Classes may show Presidential Address

President Barack Obama announced that on Sept. 8 he will deliver a national address directly to students on the importance of education. The President will challenge students to work hard, set educational goals and take responsibility for their learning. He will also call for a shared responsibility and commitment on the part of students, parents and educators to ensure that every child receives the best education possible so they can compete in the global economy for good jobs and live rewarding and productive lives as American citizens. It is not required that schools show the address, however, Round Rock ISD is treating this like any other national news event, such as an election or shuttle launch, and allowing individual teachers to determine if their class will view the speech if it aligns to the curriculum and is timely. Any parent who objects to their child viewing the Presidential Address can request that they be excused from the activity by contacting their child’s teacher or campus.

…a convenient political advantage…

Let me clarify a bit. It was an advantage, until it wasn’t. At which point, it, along with anything or anyone else inconvenient, went under the bus. No loyalty, no convictions.

As an aside; What amazes me is that even those under the bus continue to accept it. I guess when you have no standards, there is no way to be offended.

Why only two in a school which draws from a conservative district such as ours? Well, when the teacher took an informal class vote, every kid that raised his hand for McCain was grilled as to why. Did he know that Obama would be the first black president, etc… (the teacher was also, well, you know)… the students were eventually cowered into just picking Obama to escape the public roasting.

My daughter stuck to her guns and just stayed positive about McCain (basically the war hero shtick… which is about all the rest of us had!).

They still haven’t found themselves a Church in DC !
But they took their kids to “Uncle” Jeremiah Wright’s “Church” for years
And the National Day of Prayer was a huge inconvenience

My feeling is that Obama is NOT a Christian or a Muslum or anything else. His Church is the church of Social Justice and Marxism. The “Christian” church he attended was most likely, in my opinion, Michelle’s church. And a convenient political advantage, since Americans by-in-large like their political leaders to have some religious convictions (or at least we did). Obama can very easily, without guilt of conscious, say anything to anybody. His lies are pathological. He has NO formal religious convictions. Sure he can quote scripture, and imitate a preacher. Just as he imitates an intellectual, a home-boy, and an executive. He is an amazing Chameleon.

it should be emphasized that that was a diary entry on the site, not something the administrators cooked up.

If it’s the one I’m thinking of, Obooba’s name is on the page, in the banner.

So far, no one in the administration has disowned it. They get to say it, then say they didn’t say it, all without saying anything.

With the methods this bunch of thieves have used to date, why would anyone trust them with any children?

I want to get a court order that prohibits any contact between my kids and the filthy liar in the White House. Allah is an idiot giving this bastard any benefit of the doubt.

Yes and here is a source to combat their long term goals in that attempt. It’s only one of many…
Unfortunately your children are going to ridiculed …be prepared and prepare them.

If one isnt signed by October, some districts may have to shut down.
