UPDATE
Obama added General James Jones to the delegation to Poland. While that is still not the same level as heads of states, mostly Prime Ministers, from over 30 countries it is still better. Thanks HotAir and your readers.

Being of Czech decendent, and remembering the emotional and inspiring journey the Poles, and the Czech’s took to freedom from Russia in the 1980′s, I am so ashamed of the leadership of the US. Where is our Reagan?

This administration, the One and all his sycophants, are so embarrassing to the American people. I cannot begin to express my continued astonishment at the lack of dignity, class, knowledge of any kind of historical background, and the resulting mind boggling levels of ineptitude they show on the international stage.

To the Western World: We, the American People, apologize for our Dear Leader’s shameful lack of class.

To Poland in particular: We Americans, extend our respect and apologize for the One’s inability to pay honor to your history in any even remotely reasonable way. Please know that many of us will stand with you in spirit on that 70th Anniversary, remembering your history, your fight, what you suffered, and most especially, what you were able to overthrow and overcome. We honor those memories, and a grateful at the opportunity to stand with you in remembrance of those who fought so long ago, to preserve our way of life.

Perhaps, at the bottom of it, that is the problem. Obama cannot understand our way of life, or those of us who would fight to keep it. Instead, he feels he must apologize for it. He makes me ill, and hasn’t even served a year out yet. How am I to last through the remainder of this idiot’s term without my head exploding?!

First of all, thanks to Ed Morrissey for a mention of my site (PoloniaNews / pl-news.us) and the post. Unfortunately, I didn’t get my facts wrong. Poles did note that Hillary found time for a long stay in Africa. They are pissed off because just last week they had more casualties in Afghanistan. They also begin to think that Obama has some kind of quiet deal with Putin, and would like to ask about it. Not sending any current official allows Obama to avoid those questions.

In last few days Russian propaganda attacks Poland in horrible ways. One of them is an accusation that Poland allied with Hitler to attack Soviet Union. Also, they accuse Poland of war crimes during and after Polish-Soviet war of 1920, which Poland won.

When it comes to Ukraine, this time Poland will help this country with or without NATO (or US). Poles feel bad that they could not help their brothers (sometimes literally) in 1920s.

As embarrassed as I am about these clowns, I can’t say I am surprised. They campaigned on pulling out of “imperialist mode” that Bush supposedly used. So basically, we are gonna crap on all of our allies, weaken our defense capabilities and ruin our economy. Sounds like a great plan.

S. freighter SS Robin Moor is sunk by U-69 in the south Atlantic, becoming the first American merchant ship to be sunk in WWII. 4 September: DD-145 USS Greer is attacked by U-652 while escorting a British convoy in the North Atlantic. No damage is sustained. This is the first Axis attack on a U. S. warship in WWII. 17 October: U-568 torpedoes DD-432 USS Kearny, killing 11 men. They are the first U. S. Navy casualties of WWII. Perhaps,just perhaps, the scene of this anniversary Gdansk is like holding up a crucifix to a vampire. No other city in Europe may be more of a nightmare to someone like Obama and his friends than Gdansk.
Gdansk was the scene in 1980 of Solidarność, the first NON-COMMUNIST workers trade union in the ship yard there.
If you remember it was lead by Lech Wałęsa.
That trade union was anti-government and was the catylist for the anti-Communist movement in Poland which was the pre-cursor to the Reagan tear down this wall speech, and the eventual fall of Obama and his groups beloved Communist Party in Soviet Union

The F…..g Russians slaughtered the Polish office corps when they took over their share of Poland after the Germans invaded, and the Russians are sending ex KGB man Prime Minister Putin. Others are sending heads of States and we send someone from a previous administration.

Poland is more then World War II. It is a symbol the liberated nation of Eastern Europe who adored and wished to Emulate the United States. These are ideas Obama and his ilk, who have made a career demeaning this country cannot grasp. To show respect for Poland, a country which has a higher opinion of America then the left in America is simply too much for them.

Poland suffered horrendously and fought the axis and soviets bitterly. In Iraq Poland came though for us and sent a whole division. 1 out of every 8 German planes shot down in the Battle of Britain was down by polish pilots who kept p the fight. This is an outrage, plain and simple.

Sorry, this commemorates something that gives the U.S.A. glory, World War II, and not a reason to apologize for our existence. Thus, the Obama administration doesn’t want to acknowledge it.

They only acknowledge our (as perceived by them) mistakes. They won’t admit that the U.S. is great or that it has ever done anything worth honor or remembrance.

This is all because The Democrats don’t want to remind voters of exactly how far away from it’s height of glory, might and power, that they, The Democrats, have taken this country.

Obama is existentially liberal and he sees “equality” as the ultimate goal, both domestically, and internationally.

His policies, therefore, on both a domestic and international level are designed to weaken America – and our allies – , and by comparison, strengthen our competitors.

Policies toward allies such as Poland, Britain, Australia, etc. follow suit. This is why he “sucks up” to adversaries and “disses” allies.
