Daily Cal: Town Hall Protestors Take The Obstructive Way

I remember learning as a late teenager of then-President Ronald Reagan’s plan to destroy Nicaragua by funding a group of mercenaries known as the “Contras.” With CIA money, they killed, rampaged, and blew things up. I remember noticing how little effort it took to destroy something… It’s very easy to blast your way into the headlines and become the de facto winner of any argument, just by sheer firepower. The man who killed a handful of women at the gym early this month discovered this. His sick rant is now publicized all over the nation, thanks to his murderous rampage. Had he merely tried to argue his points, standing up in a discussion reasonably and making his case, he’d be a nothing.

The tea-party town hall protesters have learned this lesson well. They’ve discovered that there is no need to put forth good arguments, or to meaningfully debate their ideas at the congressional town halls set up just for that purpose. Why do that, when they can go on a rampage, yell and scream, intimidate and threaten?

Based on CBO’s forecast for the average unemployment rate in calendar year 2010, 2.3 million fewer people will be employed on average next year than they projected in January.

I guess he miss this and the claim by the Atlanta Fed that the unemplyment rate is really over 16% now…

Martin Crutsinger has a great ability to use a singular fact to prove something that is contrary to the larger reality. But he does cheerlead for the liberal agenda, so I understand why you’d believe him.

So it is only logical that the left inflicted the damage on their own property without regard for the law. They would even burn down their own house for the insurance money.

..also, Kristallnacht comes to mind. What with the impending “counter-demonstrations” coming up when The Pantload-in-Chief comes back from Martha’s Vineyard, it’s getting pretty eerie out there.

Expect an unrepetent Hollywood Leni Riefenstahl-type documenting these rallies and gatherings.

In reality the lesson is that when you have millions who make up a movement of whatever type you will find a few nuts.

Um, because it’s total fiction? Even if it weren’t, 560,000 new jobless (on top of the millions and millions and millions of others) isn’t good news in the real world.

Democratic Party Chairwoman Pat Waak initially blamed the Republican Party, telling The Denver Post that the attack was “an effort on the other side to stir up hate.”

She acted stupidly.

She should have just said

Chalk it up to another “fake but true”.

One more in a long line of “fake but true” from the tinfoil hatters, conspiracy theorists, paranoids and racists loons that make up the core of Obama supporters.

That is HUGE. What poise she has.
