Isnt that equally true?

I see on Drudge a link to a story on how Chavez is going to charge people demonstrating in the streets with rebellion, which carries a sentence of 12 to 24 years in prison.

Anyone planning to attend a demonstration on 9/12 be advised.

The US should be on the side of self-determination and the rule of law. Instead, we’ve ended up on the side of power-grabbing future despots and potential ruling cliques of nepotism. How did this happen, and why hasn’t the national media shined its light on Arias’ interests in this dispute? Could it be that it would make Obama look like a bumbling fool on the international stage — or worse?

It could also be that Barry wants to tread the same ground.

However, the most disturbing aspect of Arias’ Obama’s call was his harsh criticism of the media insurance industry, pharmaceutical industry, doctors… Borrowing from the script of Rafael Correa in Ecuador and Hugo Chávez in Venezuela, Arias Obama described news outlets anything not controlled by government as “corporations interested in making a profit” that don’t necessarily pursue the “public good.”

Maybe someone can explain why having a bunch of leftist caudillos would represent progress in Central America.

Interesting, that’s the same exact phrase the White House used when they called Glenn Beck.

As for the “how”, birds of a feather corrupt together.

And the answer to that, for Arias and Zelaya as well as Chavez, Ortega, and the Castros, is to make the presidency less accountable to the other political institutions. We’ve seen how well that works in Cuba , Nicaragua, and Venezuela.

Escape the oppression and exploitation of socialism by staying home and John Galt so the Barry crowd cannot steal the fruit of your labor. Organize to vote them socialists out. Save up now so you can go John Galt as long as it is needed.
