TEMS Special: Live commentary on Obama speech
posted at 7:00 pm on September 9, 2009 by Ed Morrissey
Join us tonight as we broadcast live commentary on the Barack Obama speech to the joint session of Congress, starting at 7:50 ET. Jazz Shaw, Rick Moran, and I will provide serious commentary or MST3K riffs, depending on what we hear, and have the chat room fully engaged. We’ll stick around for a round-up after the Republican rebuttal, too. Don’t miss a minute of the event!
Now you can join the conversation in the chat room! Be sure to register at Ustream to participate in our raucous live-chat sessions. (And if the log-in prompt doesn’t come up in the chat box below, use this link instead.) Jazz Shaw of The Moderate Voice and The Monster moderate the chat, and they have Troll Gun Trivia Contest running before the show, for those who get there early — and are registered!

If you’re wondering how he eats and breathes
and other science facts (la la la),
Then repeat to yourself, “It’s just a show,
I should really just relax
For Mystery Science Theater 3000!”

Is it possible to get another post without the chat – it slows down the refresh time.

I’m a little worried. Obama gives good speeches speech under pressure.

If this is SOS different days and he did this just to have an adoring audience, the Networks are going to be p.o.’d.

Was that the speech in which he exposed himself as a racist for all to see, with “typical white woman” comment?
smellthecoffee on September 9, 2009 at 8:27 PM
Yep. But it also stopped his free-fall in the polls.

From what I can tell most of his speeches don’t look too good after he gives them when only the written word is available. In other words it isn’t the content of his speeches, it’s the delivery that looks so good. Very similar to a slick used car salesman and a lemon of a car. The American people have heard this crap so much that they are immune to it.
