Audio: Multitalented Truther/communist/Obama czar also a record producer

posted at 12:58 pm on September 5, 2009 by Allahpundit

Via Verum Serum, a golden oldie from the vault of Freedom Fighter Music, for which Jones’s Ella Baker Center for Human Rights was a “sponsoring non-profit.” The man himself has a cameo around 3:45 calling for a Palestinian right of return, which, once this gets picked up in Israel, should drop The One’s approval rating there to … actually, it can’t get any lower than it is now, can it? Either way, it’s got a great beat and you can dance call for the end of Zionism to it.

Below that, via Breitbart, more leftist faux profundity about “soulful activism” that would warrant an extra-smirky segment on Rachel Maddow if it came from someone like Newt Gingrich but is treated with utmost seriousness as uttered by our hero. Even Bob Beckel and the Daily News are calling on Obama to pull the trap door on this tool already, but the more I see of him, the less inclined I am to agree. He’s a bottomless well of fringe-left idiocy, a year’s worth of easy bloggy content at least and a GOP campaign commercial in the making. Stay strong, Barry! Better yet, give him a cabinet position. We might just take back the Senate after all. Content warning.

If Obama can wait out the protests, hang tough and not cave in, then he has a chance to push the rest of his agenda through congress.

If he lets public outcry weaken his administration, and if he loses his health care push, he’s a 3 year lame duck.

The first time Obama backs down, he’s lost it all. His entire political career is built on audacity. Once his bluff is called, its over.

The man started out hating America – either for legitimate reasons or illegimate – and found Marxism as the answer to his anger.

Combine identity politics, environmentalism (hey, those Marxists regimes are really environmentally-friendly nations, right?), and an odd assortment of pseudo-sociology and psychology with the Marxist claptrap.

Voila: a position in an Administration.

Hey, it worked.

I’m surprised Janeane Garofalo isn’t hanging around this guy.

This is not the Van Jones Obama thought he knew! Before the engine has even cooled down on the bus, Obama will be issuing a Rev. Wright type statement. It’s not enough that we have an extreme left ideologue as POTUS, but now we have to add fringe-kook to that description, which is probably redundant.

Sweet. Maybe we can phase out the other easy blogging content, i.e. shots at conservatives.

The best easy content, though, would seem to me to be if Beck et al can continue to show this ideology throughout the administration and tying it to his advisers and Obama himself. That would make excellent content, as you have shown this week :)

“soulful activism” that would warrant an extra-smirky segment on Rachel Maddow if it came from someone like Newt Gingric

Actually not a bad idea. Republicans should repeat some outrageous quotes made by dems but dont say its a quote. Let the news stations have at it, then pull out who actually said it. “oh by the way i was just quoting Nancy pelosi”. Then get the audio or video of her saying it.
I can dream right?

Stronger Than Bombs – (Real Media video file, 5 mins) – ‘Emergency Action Against Racism and War’ rally, (Sep 12, 2001)

Jones appears towards the end, from 4:38 onwards.

“It’s the bombs that the government has been dropping around the world that are now blowing up inside the U.S. borders. We’ve got something stronger than bombs, we have solidarity, that dream of revolutionary change is stronger than bombs.”

By the way, credit where it’s due, moonbats are excellent at meticulously documenting their own idiocy. Indybay is veritable treasure-trove of stupidity. I expected that video link to be broken after 8 years, but no.

From David Horowitz on Van Jones:
The Upside of Zero Coverage
(on Van Jones in the networks & papers)

But this is precisely the upside of the self-censorship. It stokes the arrogance that is second nature to so-called liberals. It’s what makes them dismiss a people’s protest over health care as mob action. It’s what makes them think they can get away with appointing a communist America-hater to a White House post. The longer Van Jones is in place the worse it is for them. The more the sleeping giant is likely to wake up. If they get rid of Jones they can pretend that that Administration is not filled with the radicals like Jarette who knew about Jones’ communist agendas and supported him. If they don’t get rid of him this weekend, he will continue to bleed all over their pitch for a socialist health care system. And the silence of the MSM media about Jones is the key to dragging out the scandal and making it a teaching lesson for Americans who are still under Obama’s spell.

Everytime I see something like this, I remember the day my old high school invited me back to participate in a “Career Day.” During a discussion on audio engineering, some kid came up to me and, I kid you not, introduced himself as a producer.

I had to bite my tongue not to say, “Producer of what? Pimples?”

