Obama’s advice to students: Be careful about saying nutty things online

posted at 5:15 pm on September 8, 2009 by Allahpundit

Sage words, my friends. Left unmentioned: If you ignore his advice and crank up the crazy, you can always get a job as a czar in the Obama White House. They won’t even Google you.

Or will they?

According to several White House sources, Jones was hired for his “green jobs czar” positions over concerns raised by the White House Counsel’s Office, after Jones’s background materials came back with several of what were termed “inconsistencies” in the Standard Form 86 Questionnaire for National Security Positions.

The counsel’s office places part of the blame on the Office for Intergovernmental Affairs and Public Engagement, which is overseen by Obama Senior Advisor and Assistant to the President Valerie Jarrett. Jones’s “czar” job was created by the OIAPE, and Jarrett interviewed Jones for the position. In speeches before far-left groups over the past five months, Jarrett touted Jones’s hiring, in part, because the groups, many of which count 9/11 truthers and radical environmentalists and anti-capitalists as members, were familiar with Jones’s brand of anti-Americanism and economic radicalism…

Jarrett did view Jones as a critical member of the administration for her outreach efforts, in part, because he was so well known and respected in the radical-left world the administration is counting on to help with issues like health care and cap and tax, and, more importantly, campaign efforts in 2010.

The key word there is, of course, “because.” Jones wasn’t hired in spite of his background; he was hired because of it, because he could be counted on to rally the sort of soft-headed fringe-left morons who get off on the idea of a White House advisor with a fringe-left past. Team Barry might not have known specifically about the Truther stuff, but if so, that’s only because they went out of their way not to find out.

Skip ahead to 1:40 for the key exchange. One other point left unmentioned by The One: If you do screw up badly and embrace a cause that’s utterly obnoxious, you can count on the left to try to mainstream it to save your ass. Exit fun fact: At this same Q&A, Obama evidently told students that he regrets not having studied more math as a kid. I think we all regret it, champ.

Trutherism is minor in the Jones/Obama saga.

Anarchism, communism, looting/destruction of capitalism “green jobs”, his associations are major.

Don’t be fooled by the lefties, the media, which for the most part is a superfluous repeat, and also not by some righties, who use the 9/11 truther meme, ignoring the rest. Such they all give a brake to Obama. He never disassociated himself from Jones – he believes exactly like Jones. Only reason he hired him and gave him control over 60 billion dollars. Where the heck is the Senate, from the left, to the right?

I raised my kids telling them not do or say anything they weren’t willing to see on the front page of the newspaper. I think it applies to the internet also. Although I must say that I have appreciated the love of the Obama crowd to see and hear themselves and I hope it reaps future rewards. And how big of a math genius do you need to be not to spend more then you make? I guess the rules don’t apply when you can print funny money.

That’s why leftists always call themselves “progressive.” Because the average American would recoil in horror if they espoused themselves as what they really are.

ObamaCare: It’s gonna cost what it’s gonna cost. Let’s get all pumped up!

I can EASILY spot a liberal by just one or two attributes. I believe that two of the MOST prevalent attributes among liberals are:
1) their unwavering anger and perpetual outrage about the simple fact that life is unfair, and
2) their inability to comprehend simple arithmetic.

My collie says:

Not only are liberals incapable of balancing their checkbooks, but as we have already seen, their glaring arithmetic deficiencies become PARTICULARLY apparent whenever April 15th arrives (every single year).

While I get the joke, I’ll point out that if you learn anything about Russia from actual Russians (or Ukranians, East Germans, Poles, etc.), they have no love for communism. While having a flat from the state may be nice (even if your whole family has to live there), when your professors can recall the names of people who were taken in the night by the NKVD/KGB/Secret Police, any pro-communist sympathies don’t last long.

That is, unless you’re a tyrant in waiting who enjoys the idea, or your instructors are the kind of fools who wear Che T-shirts (none of whom are Cuban refugees.)

But we all already know that his history is full of Lenin’s useful idiots like terrorist Ayers, radical Wright, radical Jones, genocidal maniac Holdren, dictator anti-humanist Sunstein, etc.

J.J. Sefton on September 8, 2009 at 5:29 PM

That’s pure gold there J.J.

All one has to do is read a pretty common book like Upton Sinclair’s The Jungle (towards the end) and see what these “progressives” really believe in. On the surface it sounds good, but nothing good of Communism has come about anywhere I’ve seen. Even if the theory of Socialism is worthy from a purely philosophical standpoint, it has two problems;

it ignores the imperfections of Man and seeks to address those imperfections with the whip wielded by self-proclaimed enlightened individuals who believe they are entitled to more comforts because of their fatherly/motherly guidance of the dull masses.

and Socialism can’t be forced onto a Capitalist or a Feudalistic society. History has shown that time and time again though they choose to ignore that. Feudal societies are too primitive and lack the industry and technology to support Socialism; Capitalism wins hands down in a head to head competition because Socialism can (at best) meet the needs of the individual, while Capitalism can fulfill the needs and the wants of the individual.
