Quote of the day

posted at 10:30 pm on August 25, 2009 by Allahpundit

“As White House senior adviser David Axelrod puts it, the president dislikes it when ‘folks try to get him to wear baseball gear for teams other than the White Sox.’

Other issues are related to the schedule and scrutiny of living in presidential bubble. He doesn’t like to miss his daily workout, which usually takes place in the morning or before an evening event. ‘If there’s no workout time, he’ll get a little upset,’ said one senior aide who has worked with Obama for more than four years…

Obama also confessed recently that one of his biggest pet peeves is what he calls ‘the shine police’ — aides and makeup artists who powder his face before he does television. ‘You notice that even before this interview, they constantly want to powder my nose and forehead and it’s never enough — that I find quite irritating,’ Obama told The Associated Press…

Another senior aide agrees: ‘If people aren’t prepared, if ideas are half-baked, he gets a little annoyed because he feels like he could be using his time better.’ People who don’t communicate directly and speechwriters who give him ‘wishy-washy’ language also get a thumbs-down.”

Ummmm has he heard himself speak? Does he listen when he talks? Half baked sums it up perfectly.

“People who don’t communicate directly and speechwriters who give him ‘wishy-washy’ language also get a thumbs-down.”

Well maybe if President Obama communicated directly to his speech writers he wouldn’t have this problem with “wishy-washy” language.

This sounds like a candidate for the Obamateurism of the day.

MALIGNANT NARCISSISM. The arrogance and ego of this low rent buffoon just makes me levitate. People who don’t have their ideas formed are wasting his time?? Good God. Time for the pot to meet the kettle.

I’d like to shoot the first fool who told Barry he was the greatest thing since sliced bread; His massive ego is going to be the death of America.

anniekc on August 26, 2009 at 8:23 AM

Doesn’t it just warm your heart that the president’s peeved by his own annoying outrageous behavior?

That’s right. He is irritated when supposedly treated as he does treat others. This is projection on Obama’s part; it is, in fact, a cry for help…

Barry’s begging to be saved from himself!

ConScribe on August 26, 2009 at 8:48 AM

All of those things would annoy me, too. As a White Sox fan i would rather wear nothing than a anything with a Cubs logo.

Bill C on August 26, 2009 at 8:51 AM

So he is petulant and has a short attention span?

Who’d have guessed?

How many real ‘silver star’ Moms & Dads missed a recital or little league game for employment demands? Ya know… paying taxes, paying off college loans, closing a deal, putting away a little in the 529 fund…?

Sack up, Barry. You wouldn’t have lasted 5 minutes playing hoops in my little old hometown.

bloviator on August 26, 2009 at 10:29 AM

sounds like he get wee-weed up quite often, blame the speech writers for that one too. He always blames anyone but himself.

la.rt.wngr on August 26, 2009 at 10:50 AM

The public national debt–$5.8 trillion as of 2008–is projected to double by 2012 and nearly triple by 2019. Thus, America would accumulate more government debt under President Obama than under every President in American history from George Washington to George W. Bush combined.

So he approved of “all wee weed up”?

You are ridiculous. First, what you or anyone else says here reflects only on the commenter. HotAir is defined by it’s owners. Second, if imagined association with anyone here brings you discomfort, I think you know how to fix that. Your moral superiority is as unjust as it is undeserved. Try bringing something to the conversation other than condemnation of your fellow commenters. Have a great day.

Cindy Munford on August 26, 2009 at 6:58 AM

That’s nonsense. I’m talking about the commenters, and the quality of commenters on right-of-center blogs has been diminished considerably over the last couple of years.

Please, repeat another stale Mary Jo joke for me to show me how bright and compassionate you are. I haven’t fulfilled my quota yet today.
