Democrat: Republicans hate ObamaCare because they’re racists. Also, Castro’s a genius.
posted at 5:13 pm on August 28, 2009 by Allahpundit
Pro-ObamaCare + pro-Castro = one crazy delicious GOP attack ad. The boss has been tracking Diane Watson’s race-baiting for years, but there’s one nuance to this she doesn’t mention: Watson endorsed Clinton over Obama last year, and therefore presumably knows only too well how energized the conservative response to HillaryCare was 15 years ago. How can it be racist to oppose a black president’s program after opposing the same program proposed by a white president? Unclear, but consider this a fresh, exciting addition to our “national conversation on race.”
Also, I like the way she warns about America becoming a “failed state” if Obama’s agenda doesn’t succeed before praising Cuba in the next breath. Your ideas are intriguing to me, congresswoman, and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter. Exit question: She’s lifting her talking points here directly from Fidel himself, isn’t she?

Rep. Diane Watson on the passing of Senator Edward M. Kennedy
The world mourns the enormous loss of Senator Edward M. Kennedy, a giant among public servants, and the last of a generation of Kennedy brothers who leave a peerless legacy of public service.
With his passing, Camelot’s flag furls at half-mast for the lion and closes an era of vast accomplishments.
I extend my sympathy to his wife, Vicki, to his children and grandchildren, and to all Americans who will feel this tremendous loss.
Kennedy immersed himself into the cause of public service. In the U.S. Senate he found his passion, his voice, and his work. He committed himself to establishing a safety net that guarantees the protection and welfare of Americans.
Ted Kennedy’s legislative track record reflects a history of the progress in the area of civil rights, voting rights, education, healthcare and a myriad of other social services.
At the Democratic National Convention in August 2008, Kennedy stepped again onto the stage of history, and beckoned a young man to come forth and claim leadership of the mightiest nation in the world – the United States of America.
There is a mighty tribute we can offer in Senator Edward Kennedy’s memory; the passage of universal health care that he declared to be “the commitment of his life.”
Senator Kennedy deserves it. America needs it. Let’s do it!

albill on August 28, 2009 at 5:40 PM
Yep. But the question is whether this can happen. I fear that it will take the implosions of the cities (which will happen as unemployment rides up a couple of more points) for most of America (those not going to tea parties and the town halls) to understand what’s really going on, and that will be too late.
These marxists and race-hustlers are coddled and idolized on university campuses, in the media, in hollywood, … They have leverage on their side. They hold all the reins of power. They threaten race riots to keep people quiet (though those riots will be coming, anyway). It’s going to be very ugly. I’m bullish on secession.

A fly in the ointment here….Pres. Obortion is not the only black president to attempt major healthcare reform….
Therefore, since both black presidents are really the only one’s to attempt this reform, and both reform efforts were stridently opposed by Bible clingers and gun toters, the obvious conclusion is opposing healthcare reform is, in fact, a pre-post-racial era ideology, and an attack on black presidents.
Racist. The logic is pure.

Remember that Watson’s constituents love her. Why? In part, because they “look like her.”
They have grown up drinking the “equal opportunity” and “oppressed by them Man” Kool-Ade, and they know she will flout any law and bankrupt the nation to get them their entitlements. They know that other (e.g. white) people will tread carefully around Watson and her ilk, as they do for Osama Obama, out of fear of being branded “racist.”
This is something I don’t understand, and never have: if I vote for a decent, law-abiding white candidate instead of a slimy, lying, incompetent and unknown black candidate, I’m a racist. If Watson lies about the Black Jesus and gives black or brown people a pass when it comes to major failures and/or criminal behavior, that’s okay.

About this lie by Maxine Waters that Obama made the US respected overseas: Obama and liberal Democrats are entirely responsible for the renaissance of stories and articles about the “torture state USA” (that´s a literal quote).
I have seen the recent magazine covers. They wouldn´t write a word if not for the ongoing smear campaign by the left. After all, they rarely write a word about real torture elsewhere.
Outside of America, liberal lies doesn´t hurt Bush or “the right” – they hurts Americas standing in the world.
A German news agency recently described Tehran´s notorious Evin prison as “the Iranian Guantanamo”. I kid you not. As you know, in Evin people have been brutally maimed, raped and murdered in the thousands – and these people are innocent. It is exactly the opposite of Gitmo. For this sort of insane misrepresentation, you can thank Obama and his cheerleaders. No one else.

My personal story with Diane Watson:
I went to her house as part of the UCLA’s Dinner with 12 Strangers alumni mixer. She lives in Baldwin Hills–The Beverly Hills of Black America. However, her house is pretty modest. She went around and plunked down soul food in each of our plates. They were really good btw. She dropped mash potato on me, apologized and wiped down the stain, which I thought was pretty cool considering she’s a congresswoman. I came away with a good impression of her and that not every black congresswoman is like MY actual congresstw@–Maxine Waters.
This is disappointing and I will write her a letter about how disappointing her behavior has been in light of person I’ve seen her to be.

Look we can stop them using Federalist legal doctrines like Interposition and Nullification. Then the ball is on their court to see if they want to impose thier laws using force. Then we’ll see what happens.
The inner cities run the risk of exploding in riots in any number of scenarios but my bet is on the hubris of entitlement. But not yet. Wait for it. It’s coming. The same hubris at work in this Marxist congresswoman’s statement is at work in her “community”, they think they can act with impunity.

I’m in full agreement with you, elduende. I just think that federalist doctrine will lead to secession, as the federal government initially tries to impose its will on the states financially more than by force. The Porkulus and the feds trying to impose on the states, first by forcing the money and then later by threatening to revoke it (which the states should have said, ‘fine, take it back’), laid out what I see as the main line of attack by the feds. I just see some states deciding that there is no negotiation with the marxists in Washington – and there isn’t, really.
Ayers and Wright being white-washed during the election had a lot to do with it. That was the watershed, I think, for the truly public part.

Wouldn’t take the pancakes I was flipping, and made a point of going to “one of my kind” for her meal.
