Audio: Multitalented Truther/communist/Obama czar also a record producer

posted at 12:58 pm on September 5, 2009 by Allahpundit

Via Verum Serum, a golden oldie from the vault of Freedom Fighter Music, for which Jones’s Ella Baker Center for Human Rights was a “sponsoring non-profit.” The man himself has a cameo around 3:45 calling for a Palestinian right of return, which, once this gets picked up in Israel, should drop The One’s approval rating there to … actually, it can’t get any lower than it is now, can it? Either way, it’s got a great beat and you can dance call for the end of Zionism to it.

Below that, via Breitbart, more leftist faux profundity about “soulful activism” that would warrant an extra-smirky segment on Rachel Maddow if it came from someone like Newt Gingrich but is treated with utmost seriousness as uttered by our hero. Even Bob Beckel and the Daily News are calling on Obama to pull the trap door on this tool already, but the more I see of him, the less inclined I am to agree. He’s a bottomless well of fringe-left idiocy, a year’s worth of easy bloggy content at least and a GOP campaign commercial in the making. Stay strong, Barry! Better yet, give him a cabinet position. We might just take back the Senate after all. Content warning.

I’ m sure we will be seeing tons of snarky witty threads by Allah/Ed slamming this dingleberry hypocrite charles Johnson.

Nah, they don’t blog fight here. Which is kind of nice, allows the site to be a sort of above the fray. The real enemy here is populism. ;)

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Extraordinary claim: Even though Van Jones is a communist, revolutionary, extreme leftist, radical anti-Bush, anti-police, anti-prisons, anti-war, anti-Israel, life-long protester, someone else put his name on that truther petition.

Extraordinary evidence for this claim: None.

pearson on September 5, 2009 at 2:56 PM

If further evidence comes up that I missed

Sounds like you missed the signature.

Spirit of 1776 on September 5, 2009 at 2:57 PM

The focus should be on Obama, not on Jones. Jones was hand-picked by the big-O, without any help from his party or Congress. It’s yet another clear indication that Obama’s relationship with William Ayers and other radicals was not an anomaly or a triviality, as the press managed to convince the electorate. Obama doesn’t just tolerate revolutionary leftists, he admires them and aspires to become one. (But one with better taste in clothes.)

Socratease on September 5, 2009 at 2:28 PM

If Jones stays in the WH, it is time to more clearly connect Jones views to Obama’s policies. For example, Jones will help more people understand Obama’s fascination with green jobs and his stance toward Israel.

pearson on September 5, 2009 at 3:01 PM

Since Van Jones said he “didn’t review the petition before he signed it.” Well, that kind of clinches the argument right there. He signed it, by his own words.

Spirit of 1776 on September 5, 2009 at 3:08 PM

I don’t know if this has gotten around much yet, it was offered in comments at Washington Times this morning. An account of the Van Jones-led disruption of a police / local youth dialogue event in Oakland in 1999.

“Timing Of Protest Is Suspect”
Mumia supporters disrupt youth event

“We knew there was another event going on, but the timing of the court decision is what dictated when the protest was held,” said Van Jones, a San Francisco civil rights lawyer who helped coordinate the protest march.

Jones said about 15 protesters occupied the rotunda at the Federal Building on Clay Street in an act of civil disobedience with the hope they would be arrested…

Police Chief Richard Word also believes the demonstrators’ intention was to steal the thunder from what was supposed to be a positive community event.

“They chose the timing and location because the media was there for Code 33,” said Sgt. Dave Walsh, Word’s chief of staff. ["Code 33 is copspeak for clearing radio transmissions, or in other words, listening closely."]

“It was unfair to the kids who worked so hard on this event,” he added.

The protest was three days after the Supreme Court rejected claims that the cop killer hadn’t received a fair trial. Yet the “timing of the decision” dictated when the protest was held, and forced the Van Jones Mumia loons to disrupt this youth outreach event with the police, just for the publicity stunt.

That last segment, “A Movement of Movements”, is a great description of the current Tea Party and town hall meetings:

Narrator: “It’s self-organizing, it’s self-evolving. It’s not based on ideology. It comes from the heart.”

