and Van Jones as watershed events.

I think we’re seeing the birth of a new form of gonzo journalism that puts regular people at the center of investigative journalism. Regular people, motivated by frustration, love of country and shared concerns, working to expose organizations and people who are working against the common interests of mainstream Americans.

I think Fox, talk radio, and blogs are perfectly situated to be the principle outlets for this emerging form of journalism that will help topple the status quo. We’ve already seen how one investigative story had a huge impact, particularly when one considers how the story was so completely ignored by the MSM. One can only hope.

I think our discussion on race in America is one of the rare moments where the left is trying to shape language and we’re acting oblivious towards it. Either that, or conservatives have no concept of how language controls a debate…that would be doubleplusungood.

MadisonConservative on September 11, 2009 at 11:49 PM

I’ve noticed some of the same. Levin really needs to mellow out and realize that there’s more at stake than his ego. He’s got respect and had a number one breakout book that helped a lot of this move along. His “get off the phone, you big dope” comes from having dealt with the same issues too often, and his “so what?” argument, often used, requires one to already be aware of many of his positions and facts he’s put forth. Otherwise it seems dismissive and insufficient – so you need to know he’s already backed that up – which is detrimental to the casual listener.

Savage is kind of a rogue agent. He performs a valuable function by his exaggerated words, but he’s got some issues, too.

I can’t say I’ve ever heard that much bad between Beck, Hannity, or Rush. They all seem to acknowledge they’re on the same side, and none of them really has a colossal ego. Rush’s “talent on loan from God” schtick is just that – folks who listen know it’s a bit of a character he plays. Hannity seems like a really good, honest guy… but he does repeat himself quite often, and sometimes misses callers’ points in favor of his own, but not to the point of detriment. Beck’s self-effacing humor – the fat jokes & apocalpyse schtick are hilarious and mellowing from when he’s really talking about the possible TEOTWAWKI.

Okay, gonna go use my ears now.

It was the quid pro quo for that reporters release from NK that Bill Clinton arranged. Also, that criminal in New Mexico, Richardson, already met with N.Korean reps. This was probably all worked out at around the same time as obama was agreeing to the release of the libyan terrorists, the supporting of Ahmadinejad and Zelaya, etc.
