Quotes of the day

posted at 10:35 pm on August 28, 2009 by Allahpundit

“Can it be that the same United States that honored Col. Paul Tibbets and put his Enola Gay, which dropped the bomb on Hiroshima, on display in its Air and Space Museum is going to prosecute a CIA agent for faking an execution and threatening, but never intending, to kill the children of Khalid Sheik Muhammad?…

In the 1960s, Robert Kennedy and the boys at Justice set up a “Get Hoffa Squad” to take down Teamsters boss Jimmy Hoffa. It was a vendetta that succeeded.

This vendetta will not. For, on the issue of national security, as Barack will painfully discover, he is not more trusted than Dick Cheney or the rough men at the CIA who did the harsh interrogations of terrorists, to keep us sleeping peacefully at night.”

Guys, you’d better read this before giving the glad hands to Mr. Cheney…WHO IS A MEMBER OF THE COUNCIL ON FOREIGN RELATIONS.

I’m sorry but I just can’t work up any empathy for terrorists questioned by the CIA. I personally don’t care what methods were used to get information if American lives were saved. Since I trust Cheney more then the people in office now I believe we stopped more attacks with what we learned.

Our America, the real America of the Constitution, of individual liberty, of reward for hard work, will never die.

You, the parasites, will never be able to defeat we, the producers. The instant that the parasites gain dominion over the producer (and we’re pretty much at that point) the producer stops and your progressive “utopia” collapses because it is sustainable only so long as it has people to leech from.

It if your “ameriKKKa” that is doomed.

Sadly, it seems to me that we are entering an era where we are going to have political prisoners in our jails, convicted by politically motivated kangaroo courts and rigged juries of SEIU/ACORN thugs.

The loathing Obama and many of his administration have for this country is truly sickening. They want to bring us to our knees. I simply don’t understand the mind of a person who places the life of a POS terrorist over the lives of American citizens. Liberals are truly sick.

The whole thing upsets me. After reading what the CIA did I can only say that they should be ashamed of themselves. Where were the drugs? Where was the torture? What part of shoot the bastard after he talks didn’t they understand? No it’s shameful how we treated these people, these enemies of ours, people that want to kill every one of us. Very shameful.

Ever see the movie “Taken”? Now there was some torture that got results and ended properly. I also like the very effective negotiation at the very end. Nothing like these fake CIA people telling the real ones how it should be done.

Nice take but in the real world of communist utopias the producers just keep on producing and the parasites are exterminated. Who exactly do they think Ayers was taking about when he said 20 million will have to die? The producers? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHA…….

They are not called useful idiots for nothing and when the peoples revolution happens they very quickly become useless idiots that the state can not afford to support.

The progressives getting what they deserve in the coming revolution is the only silver lining in the whole thing.

American Leftists are afflicted with what I prefer to call the “Rosenberg Syndrome.” Julius and Ethel Rosenberg were Jewish Russian immigrants who were members of the U.S. Communist Party. Julius held a sensitive position in the Army Signal Corps. He was later turned to spying by the Russian Semyon Markovich Semenov. Julius had a relative who worked on the Manhattan Project who was able to pass critical atomic bomb making information to Rosenberg who passed it to the Soviets.

Why would Rosenberg become a traitor to his country? One theory was that Rosenberg feared the military balance of power shifting to the United States. Like many Leftists and Communists, they were of the belief that the world would be more dangerous if the United States was the only nation possessing the Bomb.

The present Obama Administration, and our President who has been taught from an early age Communist theory from Frank Davis, shares the belief that a weakened United States makes for a safer world. This can be the only explanation for the investigations of the CIA, the “ReSet” policy to the Russians, the apologies to all enemies and the embrace of Hugo Chavez and other Marxists in this hemisphere.

I challenge Spathi and any other pathetic losers on this forum to show me one instance where President Obama has taken any action to make this country safer.

I have thrown down the gauntlet, Spathi. Show me what you got. Can’t wait.

That’s what the elite leaders of the progressive movement thinks will happen, that they will be able to impose Soviet style rule on us.

You are right, once the “useful idiots” become less than useful and a burden on the “Leaders” they will be disposed of. After all, The Obama Regime and the democrat party only NEED to pander to them so long as they still have to deal with elections.

But this will never work. Russia never has had any tradition of liberty, freedom, or democracy. Their first attempt at a Republic came after centuries of absolute rule, lasted literally only months, and was overthrown by another system of absolute rule (Soviet communism).

Resistance to the Soviets within Russia were from the other absolute rule faction, the Czarists, not the Republic that had briefly existed.

Producers in the United States, who come from generations of traditions of hard work, individual liberty, and individual reward WONT go merrily off to work the “collective” farms and factories for the progressive masters in Washington. We will cease to work and we will rebel under arms, in the name of the Republic that the traitors in Washington will have by then overthrown.

