What about kids who drop out of school and go around shooting people on corners? I believe more kids in inner city have been shot up than what a few disturb kids have done. In Memphis we have ex-convicts elected to school boards, are convicted once released and once released from prison again reelected! Most these inner city people elected to school boards don’t care about the kids, they only care about money made on campaign contributions, power and staying in office. They’re taught everything but reading, writing and arithmetic! The Suburbs and rural schools do very well with teaching kids. Only a handful of inner city schools are in good shape. They won’t take the advice given to them from suburban folks, they only want their money!

Oh, somehow Van Jones forgets how in the South Side of Chicago black kids shoot each other multiple times throughout the school year instead of doing it just in one event. This year 24 kids died during the school year – I believe that’s double the amount at Columbine. But if you say it has something to do with them not getting enough love and attention, my bet is that he’d call you a racist. Good riddance to this joker.

I think Van Jones is too important a fellow traveler for Ogabe to dump. He wants those like minds around him as an echo chamber and to help implement his fascist policies without question. They are key footsoldiers in his army of oppression.
Also, Van Jones is useful as a window to Ogabe’s soul (or whatever he has that passes for a soul). Through Van Jones’ words and actions we see his master more clearly.
So I would be OK if he stuck around in some neutered form but not as a power player…if that’s even possible.

Geeze, scratch the surface. If there were ANY programs to address the issue of "young white men in pain or isolated" in school that very same school would be billed as RACIST. Jones needed to take it forward just one more step. He didn't, and this deliberate failure puts a spotlight on his one dimensional character.

"I had a professor who encouraged me to apply to Harvard and Yale [for law school], which was almost unheard of for students coming from the kind of public schools that I was coming from in the rural South. I was accepted to both places, and decided to go to Yale because Yale didn't have any grades and was smaller than Harvard. I figured, once I enroll I'm guaranteed to graduate, so I can just go and be a radical hellraiser student, and they can't do anything about it. Which is pretty much what happened."

Van Jones is another total sham BSer.
He graduated from an Ivy League school, realized he was a total BSer and could not make it in the real lawyer world where there are really smart and talented people, so he went the “community organizer” route to feed his ego.
He drops himself in a poor community, a guy with a Yale education among people who most likely did not have a grade school education. The locals are impressed with the multi-syllable word, smooth talking, law school-educated BSer. Van Jones just cannot get enough of these poor, uneducated people telling him how wonderful he is.

But along the way Van Jones realized his sham to save the poor, blacks criminals was a dead end for his ego and whatever career he had or was going to have.

Then Van Jones saw the light – he saw Al Gore – the Green movement. Eureka! Black activist + Green = Lots of liberals wanting to push a minority into this white-filled Green movement.
Van Jones said to himself that is the future – the black community organizer turns Green!
The guy believes in nothing, but listening to his own trivial BS spewing from his mouth.

It does not matter what the cause; whether it be Save the Whales, Stop the War, Black Revolution or Down with Nuke Power, Van Jones is the smooth-talkin` Black activist to do the job. Van Jones thinks he needs to be a Communist to impress the locals, then he is communist – he even names his son after one. The locals like Black Panthers; well, Van Jones has been a card carrying member from way back! The 911 Truthers are having a rally and drawing a crowd – then Van Jones is a 911 Truther.
The guy is a total sham; a fraud. And he fits in perfectly with the Obama administration.
