Just a reminder: Obama’s a mindblowing hypocrite when it comes to partisan attacks

No elaboration necessary, except to say (a) The One has always relied on surrogates to do his political dirty work lest his immaculate Hopenchange-y hands seem unclean, and (b) I think this is my very favorite Naked Emperor News clip ever.

Below that, for dessert, a brief meditation on the dangers of a private public option. Or is it public private?

Meanwhile, Toyota is closing the last automobile manufacturing plant on the West Coast, the NUMMI plant that it shared with General Motors. The Michael Vicks in Education Created This Bull

Look at the man’s history.

A painful early life. Given a feeling of entitlement and a warped view of this nation during his education. Constant passes in lieu of achievement. These made a farce of actual accomplishment and reinforced the idea that bureaucratic programs help. By extension, the rewards showed the willingness of the country to lay on its back to atone for its guilt — so the guilt must be condign. And all of the breaks made a guilty plea to Him in a tangible manner.

Then He jumped into the swill of dishonesty in Chicago and found other fawning, guilt ridden America supporters. His allies were the strongest America haters. No matter how bad they were/are better than the white fascists who had run things for 400 years.

He thinks we deserve the lies, theft and manipulation. If our system of government is destroyed, so what? He thinks it never worked anyway.

You expect remorse from a Pit Bull

OT: Nice service for Kennedy. I thought Obama’s eulogy was unmemorable. Indeed, after watching some of the tributes from last night and today, I think the Kennedys blew it by having Obama deliver the “big” eulogy. Obama’s personal anecdotes consisted almost exclusively of anecdoctes experienced by other people. In truth, Obama didn’t know Kennedy nearly so well as many others. Too bad. One more example of Obama losing his speaking mojo.

One other thing. It’s kind of a shame that last night and today, a number of the liberal speakers has to keep bringing up health care. Seriously…having grandchildren stump for national care as a right at their grandfather’s funeral. Spare me.

Perhaps a new beginning for him as less arrogant and less sharp-edged. We can only hope.

Must have been for some other Ted Kennedy, one who was not a murderer, occasional KGB stooge, ranting maniac, abuser of women, drunk or murderer.

This Kennedy sounded like a decent guy. Hell, I would’ve voted for him. If he really existed, that is.

A “changed” Child-President? Not a chance.

I admit I’m looking forward to two speeches from Lord Obama. The first will be his resignation speech, and the other the one he’ll make just before a judge pronounces sentence on him.

“The question, I think, is whether the president is willing to rein in those on his staff or in his control.”

The answer is ‘no’, of course. We’re not worthy to be spared being called all the awful things Obama’s staff and the Left in general call us.

If their labels were true, I could with them. But since they’re not, I have a huge problem. So, when I deal with a lib, I’ll fire back with equal venom. I’m tired of being ‘polite’ to an enemy who hates me just because I hold a different political view.

Yes, it was. I don’t suffer from ODS. This was, BY FAR, the best speech he has given since he was elected. Not a trace of “I,I,I,” no faked religiosity, no sharp-edged partisanship. It was far better than the maudlin, treacly tear-jerker that Bill Clinton would have given, that’s for sure. Was it as good as W would have given? No. But for Obama it was excellent. I’ll stand by that assessment. He was not the star of this show, and for once he knew it and didn’t try to be.

Liam on August 29, 2009 at 2:16 PM

Of course he didn’t. The crass and snarky stuff he’s been saying at the “townhall” rallies are the real Obama. Somebody told him to act like a President for a change and wrote him a good speech, and he delivered it well.

This guy is slippery. He was on the ropes twice during the campaign but changed his tone and approach and pulled through. He does have some skill as a politician. I do not think we should make the mistake of believing he is too dumb or too ideologically rigid to change course now that he has sort of crashed and burned.

I know he’s not dumb enough to misstep. My view, tho, is that he’s totally disingenuous which pisses me off. If I ever have to give another eulogy, I’ll write it myself like I did the first time.

I despise phonies. Obama had enough time to write his own, since he’s on vacation. He couldn’t do that much for a man he revered?

What I do know is that most serial low-lifes are given small, quiet funerals.

It should be enough to express sympathy for EMK that he had to go the way he did, and to deliver condolences to the family. The rest was just politically motivated mythologizing.

In fact, I don’t “hate” the late, not-at-all-great Teddy. I don’t hate Osama Obama. I despise both, and would like to see both pay for their misdeeds in a public way.

Cool. But he man was a Senator for almost 50 years, and an undeniably consequential one who really was liked and respected by a lot of important people. He also had a pretty ruthlessly ambitious wife who was undoubtedly going to make his death a public spectacle.

Folks on the Left have denigrated George W. Bush for years because he was a feckless drunk and a playboy as a young man, a child of privelege, not the man his father was, “born on third base” as Jim Hightower famously said — kinda like Ted Kennedy. No, he didn’t kill anyone, but that may be just his good luck, as we know he was busted in Maine for DUI. We have forgiven him because he got sober and made something of himself, and did a lot of good as Governor and as President.

He’s so buried in his bull that he doesn’t even know what he has said.
So he starts a new lie and the minions follow.

They aren’t paying attention – it’s like they are damn well mesmerized.

Oh for Christ’s sake, put down the Haterade for just a minute, will you? Do you think that if Ted Kennedy had died a year ago, George W. Bush would have mentioned Chappaquiddick or the waitress sandwich in his eulogy?

rockmom on August 29, 2009 at 2:17 PM

Will they ever cut this stuff out?

Is the “I know..about deficits..all that money on the war..his lousy service record..his crude ugly wife…he couldn’t handle questions either..he never vetoed a spending bill..have to kiss feet since world hates us” ad infinitum, ad nauseaum observations and lies about President Bush EVER going to end?

Elated and amused: Nobody ever challenged me about keeping my tinfoil hat in the back of my Bentlet GT.. really a GTC at the time. People don’t mess with birthers, I guess.

Make him Irish?

I thought he already was Irish. Don’t they have a dance step named after him – The Irish Jig?

Oh please

you are obviously just taking his words out of context again.

That’s not what he really meant.
