Even if 434 incumbents get defeated, Barney Frank will get re-elected the same way Obamma was elected, some sad white folks will vote for Frank so that their sanctimonious inner voice can say “I am not a homophobe.”

One other item of note: while CBS, NBC, and the Washington Post continue to use samples that have double-digit differences between Republicans and Democrats, Pew puts that number at 6%. Remember that when checking sampling and methodology in future polling.

Which is as good a time as any to note that Turner Classic Movies will be running 4 classic Claude Rains movies back to back tonight (and every other Weds. night this month).

Tonight starts with “Mr. Smith Goes to Washington”, followed by that Bogie movie, then “Mr. Skeffington”, and finally “Notorious!”.

I support a Constitutional amendment to term limits. Get people SERVING their country for a short time and then re-integrate into the private sector. Remove the hyper-benefits and maybe we’ll see a decrease in this crap. Plus, maybe we would have an influx of fresh ideas. I mean, at this point how can our Legislative branch get any worse?