The best part of this whole saga – not just Van the Man but the Obama debacle in general – is that it’s causing Americans to rediscover themselves. For years they’ve been led by the media through a foggy maze of squishy, non-concrete mush disguised as “compassionate pragmatism” which has left them unable to recall what it is they used to stand for.

It’s all coming back to them now. Even the ones who still can’t remember what it is they like sure as hell know now what they don’t like…..THIS.

The Obama administration has been a Godsend for America. It’s been the equivalent of showing footage of horrific car crashes to drink drivers. Let’s keep the video running a little longer. Team Obama must be allowed to crash and burn in full view of everyone.

Ironic, isn’t it? These nutjobs have been wanting a revolution all their lives and now they’re going to get one — just not the one they’ve been dreaming about.

As to Mumia/Cook, he’s a former Black Panther, “activist” thug who shot a cop to death. He claims that the multiple eyewitnesses who saw a shooter matching his description at the crime scene, and the two witnesses who heard him confess to the shooting at the hospital, are all lying, mistaken, or crazy. He claims a mysterious “running man” did the killing. But he’s never explained how it came to be that it was his (Mumia/Cook’s) gun (found at the scene) that the “running man” used to shoot the cop to death, or why he (Mumia/Cook) was wearing an empty shoulder holster for his gun when he arrived at the hospital. Mumia/Cook claims he was framed for the murder, but he’s never quite been able to explain away the gun evidence.

He IS a loon with BDS and involved with all of those clowns the subsequent verifiable revelations are more than enough to justify booting him.

My explanation here.

Ironically the administration doesn’t dare use that defense since the evidence DOES link him with a bunk of Ultra far left loons that I suspect a lot of White House people would also have a link to. In defending him of trutherism it invites the vetting that the media refused to do and that vetting would bring down the lot.

Van jones = not a truther even though he signed a document saying he was
Beck = a truther because somembody showed up at an event with a sign.
He also has a blog post that says he is unfairly attacked and then another article unfairly attacking Pawlenty(pawlenty is apparently to radical of a right winger for him)
I’ m sure we will be seeing tons of snarky witty threads by Allah/Ed slamming this dingleberry hypocrite charles Johnson.

kangjie on September 5, 2009 at 2:21 PM

The focus should be on Obama, not on Jones. Jones was hand-picked by the big-O, without any help from his party or Congress. It’s yet another clear indication that Obama’s relationship with William Ayers and other radicals was not an anomaly or a triviality, as the press managed to convince the electorate. Obama doesn’t just tolerate revolutionary leftists, he admires them and aspires to become one. (But one with better taste in clothes.)

Socratease on September 5, 2009 at 2:28 PM

petertheslow – he’s a truther-of-convenience, embracing the truther line was just part of Far-Left Orthodoxy five years ago.

JEM on September 5, 2009 at 2:29 PM

Socratease – it would be nice if Jones proved to be the Czar Too Far.

It would be nice if the public began to recognize that he’s just the first of a substantial list of Obama advisers whose vile views in fact represent the core of so much of what this administration is truly about.

Maybe that’s too much to hope.

JEM on September 5, 2009 at 2:35 PM

Jones should be toast by now…but he’s not. Holdren should have been drummed out on a rail after his “America is a nation of cowards”..but he wasn’t..second chance was when he dropped the slam dunk case against the Panthers and opens one on the CIA..he’s still there. Nobody seems to find these things outrageous. It’s amazing. Jones..in his own f’in words claims he’s a Communist..in his own words calls for a socialist revolution..he hates whites so much that he even dumps on the white environmentalists! and thats o.k. with them. Talk about the power of white guilt!..and the media just handwaves it away and at the most, furrows their brows over Jones saying “asshole”.
That this can actually be, is just absolutely amazing to me.

A case of mass Stockholm syndrome or simple stunned disbelief caused by the audacious assault on so many fronts at once?

SilverStar830 on September 5, 2009 at 2:37 PM

Ive called and emailed CBS, ABC, NBC, CNN news outlets and demanded they stop ignoring the Van Jones story and start covering it COMPLETELY. CBS aired a short thing on Jones last night but of course they didnt air ANY damaging quotes. It was so pathetically obvious that how they did a biased report on it leaving out all real juicy facts.

I dont twitter but i opened an account solely to tweet to the evening news people like Couric and Cooper and give them a short earful on their biased bs.

I repeat, what the MSM is doing in ignoring all this is treasonous. They have an obligation to be a watch dog to the American public. Not informing them of radicals in the WH is treason. How can it not be? They are walking hand in hand with this administration. Its a scary time to be an American right now because of all the goings on and the corrupt media.

