Quotes of the day
posted at 10:30 pm on August 20, 2009 by Allahpundit
“Yes, the rumors are true, I will be guest hosting The View while Elisabeth is on maternity leave. I couldn’t be more honored or excited!!!!!”
***
“In spite of what you see … in the newspapers, and on shows like ‘The View’ — I don’t know if any of you saw ‘The View’ yesterday, they picked our bones clean — in spite of what you see, that’s not what the American people are saying and what they are believing,” says Mrs. McCain, per ABC News’ Arnab Datta.”
***
“And when we walked out and I saw him I said, ‘Senator, so nice to see you. I hope you’ll come on The View again.’ And he looked at me and said, ‘Not anytime soon.’”

I think with Congress back in session in September (when she is slated to appear) that healthcare debate would really heat up. And Senator Kennedy is at death’s door from all accounts. ABC or NBC or whoever runs this show (I have never seen it, never will) would not dare to have a legitimate, articulate Conservative female as guest host. They would not dare to.

Let me pay my early remembrance tribute.
Ted Kennedy’s MySpace entry:
Hi there fellow bloggers. My name is United States Senator Edward Moore Kennedy from the Great State of Massachusetts. You can call me Ted if you want. I was born on February 22, 1932, although people tell me that I look at least 20 years younger.
I graduated from Harvard in June 1956 in the top 10% of my class. I also passed my law bar on my very first try.
I am one of the most senior members of that grand and much loved and respected institution known as the U.S. Senate. All my colleagues respect me and very often come to me for my wise council and advise. I must admit though that when John and Lindsey ask me to turn around and pull my pants down so that they can kiss my ass it does get a little much, but it’s gratifying anyway!
In fact I am so powerful now that I am, in many ways the defacto President of the United States. How’s that for a boy who had to work his way through college?
I am handsome and tall with a muscular build. The ladies just can’t get enough of me. Sometimes I think it is almost a curse.
I sometimes like to chill out after a long day of serving the American people by having a double martini. Contrary to what some of my very few enemies say I never have more than one drink at a time. Well sometimes one for each hand, but that’s it, never two glasses in each hand, except on special occasions like the arrival of 6PM.
I am a lot of fun after work. I am an excellent driver and sometimes I like to go on long drives and see how many bridges I can cross without getting wet. It’s a lot of fun! All the women tell me that I am just too much!
I would like to think that I am open minded, honest, polite, a good swimmer and trustworthy. And I appreciate the same qualities in others.
Who I’d like to meet:
…other progressive bloggers. People who like to drink adult beverages in copious amounts. Cool people who live close to Washington D.C. so that we can get together and talk about how my niece Caroline will become
duchesssenator fromNew YorkMassahwhatsis. That way Kennedy’s will have 1 out of 100 senate seats and as I always figure it’s a start. I figure Patrick should be number 2 and then we can really get going from there. I’ll check in from Hell and see how things are going every chance I get.MB4 on August 21, 2009 at 12:56 AM

I think we all dislike Meghan McCain so much because her flaws are her father’s flaws in the microcosm of celebutardom. Had he not been so flawed, we would not now be stuck with Obama.
-
But for the record, the economy would have done so well with him. Freezing and reevaluating all non-necessity federal programs? Health insurance companies allowed to cross state lines?
-
But as long as the media is slaves/minions/grateful servants of the radical left, they will be doling out these “republican voices we’re willing to publish” platforms to republican-hating future democrats willing to masquerade for the time being as conservatives. So if it wasn’t her, it’d be somebody else. But I understand why she pushes everyone’s buttons (she perfectly reminds us of why we lost last year)

txag92 on August 21, 2009 at 1:53 AM
Oh Yay for Meghan McCain. On teevee again and co-hosting The View. Meghan McCain, the official self-appointed “Young Republican Muse”, will once again get to abuse her privileged position at the Dais to tell the world that the Republican party that her Daddy has helped water down needs to get over themselves and accept her and her gaggle of lightweight Political Minds in the Once-Grand Old Party.
People like Meghan McCain are simply nothing more than Democrat-Lite. The Republican party used to believe in real Conservative Principles, and act on them. People like me have left the Republican party because of people like Meghan McCain, by way of her Daddy and his cronies like Lindsey Graham.
Meghan McCain once said, “I am consistently asked why I would want to stay in a party that has members so angry about my involvement. It’s as simple as this: I idealistically believe in the Republican Party, and I also have an emotional connection to it.”
Right! It runs through your veinssss and has since you were ‘in utero’. It got your Daddy this far, so why shouldn’t it work for you too? Your Daddy was once one of Ronald Reagan’s “Foot Soldiers” when he was a more Conservative Congressman from Apache Territory, long before he became a “Maverick” Senator from Scottsdale.
All you have ever done, ever, oh pampered and privilged one, is ride his coattails.
A word of advice for you, Gidget: When we need advice on Moisturizer, trendy Hand Bags, or Motley Crue footwear with pink toenail polish, we’ll look to you baby-doll. But, when we need solid affirmation of our Conservative Belief System, we’ll always and forever continue to rely on true Republican conservatives… just as soon as we find some.

Mommypundit on August 21, 2009 at 2:37 AM
Oh, sorry. But in that case, perhaps you could help me with a question that I’ve puzzled over for many years:
What does “Kemo Sabe” mean?
Loxodonta on August 21, 2009 at 2:38 AM
She has absolutely nothing credible or of any value whatsoever to say about anything except maybe how many big macs she can pound down in 30 seconds or how to wax your pubic hair without screaming too much.
She’s so stupid she thinks the senate was named after her. (Don’t even try, I can figure that one out either)
She looks up to warthogs like rosey o’donnel and cindy sheehan, so obviously she’s the most qualified to speak about conservative values and how rosy and cindy have it right. She thinks code pink is a wonderful color and silver spoons make baby food taste just absolutely keen.
Rest assured, there is no danger of me even accidentally tuning into the view to watch her train wreck of nonsensical rino speak. I think she’ll get so mentally tangled up she’s just going to defer to whoopie and agree with that other liberal cow. If she makes sense of a single talking point that isn’t rino or pure liberal it’d be a fluke mistake on her part with odds akin to winning a lotto.
But I’m sure we can count on fatass McBurger updated daily here, as her mouth is so damn big she can fit 20 of her own feet in there at a time, and Allah loves the weenie.
I hope someone on the set of that show replaced her ‘water’ glass on set with a nice glass of wee wee, that’s the only thing that would actually be worth seeing…..”ahhhh, delicious, but why is this water so salty?”
Ugh. enough. It’s bedtime.
