His ivy league marxist theories are not playing out in the real world as well as he planned.

All of the marxists are always shocked to find out that things have moving parts. They like to reign in static worlds, as the unmoving world of their theories always is. But they make up for it by causing terrible stagnation everywhere they they go. But, still, the parts move and it leaves the standard marxist/staticist perplexed and angry.

I think he tried to take over the wrong country.
Would have been better off trying to fundamentally transform some other country.

katy on September 2, 2009 at 12:29 AM

Well, I certainly wish he had tried one of his home countries, instead of ours … or any other country, but the US is the country that The Precedent wants to bring great pain to … as we are for the arab/persian/muslim terrorists. And he, along with the lunatic Washington junta of useful idiots, might achieve our downfall this time. They have the levers of power and they have turned them against the nation, itself. A political suicide bomb.

It’s really incredible Obama and the dems have destroyed what they created just 8 months ago.
Seriously. I mean I knew the Democrat party had taken stoopid pills for the last 8 years, give or take 15, but THIS summer has blown even me away with their stupidity.

You talk about needing someone who has executive experience? Someone who’s actually been the leader of, well, anything that’s why O’s white house has crashed and burned.

The internet is being used against him now. Things were all unicorns and lollipops back when the internet worked FOR him, but now…tables have turned.
People who hate Palin say she’d be worse then this??
When you have executive experience, these things don’t happen to you.
I don’t know what Palin is going to do, but she has accomplished some impressive things in AK.

Now even Liberals are starting to sour on Obama; if only he knew what to do…
Obama: “I GOT IT! I’ll give another amazingly incredible speech!! That’ll put the stars back in their eyes!”
Kool-aid’s worn off, champ.

sonnyspats1 on September 1, 2009 at 11:40 PM

Repackaging. Or better yet, Re-Gifting.
Just like the repackaging of the Fairness Doctrine as Localism.

This is like Halloween’s Jason, it never dies. It just keeps coming back with a greater hunger for American Tax dollars.

Kini on September 2, 2009 at 1:02 AM

This is childish nonsense. Theres a rational policy discussion to have about health care. They aren’t having it.

ernesto on September 2, 2009 at 12:26 AM

No. You are wrong. Read the bills, the House (HR 3200) and Senate Bill (forget the number). They different then what its supporters are saying now but it is matching what is being said behind closed doors.

The Democrats railed against Republican spending then increase spending drastically. Obama talked about a scalpel approach to Fiscal Policy and he presides over the biggest deficits ever.

The American people know they are being lied to. And they are tired of the Newspeak. They are tired of Politicians saying one thing but doing another.

They are tired of government and political parties whose only goal is to increase their power and further bind people to the politicians and bureaucrats. Tired of politicians using Government to further the interests of the special interests or enriching themselves at our expense.

If you cannot see this you are the one who is irrational. You live in Never Never Land with Skittle pooping Unicorns, Leperchauns that have bottomless pots of Gold and Fairy dust powered cars and other Delusions.

I’ll believe Obama and the Democrats when my stool smells like sherbert.

ugh. ok. what would you call obama’s agenda? “just like clinton, carter, kennedy, truman, etc?”

this is so over the top. single-payer health insurance. cap-and-tax on all sorts of energy issues & products. amnesty for illegals is next up on the agenda. increasing capital gains taxes. increasing ALL income taxes (by failing to renew the bush tax cuts when they expire in 2011). increasing taxes on all those making over 250K, or was it 200K, or was it 120K. proposing a mandatory (though short term, still mandatory) civil service program. proposing a CIA-like group run from the white house. brining the census counting under the white house’s counters. providing billions for liberal pet projects in the stimulus (such as acorn). a SECOND stimulus on the way. heck, cash for clunkers — wtf is it other than taking ALL of our money and giving freaking handouts to ‘car buyers’

i guess we have different definitions of socialism — mine is when the STATE becomes a powerful central bureaucracy that takes a high degree of income and in theory provides a high amount of services, ie safety nets.

whats yours?

The public option being ‘out’ means little to me. Yes, it was the most offensive part, but there are lots of other offensive parts. For instance, taking control of essential elements of the insurance industry. I don’t want them nationalizing one more thing, and the mandates, lack of exclusion for pre-existing conditions, etc. essentially makes the insurance companies govt. pawns. There are lots more big problems with the bill.

I have no faith that there would be no Trojan Horse, and the odds of the ‘camel’s nose’ is high. I don’t want any part of it to pass – they should start over and come up with something sensible and American.

All the while, you march in lockstep with the self-congratulatory herd of independent thinkers–never has anyone so consistently been a part of groupthink as the Left.

It’s really incredible Obama and the dems have destroyed what they created just 8 months ago.
Seriously. I mean I knew the Democrat party had taken stoopid pills for the last 8 years, give or take 15, but THIS summer has blown even me away with their stupidity.