In the end, the only people the progressive elites will have on their side ARE the parasites, and good luck making any kind of an army out of them.

Like many on here, I think it comes down to a lack of sympathy for a bunch of cold blooded murderers. While I don’t approve of threatening a man’s family, everything else doesn’t much matter. It may seem callous to some, but these are the same people who, if they caught you, would at least take a limb if not your head. And then they would dance and pray for joy after killing you. These people are evil. It’s about time people understood that.

As for the person who threatened his family, they should be disciplined, if not already, but there is no way that they should be brought up on charges.

tatersalad on August 29, 2009 at 9:13 AM

The major factor in a successful hostile interrogation is the proper use of the fear of the unknown. Without it, that natural fear of the unknown, resistance is easy. There was never ever any intent to follow through on using the drill…something out of “24″ to be sure…nor was there ever any intent to follow through on any threats to the family of any terrorist detainee. That is not how we operate.

But, Obama’s broadcasting to the world (and the bad guys do pay attention to the vapid utterances from the present White House) that we would constrain all of our operators to the dictates of an unclassified Army Field Manual 34-52 certainly gives any bad guy hope…lots of it.

That FM 34-52 effectively takes away that natural fear of the unknown…and not to our advantage…is a major component in neutering any future response to a terrible threat.

I seriously expect a crisis, real or manufactured to be used to “suspend” elections at some point, perhaps if they believe that they are so far down in the polls that even blatant ACORN fraud and SEIU thuggery won’t be able to keep them in power in 2010.

There has to be a reason why he’s supporting Zelaya, after all. Obama hasn’t shown ANY respect for democracy since coming to power, other than to use “I won the election” as an argument when he has no argument.

Soetoro the Storyteller is beginning to run out of stories and out of diversions.

The American people may take his advice and use his lingo on one thing: They’re not going to get all “wee-wee’d up” over a terrorist being threatened with a drill — or anything else, for that matter.

The list of lies told by Soetoro the Storyteller is huge, and he hasn’t even been president for a year … The man’s plan to be in front of the cameras all the time has some detrimental effects: technology records the events to remind us all of what he has said/promised/proclaimed.

Saltysam on August 29, 2009 at 1:14 PM

I may be repeating an earlier comment; but isn’t there a disconnect here? Threatening to kill family members during interrogation of a terrorist but not curtailing predator drone strikes across the Pakistani border that kills terrorists and any close friends and relatives into the bargain is OK? Obama (because it’s plainly him through Holder actions) is truly dysfunctional. But then we knew this is only being thrown out there as a public distraction to buy time to salvage his disastrous national health care initiative and cover Pelosi’s posterior.

We don’t hate America – just YOUR America. Enjoy it while you can.

simplesimon on August 29, 2009 at 8:05 AM

Folks, this says it all about the evil within out nation!

Simpleton, OUR America has stood for 233 years. OUR America has been a shining light in an otherwise dim world. OUR America has fought to keep the entire world FREE from scumbags like those YOU love.

Obama and his thugs, and supporters like you are no different than Adolf Hitler and his Nazis, or Fidel Castro and Ernesto “Che” Guevara, or Benito Mussolini and his thugs.

Obama and his supports equal Pol Pot, Mao Tse Tung, and Joseph Stalin and their supporters.

All enemies of liberty and freedom.

This is why we can’t simply beat them at the ballot box. Obama supporters are enemies of freedom and liberty. Enemies of the Constitution. They are just as dangerous as Obama himself, if not more so.

If we allow people who think like Simplton here to remain, we will always be on the brink of destruction. We will always be only moments away from becoming a failed state like Soviet Russia, Nazi Germany, or Cuba (to name a few)

For the sake of freedom and liberty we must eradicate America of these sorts. First we take down Obama and his thugs at the ballot box. And take them down big time.

We must elect people that will dismantle, in short order, those organizations that facilitate the destruction of American freedom.

First we need to get the government out of the education business completely. That’s a states rights issue. The federal government has no role to play in the education of our children. The steady decline in our children’s education, and the rise in their radicalization can be traced back to the inception of the federal Department of Education.

The federal government’s involvement in education has given the opportunity for murdering terrorists like Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn to become “respected educators” who pollute the minds of our young with fantasies of communist utopias, of unattainable paradise. There are many Bill Ayers types in higher education as well as primary education.

We must outlaw labor unions of all sorts. They are little more than organized crime, and funding sources for the democrat/communist party.

Unions had a point 100 years ago. No longer. Free markets determine the proper wages. Look at the states, like Texas, with “right to work” laws that neuter the unions, strip them of any power. Their economies boom, and the workers are treated well, and paid well. No need for a union thug middle man to have his hand out for doing nothing.

We need to do a line by line audit of the federal budget, and all of the areas the federal government participates in. Most are unconstitutional, and limit liberty and freedom. They must be abolished.