I don’t believe that. When I signed my latest mortgage agreement, I was flipping through the pages and pages of clauses and fine print, and I asked the agent if anyone ever actually reads all of it. “Lawyers do. Always.” she answered.

I think what Pete is saying is that VJ is a truther out of convenience. Whitey spreads aids and BTW, they blow up towers so they can declare war on “us.”

Upstater85 on September 5, 2009 at 2:41 PM

I’ve been doing a little digging and took a closer look at things. I’m Afraid I have to agree with Charles Johnson that baring further evidence he is not a truther.

petertheslow on September 5, 2009 at 2:18 PM

Which flavored truther is he not.. the “made it happen” truthers or the “let it happen” truthers?

They are both truthers.

Itchee Dryback on September 5, 2009 at 2:41 PM

I agree not being a truther is a pretty low threshold for government service.

What has come out about him I think is actually standard fare among I suspect a lot of Obama people.

That’s why I’m going to enjoy watching this administration squirm over this. Any attempt to disprove Jones as a truther will simply bring up more provable stuff that would disqualify him and a lot of others in the Obama crowd.

Van Jones Trutherism, like Van Jones Communism and Van Jones Eco-Racism Theory, is a kind of decadence: If you really believed 9/11 was an inside job, you’d be in fear of your life. Instead, for a cutting-edge poseur like Jones, it’s a marketing niche, one that gives you a certain cachet with the right kind of people – like, apparently, Barack Obama. -Steyn

Forget Charles’s spin-a-matic; that’s the take-home. The petition gave cachet for people who followed his career with interest.

This dude ain’t going anywhere. That would mean that Glenn Beck and Fox News wins and I just don’t see it happening.

I predict a foreign tour away from the cameras with mouth tightly shut, and vacations with the family in undisclosed locations…soft solitary confinement.

Saltysam on September 5, 2009 at 2:49 PM

This “CBS,MSNBC,NBC” that you speak of – who are they? Are they relevant? Do others know of them? /snark

Can’t you just see Hussein Osama calling Jones into his office, (a la Denzel Washington in American Gangster), sitting him down… “My man”. Then Denzel pummels his stupid skull into the conference table asking him with each tooth that pops out of his head: “Why you gotta be so stupid?”.

Van the Man is all about the change. As with Wright, Van the Man provides an unvarnished look behind the mask.

Apparently Van wants to avoid being mistaken for a sellout, and chooses his friends carefully. The more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist professors and structural feminists….

Ecological crises on a scale of World War II.

War socialism with a slightly different approach. Fascism sure is creepy, especially when it sings “it’s a small world after all” in a big hand held circle.

Saltysam on September 5, 2009 at 2:51 PM

Obama, you are the company you keep. If he is not gone by Monday, he must have some pretty heavy sh*t on Obama, no!

I think it’s more of a “Bush is using it for world neocon control nonsense” thing with him. His direct public statements are enough that would draw support from truthers and he has associated with them on other projects. A truther might rationally conclude he was one of them.

My first impression is he was, and one could come to that conclusion from his associations, it would be a rational assumption.

I just don’t think it’s provable without referring to sites such as Rense and 9/11 truth who have been known to exaggerate their support. Believe me I looked for other evidence, I was sure I would find it, I didn’t.

I think being a truther is nasty, and I’m not willing to call him something that vile unless I’m positive he is.

If further evidence comes up that I missed I’m certainly willing to change my mind again , but for now that’s where I have to stand. Van Jones, Vile troop opposing, Racist, BDS bastard, yes. Truther No.

petertheslow on September 5, 2009 at 2:54 PM

There’s various levels of ‘Truther’ though isn’t there:

a) Bush admin planned and executed the entire attack.
b) It was Islamic terrorists, but Bush admin allowed it to happen.
c) Missiles were involved/no plane hit the Pentagon.

etc.

A ‘Truther’ can subscribe to one or all three of the above.

mudskipper on September 5, 2009 at 2:54 PM

I repeat, what the MSM is doing in ignoring all this is treasonous. They have an obligation to be a watch dog to the American public.

bucsox79 on September 5, 2009 at 2:37 PM

I agree, and if America survives this all out attack, they are done, along with anything past middle of the road liberalism and lefty democrats.

I just don’t see how the whinging victim mentality that is behind most all liberal and leftie causes, will have any validity once people comprehend the degree of destructive deception that was attempted by them.
