Oh my: Obama being called a fascist now … on Air America

Via Red State, proof positive that there are some Obama lies so shameless that even the left won’t spin them for him. This is Naked Emperor News’s second video on The One’s oh-so-shady backroom deal with the pharmaceutical lobby; the first one was entitled “Obama’s Mother of All Political Lies,” a description I don’t agree with but which Air America apparently does. Watching this, it’s not just the dishonesty of his campaign promises that galls, it’s the sanctimony he displayed in misleading his cultists to believe things would be drastically different under Hopenchange. The pandering during the Billy Tauzin clip in particular is enough to make you queasy. Like the lady says, “a charming liar.”
File the fascist bit at the end away for the next time David Letterman or MSNBC or whoever wrings their hands about heated rhetoric at the town-hall protests.

It’s not that she says he’s a charming liar; it’s that she giggles like a schoolgirl when she says it. The libs are getting the chance they wanted to see themselves in power and they are slowly realizing that it’s an even uglier picture than when the other side was holding the reigns.
It’s not that liberals aren’t smart; it’s that they’ve been put through a system in the universities (and now high schools) which indoctrinates rather than teaches them how to question and analyze. They can listen to the deceitful double-talk of this Administration and Congress and continue to nod in approval, because it’s the familiar. The mantra of “Hope. Change. Yes, we can,” continues to swirl in their heads and obfuscate the truth.

Regarding the deal with Pharma (from M. Cannon at Cato):
“In June, the pharmaceutical lobby PhRMA agreed to give 50 percent discounts to seniors in Medicare’s “doughnut hole,” where enrollees now pay 100 percent of their drug costs. President Obama hailed the agreement as a “significant breakthrough,” while PhRMA spun it as their $80 billion contribution toward health care reform.
Yet the PhRMA agreement would not save taxpayers $80 billion. It would cost them $80 billion, and then some.
Under the agreement, the full price of each drug would continue to count toward seniors’ catastrophic deductible. As a result, even more seniors would exceed that deductible, after which taxpayers would pay 95 percent of their drug costs. Obama also agreed to oppose stricter price controls for government purchases. PhRMA members agreed to cut their prices for seniors only because Obama agreed that taxpayers would buy more drugs at higher prices.
Think about it: Would drug companies enter this agreement unless they knew they would be net winners? Lobbyists never advocate less revenue for their members”

It took Jon Voight in today’s Washington Times to state the unmentionable, “is Obama trying to start a Civil War?” We already see weapons being brandished at Town Halls where he shows up to speak and SEIU violence in St.Louis. God knows ther has been no shortage of hot-heads in the threads with innuendos(an understatement I know)of preparation for armed conflict. Hell, it is no secret that other than Cash for Clunkers the only business that is booming since September has been arms & ammo. There are waiting lists, beleive me, I know!

I used to think that maybe I was being too optimistic when I thought that maybe we (conservatives) were finally finding our voices en mass and that maybe, just maybe, even those who voted for this sham of a man would wake up and see him for what he really is. The RNC really needs to run ads that don’t even need a focus, just keep playing over and over in a slick montage, all of his bold faced lies and promises until it is clear to anyone that they were bamboozled at best, manipulated at worse. Let the public’s imagination link any single lie to the decision/policy of their choice, in their own minds. Powerful. Better than just being told something.

Since the trial lawyers are one of the major contributers to his and other Dems campaigns he can’t afford to go against them. On the other hand it’s obvious that this is one of the most important reforms necessary to saving our healthcare system from excessive waste and unnecessary expenditures. The media realize that they are increasingly viewed as unprofessional, completely biased lapdogs, and, hence, are rendered less effective.

I recently returned to school at age 50 to finish up my bachelor’s degree. One of the first classes I was required to take was Critical Thinking. I’ve been doing it most of my life but I still learned from the class. Perhaps we should start teaching it at a much younger age and for more than just one semester. There are far too many people out there who don’t even attempt to practice it.
