You know that the reason for all of these disgusting celebrations was one that was entirely religiously-based and not based in any way on Libyan nationalism?

One of the most important ways in defeating Islamic and Arab extremism is to know when we are fighting one and when we are fighting another.

If we are fighting the pan Arab nationalism of a Qaddaffi or a Nasser, our policies are different than if we’re fighting the religious extremism of the Sayyid Qatbs or Muslim Brotherhood.

I like to understand our enemies in order to more easily defeat them.

And your stated purpose for doing so was to minimize, if not dismiss, Islam as the motivation behind terrorism and their supporters, (the celebrating crowd), instead ascribing their motivation to tribalism despite all of evidence to the contrary.

As I repeteadly stated, whatever the reason for the cheering was it was disgusting and appalling.

one reason why they probably weren’t notified is obama’s master diplomacy towards the u.k, p.m. brown, and the queen.
1. crating and sending the sculpture of churchill back to the u.k.
2. giving p.m. the cold shoulder on his first trip to the u.s. since obama was sworn in. didn’t even meet him at the airport!
3. state department saying that their is nothing special about our relationship with the u.k. they are like every other country in state’s eyes. burma, north korea, syria, LLIBYA, et al.
4. giving prime minister brown the idiotic gift of dvd’s in the wrong format when p.m. brown gives a hugely symbolic gift.
5. not notifying the united kingdom about our deal to release terrorists on u.k. soil in the bahamas.

any wonder now why the scots or english didn’t bother to notify us? we’ve distanced our self and given the cold shoulder to the country we had extremely close ties with for close to several centuries!! we share more culturally with the u.k. than any other country.

obama and his lackies have pissed it all away.

My cousin was supposed to be on this flight. She missed the flight because she became ill, and lost close friends of hers who were on the plane. I haven’t talked to her since hearing this news today.

Your cousin likely remembers what Seat Number she had. She must have been curious who took her place?

My best friend was a young 1st Lt coming home for Christmas in Seat 33K. Seated beside him a teenage lad from Oxfordshire, UK. In front of him, a 2 month old from Michigan. Behind him, a lovely young Syracuse coed.

When Clipper Maid of the Seas disintegrated and petalled back to her wings– catipulating the Michigan infant and those others innocents in front of him into the cold, dark stormy skies– he and British teen and Syracuse girl rode the intact fuselage down together for long minutes before impact in Sherwood Crescent. The horror of those memories still haunt me.

I just can’t imagine the anguish this is causing the victims’ loved ones. Their wounds will never heal.

This is such an awful, awful betrayal.

For the rest of us, we have a fight on our hands. Incidents like this are useful in sorting out who will fight and who will cave.

Mostly Christian pacifists, snivelers and milksops. They’re a sign that the West has succeeded too well in establishing societies where you and I can live and go about our lawful business without ever once hearing a gun fire. These people simply have no memory of danger. In the case of the Scots and the other Euros, it’s probably a case of self-willed amnesia.