Leigh Scott has a theory about that.

“how can one not see the recent doings in Washington as anything but massive cannabis abuse? Cash for clunkers? Stoner logic. Stimulus package? Stoner logic. Government run health care? Stoner logic. Cap and trade? Stoner logic.”

The broad, whining about wanting a liver transplant cracks me up.

Just because this procedure exists, she thinks she’s entitled to one, on MY dime.

I guess, with that line of reasoning, the taxpayer should subsidize her a new Cadillac, when she only earns enough for a ’75 Chevy Vega.

franksalterego on September 2, 2009 at 7:00 AM

Stop with the “Socialism” nonsense. Fox News has so tainted the mind of Conservatives that they no longer over valid debate.

Decider on September 2, 2009 at 1:01 AM

These people in this video are your “dragons”? Do you realize these people are nuts?

Decider on September 2, 2009 at 12:55 AM

No,, these people are not nuts! I listened and could not find anything they said that wasn’t the truth! Besides,, they have a right to protest a law that will effect them! They have as much right to say the things they’ve said as as anyone else does!
Funny, yesterday I was flipping channels and came across a show in the History channel. It was about the inventor of the electron microscope. He lived in Nazi Germany, but the Nazi’s were not that interested in it. Here’s the thing,,, the announcer mentioned that Hitler intertwined health care with his Nazi social agenda!! German health care and the Nazi message was his main thing until the war took over his time! There it was,, right on the History channel!!!

This ain’t the time for moderation. We are standing at the crossroads in this country. Either we do nothing and let the career politicians steal our freedom (and that’s what they are doing), or we stand up like our founding fathers and demand our God-given liberties. Too many men and women in our history have given their life’s blood for our liberty. I’m not going to stand around and say, “Now be nice” while we become sheep led to the slaughter.
Cindy, I’ve been around here long enough to know you are a good-hearted woman. I know how you try to ease conflict, but there is a time to make a stand and we are in it. I don’t want my grandchildren thinking that it was on my watch that they lost their freedom.

Anyway… Were their people at the protest ‘not getting’ the dressed-up poncy people doing their irony act?

Reminds me of the protestwarrior ‘whoopsie’ at Cindy Sheehan’s ranch protest ..

I am with you. This video is doing exactly what it is suppose to do, inhibit speech. By spotlighting the few they are painting the whole movement. This is intended to scare off those who would be embarrassed to be associated with these people. Note the people on this thread who went into reverse mode, p.d.q. The camera is a powerful weapon and not everyone is good a verbalizing their dissatisfaction. This isn’t even a new tactic, by labeling the Republican party as racists, bigots and homophobes for over twenty years this is just another step.

Decider and simplesimon are the two biggest bomb throwers of our current batch of Trolls. They don’t do any research. They just regurgitate talking points with no proof to back them up. This is designed to hijack a thread and get Conservatives riled up and off message. Golly, the Liberals sure are scared that Conservatives are coming together. Look at the venom unleashed about Conservatives at the Townhall meetings.

Seems to me that’s sorta like how Chamberlin had a civil debate…

Keith_Indy on September 2, 2009 at 8:25 AM

I couldn’t even watch it all the way through…..How did this happen that conservatives became labeled as ignorant, uneducated, narrow minded, whackjobs?

Oh, and as to this:

Stop with the “Socialism” nonsense. Fox News has so tainted the mind of Conservatives that they no longer over valid debate.

Decider on September 2, 2009 at 1:01 AM

I think you might want to educated yourself as to the meaning of socialism before you throw around the ‘nonsense’ descriptive. If you are for socialism, say it. But I’m sick of people scoffing at that term. Don’t feed me a pile of dog sh*t and tell me it’s cotton candy. I can tell the difference.

bicraftuallass on September 2, 2009 at 8:36 AM

I think this can explain the participants apparent ignorance.

omnipotent on September 2, 2009 at 12:49 AM

Actually, that article proves that CA is not an example to follow. And I would bet that most of those folks in the video fall into the 75% of Californians that are literate. The ignorant ones are the Obama supporters. They are wearing blinders, blissfully sipping the Kool Aid.

The difference is so slight that you could use either term. Both ideologies are of the left…

Jarhead68 on September 2, 2009 at 8:49 AM

The Hitler stuff is of course over the top but let’s face it, most people don’t have a frame of reference for the kind of agenda Obama brings to the WH–they see these liberals acting like a bunch of wannabe dictators, pushing a socialist agenda, demonizing them and anyone who dissents and the first bad dictator that naturally comes to mind is Hitler. I think the comparison should be dismissed as often as possible, but it’s understandable why it finds a way into these protests.

Right. Of course my arguments are not as sounds as Conservatives using the argument that you can not get toilet paper in Cuba as a argument against Health Care Reform.

Retorting talk radio arguments is like shooting fish in a barrel.