Jones: “If the peril weren’t real, if the actual threat of complete collapse weren’t real, it wouldn’t call forth in us, this new sensibility, this new maturity, this new wisdom we need as a species.”

Hey: can anybody take the narration from that last part and dub it over scenes from the Tea Party/Town Hall meetings? That would be great judo!

“We need change on a revolutionary scale.”

That’s actually true. We need an intellectual and moral revolution to overthrow Progressivism in American society, to purge it from the culture and politics. In other words, a revolution to restore America to freedom, of the sort citizens enjoyed prior to 1910, only more so.

JDPerren on September 5, 2009 at 3:34 PM

This collection of America Hating clowns that Obama has surrounded himself with guarantee the loss of the Socialist Majority on Congress and his place in history as a one termer and the worst choice 53% of America ever made.

It may take a decade to undo the harm caused by the most recklessly spending Congress ever and the most foolish administration ever. America will not ever accept an under qualified openly Socialist candidate again. Congress and the Senate need to be cleansed of the trash that has been in office too long and has become openly arrogant.

Failures in Domestic and Foreign Policy have never been so brazenly displayed or incompetently conceived by any other Administration. Obama is all hat and no cattle and still campaigning not governing. I look at his approval ratio in the polls to drop like a rock in another month or so due to the deficit, unemployment and buyers remorse from Independent Voters that put him in office.

I despise every one of the ignorant voters that put him in office. Too much change and no hope in this situation that Obama and Congress only made worse. The only hope is his removal from office and replacement to the incumbents in Congress that spent like kids in the candy store with an open charge account.

I’m sure you’re right.

Ya know how when the first time you saw Obama’s spiritual mentor ranting and raving you knew exactly what the future Liar in Chief was all about? Well, same thing with the Green Czar. From the beginning of his infamy it’s plain as day that he’s a Revolutionary Environmentalist of Convenience. Likewise He’s a Stinking Commie of Convenience. His Alpha and Omega is Hate-Whitey Racism.

Before he was a commie he was race-rioting in the streets of LA during the Rodney King troubles. The Environmental Revolutionary facade is just a method of enlisting armies of whites to help unleash some “whupass” on the whities who are f!*kin up.

Then again, I just might be obtuse.

Lovely guest appearance by Van Jones in that video, sporting a Pali keffiyeh — for the solidarity.

And this little ditty by another loon at about 4:10:

But then when we knew what those planes represented, we were kinda also glad that they were planes for the Pentagon, where military strategies which have killed millions of people…to see that place burnin’, there was a satisfaction to it…

Being a truther or not is the least of it for the vile Mr. Jones.

Slowburn on September 5, 2009 at 5:04 PM

It’s important to expose Van Jones for the left-wing, psycho basket case that he is, but he should not be the sole focus of the coverage.

Jones is not a fluke — he didn’t slip in under the radar. Obama and the Obama team vetted this clown; they knew exactly who he was and what he stood for. They should not be allowed to just throw Jones under the bus (as they did with Ayers and Wright) and walk away without any questions. Jones (and the rest) are emblematic of just how far out of the mainstream this Administration really is.

There was no ‘vetting process’ for any of his czars. Zero the anti-hero knew exactly who and what they were before appointing them. The secret service may have red flagged every one of them, but zero has the power to over rule their objections.

So this is what we end up with. Are we going to let these 31 fascists stand until he’s voted out? I hope not.

I was with your thoughts until you got to the despising everyone who voted for Obama part. That seems too harsh. While I am sure that some who voted for him did so knowing what he would do once elected, I am sure that many more voted for him for other reasons. They were fooled, and many of them are beginning to understand that. We need them on our side. It is too bad we are where we are, but let’s embrace those who participated in making the mistake and now want to make amends.

The MSM should be tried for treason and have their licenses revoked for their treatment of Obama from day one. They are doing tremendous damage to this country. If we can weed out most of the Communists in the white house, we need to go after them and finish them off. My God, we have so much thrown at us on a daily basis from this administration it is just mind boggling. Most of us knew what he would do once elected – I am just totally surprised at the speed that he’s done so much damage in so short a time.
