Quote of the day
posted at 9:29 pm on August 23, 2009 by Allahpundit
“He is trying to fix the financial markets but does not have an assistant treasury secretary for financial markets. He is spending more money on transportation than anyone since Dwight D. Eisenhower but does not have his own inspector general watching how the dollars are used. He is fighting two wars but does not have an Army secretary.
He sent Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton to Africa to talk about international development but does not have anyone running the Agency for International Development. He has invited major powers to a summit on nuclear nonproliferation but does not have an assistant secretary of state for nonproliferation. He has vowed to improve government efficiency but does not have the chief performance officer he promised.
‘If you’re running G.M. without half your senior executives in place, are you worried? I’d say your stockholders would be going nuts,’ said Terry Sullivan, a professor at the University of North Carolina and executive director of the White House Transition Project, which tracks appointments.”

One of the big problems with this is that USAID plays a critical role in “The Chosen War”TM (Afghanistan) as the military works with USAID for many of the PRT projects.
Maybe by not filling these positions he is showing us how little we need any of these positions and trying to save $100,000.

How many more days before we can expect a major diversionary tactic from the Vacationer-In-Chief? Everything he’s picked up, he’s dropped and everything he’s touched, he’s broken. His health care program is like a snowball headed for Hell. They can’t even give away cars and get it right! Dear Leader needs the attention refocused….and, as we say in Texas, RAT QUICK LIKE.

Oh, that’s any lib. But why him, when Hillary was more recognized? The Left would have voted for her, were she the candidate. How did the libs let Obama into their primary? Usually, a candidate gets to be the candidate after years and years of service.
I wonder if maybe this gets blacks out the Dems’ way, so to speak, to push their agenda harder.

Didn’t get much for a CinC either.
Wonder how Chris “First Rate Intellect” Buckley is feeling right now.
His blog ought to be called the “Daily Boob”, not the “Daily Beast”. Not as an assault on Buckley’s intellect, but because it is less offensive than calling it the “Daily Breast”. This would be more apropos because it is a double entendre upon Mr. Buckley’s act of looking only upon the outer appearance of the candidate Obama. Like those men who look first at the female anatomy and are entranced by the outer beauty of a certain lady’s form only to later find out that she is a complete dunce and dunderhead with an ugly internal attitude, Mr. Buckley gazed upon the candidate Obama, his teleprompter reading skills, and the literary content of the books upon which his authorship is attributed. Buckley failed to listen to what the candidate was really saying or not saying or the associations and background of the candidate. Like the dunderhead beauty queen, the candidate cum president is now showing that deep, inner Chicago thug politician personality and attitude. Those “moderates” entranced by the outer shell are now getting a dose of the shrew inside.

Since Barry is racial, I doubt many would trust a black Republican in the future for a long time.
I’m not entirely sure what I’m seeing and considering in all this, but it has a fishiness about it. I doubt Hillary would have been an embarrassment the way Obama is.

GarandFan on August 23, 2009 at 10:56 PM
I agree, Liam, something just doesn’t feel quite right, and it’s not passing the proverbial “smell test.”
Why did the DNC machine throw its weight and money to a virtual unknown with a shady and undocumented past and no experience, rather than launch the same massive Obama-type campaign for Hillary? With Hillary came Bill, a still very popular former prez with eight years in office. (Not that I would have voted for her, I’m just sayin…)
Is it the soft racism of low expectations? Perhaps, but I’m not so sure. That may be one angle, albeit a small one. There’s something greater than this taking place behind the curtain that we have yet to discover, and I believe Der Leader is but a small fish in a very large sea of political power-grabbing and the concurrent destruction and demise of our great nation.
That Obama is literally surrounded with the strangest group of czars who hold some totally whacked out beliefs on every aspect of our lives can be no mere coincidence.
I truly hope that those who oppose Obama will stay strong and keep the pressure on him and his minions over the months that lie ahead. Perhaps then the curtain will be pulled back and we’ll see not only what they are all so desperately trying to hide, but also to whom and which country (or countries) they owe their allegiance.

We need to come up with a term that sums up this disaster of a presidency. Catastrophe is just not adequate, we need a word that is unique to this particular fiasco.
We could just start using Obama as a synonym for failure. For example,
“I studied all night, but I still Obamad the test”
“The plane crash left limbs, viscera, and the still screaming scattered over the hillside, the lone survivor described the event as a complete Obama.”
Obamdenberg? Obamastrophe? I feel like it’s on the tip of my tongue but I can’t quite grasp it.

Now, reverse this and it is the “voice in the wilderness” few who brave-all (dare I say they are “girding their loins?)” to take their VERY LIVES IN THEIR HANDS MIND YOU! to attend the town hall meetings of Republican reps!
Now, when these honest, brave, brave folk–who truly truly desire health
careINSURANCE reform–ask their oh-so-respectful questions of their carnivorous republican representatives, anyone want to take a monetary bet how many rabblerousers will be there to shout down that poor, caring citizen??????Crickets! I hear crickets! But dang, they is LOUD crickets!

Now I don’t claim
To be an A student
But I’m trying to be
‘Cause maybe by being
and A student baby
You could give
your Karl Marx to meeeeee

You with your Hotair blogin’
And you skeptics always contemplatin’
How my coronation you’d like to start rearrangin’
When that’s not what you really should do
When heaven has found you
Can’t you see
That it’s all wrapped up in the Messiah that’s Me
So follow Me
Come on, tax payers
Follow Me
I’m Obama the Piper
And I’ll show you where Hope and Change is at
Come on, tax payers
Can’t you see
I’m Obama the Piper
Trust in Me
Tax payers
Don’t be worried about payin’ big bucks to help Me move and grove
Hey, tax payers
What do you think I’m tryin’ to prove
It ain’t true
That My Michelle would like to punch and rob your kids and you
It’s just in your mind
And that’s all that’s trickin’ you
So behind all My
sheepcelebrities step in lineCome on, tax payers
Pony them big bucks up for Me
Come on, tax payers
Trust in
George SorosMy Teleprompter and MeCome on, tax payers
Can’t you see
Come on, tax payers
Follow Me
