Video: Glenn Beck screams about Van Jones and Obama

posted at 7:13 pm on September 1, 2009 by Allahpundit

Very frequently, I don’t understand where his manic exasperation’s coming from. But sometimes, I do.

First clip is the money bit from today’s 20-minute long harangue about Jones. The second clip is Jones himself from an appearance in February at Berkeley. There are all kinds of bon mots in the mix if you can spare the time to watch — Republicans are “assholes,” evidently — but if you can’t spare it, skip ahead until there’s about 30 seconds left.

Blowback

And with commies like Jones, Barry, and his other czars, the racial divide grows wider with every passing day.

You just now figuring that out?

Van Jones goes after his advertisers, which gives him more time to go after Van Jones. Whoops.

Van Jones certainly has lots of hand gestures.

d1carter on September 1, 2009 at 7:22 PM

I thought his show today was one of his best, with the exception of the computer animated voices of the czars, which was really cheesy. I, like Glenn, cannot for the life of me understand why the Jones appointment hasn’t blown into a major scandal. Once again, where is the GOP???

noworldcitizen on September 1, 2009 at 7:23 PM

Van Jones is the coolest name evah (I had to say that b/c it is cool)…….too bad it is wasted on a communist bastard nutjob who thinks the EVIL WHITE MAN is poisoning all people “of color” thru pesticides. Freakshow now on display in the OFFAL office

Thank goodness for Glenn Beck. I love the passion and the research. Some people are put off with his antics, but I find it funny and it’s his style.

Glenn might be the only person to single-handily bring down this administration’s many minions. Good work Glenn!

Wow AP – a post on Beck, a post on Palin – now to add the coup de grace – a slam on Christianity and you will have a hat trick! All in a day’s work…i guess

Charlie Johnson has a secret man crush on Van Jones.

Ghostbuster on September 1, 2009 at 7:27 PM

with the exception of the computer animated voices of the czars, which was really cheesy

I also was mildly annoyed by it, but I think I know why Glenn changed the voices–so we would focus more on the words that were spoken. As with Obama, it is easy to get caught up with how something is said, rather than pay attention to the actual words said.

Emily M. on September 1, 2009 at 7:30 PM

Just as upsetting is how Obama’s group of radical organizers are using the National Endowment for the Arts to work with the whitehouse on message delivery. Glen played a taped conference call with NEA members that allegedly included a whitehouse reprentative.

This has gone way past the scary stage. We are in the this has to be STOPPED NOW stage.

HoustonRight on September 1, 2009 at 7:30 PM

The crap about how illegal alien produce pickers are being sprayed with pesticides was so absurd it was almost funny. Apparently this guy has no idea how litigious illegal aliens are. If any of them were being sickened by pesticides, I guarantee you there would be multiple big-money lawsuits being filed against all the agricultural interests involved. The personal-injury plaintiffs’ bars in CA and AZ actively recruit in the illegal alien communities, and there are lots of willing takers for all sorts of injuries, real and imagined.

AZCoyote on September 1, 2009 at 7:30 PM

“How’s that capitalism working for ya this year”

What a jackass this guy is. Like the rest of them he thinks he’s operating on some higher level than the peons that must be herded and guided like sheep.

Republicans are “assholes,”

Yeah. Has a nice ring to it. Apparently everyone in the audience are in agreement by their response.

But, hey. I can come up with a much stronger term for Jones and his admirers.

But I don’t use vulgarities in public.

Dr. Evilll and his little marxist rabble. To think this idiot has the ear of the President, but then again so did Rev Wright for twenty years. But don’t judge Obama by his associations, just judge him on his Obamaness.

eaglewingz08 on September 1, 2009 at 7:33 PM

I gotta hand it to Beck, he’s picked a helluva target.

The idea that Van Jones will ever be responsible for creating even a single “Green Job” is ludicrous. The position he holds is unconstitutional, unsupportable, and flat out absurd.

And Glenn Beck is the only one who’s even bothering to say anything about it at all.

WWS on September 1, 2009 at 7:33 PM

Where are the Republican’s?

There are no intellegent people in the Republican party. They can not argue with Obama because they are not that bright.

Example (from CSPAN interview w/former head of CMS, the medicare guys)…The average Dr. reimbursement rate in 1989 was $54 per hour…currently it is $55 per hour.

What kind of distorted minds want to destroy Doctors?

The Republican’s can’t seem to argue their way out of a paper bag…they tremble in fear of Big Media, Big Labor and the Good Government crowd.

They tremble in fear of Tom Friedman for g_d sake. They are not bright enough….very sad

“How is that capitalism working for ya?”

Well, it was doing just fine until the Marxist/Socialist Social Engineering policies of the Democrats forced banks to loan money to people who couldn’t pay it back, then bought and sold the notes to Wall Street through Fanny and Freddie, spreading the worthless paper all over the world for thirty years until it finally collapsed upon itself, taking the United States and world economies with it…

…Enemies of this country are at the highest levels of government power, and not a peep out of the main stream media.

Seven Percent Solution on September 1, 2009 at 7:37 PM

We will launch a sweeping effort to root out waste, inefficiency, and unnecessary spending in our government, and every American will be able to see how and where we spend taxpayer dollars by going to a new website called recovery.gov — because I firmly believe what Justice Louis Brandeis once said, that sunlight is the best disinfectant, and I know that restoring transparency is not only the surest way to achieve results, but also to earn back the trust in government without which we cannot deliver the changes the American people sent us here to make.

Barack Obama, January 28, 2009

Yes, Barack. Sunlight is the best disinfectant. Enjoy the sunshine. It’s good for you.

It is a big mistake for anyone, on the right, left, or middle, to take Beck lightly. He is a highly intelligent, dedicated patriot. Yes, he is emotional. Yes, at times he screams, or cries, or uses wacky voices, but he is right in what he says, even if he is the only person in the media saying it.

He may be the Paul Revere of out time. I thank God for him and his willingness to investigate and shine the light of truth where most are too cowardly, uninformed, or evil to do so.

Glenn Beck is doing a fantastic job exposing Obama’s hand selected gang of Communist thugs and their future plans for our country.

Beck wasn’t screaming, he was sharing a true tale of horror that we all must face and defeat. I admire him for it.

The NEA stuff was the most creepy, disturbing, upsetting thing I’ve heard in a long time. And that says a lot given I’ve heard the FCC czar say that freedom of speech gets in the way of more helpful communication policies. Honestly, our government has been radicalized. They don’t want the form of socialism that’s found in France, they want the South American form of “revolution”.

Battlecruiser-operational on September 1, 2009 at 7:52 PM

Many people are opening their eyes to this administration for the first time. Sure, Beck mostly is preaching to the choir but you don’t get ratings like that in that timeslot from just your base. He definitely has the pulpit to do some great things for this country.

I’ll admit it, his style doesn’t always appeal to me. Sometimes, even though I’ll agree with what he is saying, I wish he’d focus on some other things that are nearer and dearer to my heart. But those are quibbles. What really matters is substance. Whether he is sending the right message and whether he is delivering it in a way that gets heard and understood. On those counts he is coming through in a big way.

They tried marginalizing him already and what he is doing now is signaling to them that he isn’t one that is going to back down. He’s ratcheting it up another notch, which I wouldn’t have even thought possible. God bless Glenn Beck.