And we must make EVERY agency subject to congressional oversight. No more agencies, like the EPA, that can just make it up as they go.

And speaking of Congress, we must DEMAND a constitutional amendment setting strict term limits for Congressmen and Senators. No more than two six year terms for Senators and six two year terms for Congressmen. RETROACTIVE!

Congressmen may run for the Senate when they are term limited out, but not while still in office, and on the taxpayers dime.

No one may run for President that still holds office in Congress. No more Barack Obama’s who only became a Senator to have a launching point to run for higher office and never actually participated in the business of Congress.

There of course, needs to be much more reform, but this is a good start.

But we need to eradicate those enemies of freedom and liberty, like Simpleton, in two ways. First, we need to encourage them, by every means, to move to the communist/socialist nation of their choice. Second, we must dismantle the institutions that breed this anti-American hatred. Those institutions that indoctrinate the young with the sickness and evil of “progressive-ism” and communism.

Until we get serious about this, American liberty and freedom is always in peril, but now more than anytime in our nation’s history.

It’s not just Obama. The dominant school of judicial reasoning says that the United States is forbidden to protect the public from violent individuals. The Bill of Rights, apparently, forbids the government from recognizing a lifetime commitment to evil. Destroying evildoers is cruel and unusual punishment. Even detaining them must be an unworkably long process, to ensure THEIR rights are protected. A focus on rights of the public against destruction, which drove case law in WW2 and the 1950s, is considered an era of shame and disgrace by these jerks.

But the gaping hole in the nihilism of judicial relativism is the pretense that the substance of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights may change, or evaporate altogether, but our allegiance to whatever form our masters decree unto us, is absolute.

When-not if- there’s another mass-casualty attack there’s gonna be bloody revolt.

Chris_Balsz on August 29, 2009 at 9:16 PM

I prefer ironic and Old School in regards to getting intel. Find and restain a terrorist.
Inject him with some properly cut, high grade heroin.
Dose him every other day.
Then every day.
Then a few times a day as he or she develops a serious “Jones”
Let the terrorist watch the cooking up and prep.
Get the terrorist to the point where you allow him to shoot himself up under supervison.
Then STOP!
My guess is that the terrorist would sell out everyone, including his mother for another fix!
************************************************************
Verify the intel
If it’s good. Let the terrorist shoot up again.
Lather. Rinse. Repeat.
Until the point of Diminishing Returns.
Let the terrorist shoot himself up with some un-cut Smack.
Cremate the body and dump the ahses in the Carribean.

Just a thought.

Jack.

These are issues you argue about AFTER you have won the War against an immoral, psychopathic, genocidal enemy like the jihadists of Imperialistic Islam.

Fighting in the trenches among yourselves only strengthens the enemy, meanwhile.

It is simply madness.

I wish the SCOTUS and POTUS has the flea’s brains needed to grasp the threat of the War we are in.

But clearly both branches are too withered with their own power-hungry, suicidally-short-sighted dementia to understand the grave global threat, or the wages of the World War we are in.

profitsbeard on August 30, 2009 at 10:31 AM

Just finished watching the interview on Fox this morning. Excellent.

What most of us refuse to face is that we have had domestic threats for some time and it comes from the top levels in D.C. Witness the letter of the former KGB man asserting that Ted Kennedy wished to undermine Reagan’s European missle defense shield by meeting with Yuri Andropov to get it derailed. I could go on.

We don’t need the FBI gathering intelligence on foreign nationals, unless they are already here. They certainly should not be in charge of interrogation, and certainly not ODumbo’s WH.

Leave the CIA alone. Let them do their job by getting at the threats before it’s too late.

But, failing to realize that those currently holding the reins of power are willingly working to undermine and control the plebes by aiding those threats to American liberties is dementia. They are the threat

OkieDoc on August 30, 2009 at 12:05 PM

Anyone who thinks the CIA was overboard in their treatment of the terrorists has never seen what we do to our special forces soldiers during their training. The military channel has a series on BUDS training for Navy SEALs.
AZfederalist on August 28,

True, however basic boot camp is more harsh than OMG blowing smoke in someone’s face!

Like learn to appreciate your MK5 would be one!

AKA “the Gas Chamber!”

Yes, you and 20 shipmates don your MK5 mask, check it for leaks, and march into a big white room.

The big white room starts to fill with white gas! Luckily you got your MK5 mask on!

Utho, you and 20 of your shipmates are now ordered to remove your MK5 mask.

At this point you will be absolutely convinced your MK5 mask actually was working!

Then your asked a bunch of questions and if EVERYBODY gets them all right, you can then leave the gas chamber and puke yur guts out.

I would bet there are 20 million vets who would rather of had Cigar smoke blown in their face as opposed being taught their MK5 mask really does work!
