Joe, don’t waste your time. He’d as soon bust up people like you as to look at you. Property? Now that is an old term he’ll do away with. It is all about the greater good of the community, as he sees fit, of course.

I wonder what the original program was about…

Loved it right up to the last sentence, but what is with the “It has for over 400 years” line at the end? Did the country start in 1565? Did the writer blow it or did Jack blow the line? Say it ain’t so Joe.

I think he was referring to Columbus and 1492. Close enough.
RadClown on September 6, 2009 at 11:44 AM
Maybe. 200 years would have been safer, though.

The speech is so timeless Jack Webb is making sure it can be used until the 22nd Century.

It is good to be the producer. And the director. And the star. And to own the production company. And to own the program.
Who needs to be the king?

How about “Hawaii Five-O?”
I’d like to see McGarrett read aloud the resume of each Obama associate…ending each reading with “Book ‘em, Danno!”

Ahh, those were the days my friend, those were the days.

Joe Friday always struck me as the precursor to the DARE program. Both useless at accomplishing their goal yet similar techniques.

This schooling is just too damn nice.
