Don't know much about history
Don't know much about economy
Don't know much about math books
Don't know why I get dirty looks
But I do know that I love me
Me and TOTUS are the way it should be

Jimmie Johnson? What about Jeff Gordon for those San Fransisco NASCAR fans.

Jeff from WI on August 20, 2009 at 9:18 AM

I think Kyle Bush is more to their temperament. Jeff Gordon is a family man now.

Oh please. Ryan Newman couldn't get around Pocono Raceway without a map, a gps and a guide book. :D

Besides, Mark Martin is the greatest driver still on the track today. Even those rabid Junior Zombies (who are alot like the 0bamabots) know it deep down.

You don't expect him to know anything about American History do you? After all, he spent all of his youth living around the world. Just because NASCAR is the biggest sport in the country and was founded 52 years ago, you won't expect him to know anything about it. Apparently the TOTUS didn't do enough research on this one. Or maybe the liberal nencompoops who work at the White House haven't been out of Chicago or Washington, to fly-over country in the last 52 years.

At least this one is relatively minor. You know, recent history (like this century) is often harder to document than ancient history.

Awful, simply awful.

That's like saying that Babe Ruth was impressive for all those games he pitched for the Yankees.

Seriously. Some idiot staffer wrote this for him, that probably mangled up a Wiki article, it isn't like this tool actually has ever watched a race, or could tell the difference between a distributor and a carb. For God's sake, if it was up to him, we'd all be driving a Honda Prius.

I hope that Iowahawk gets ahold of this.

Aw, c'mon people. Let's cut the POTUS a break, huh? So, he got it wrong how many singles and doubles races that Billie Jean King won in her extensive NASCAR career. So what? Sports stats are apparently not his thing.

I'm sounding the clarion call for a NASCAR Czar immediately. The cars go too fast. The fans drink too much beer. They're mostly conservatives. We can save on health care if the drivers stop getting hurt. In fact, let's just eliminate (or tax) the South and anything we might think is fun. After all, we talk funny and most of us still believe in the Constitution--and we can't have that!

NASCAR is more than a sport, it is a lifestyle choice. What is incongruent is what a radical Chicago street thug is doing hosting a NASCAR champ. There is little about the sport and its spectators that are relevant to the world of the filthy liar in the White House.

I think drinking cheap beer and waiting for women to take their tops off is a relevant lifestyle choice to pretty much any straight American male. Even I've done it (rock festivals, beach parties) What else do you do at a race, anyway?

Anyone here ever read this classic piece. Not being snarky for a change: y'all might like it (though Wolfe's writing style can be annoying at times.)

I think drinking cheap beer and waiting for women to take their tops off is a relevant lifestyle choice to pretty much any straight American male. Even I’ve done it (rock festivals, beach parties) What else do you do at a race, anyway?

Anyone here ever read this classic piece. Not being snarky for a change: y’all might like it (though Wolfe’s writing style can be annoying at times.)

What? You expect a man who grew up in Indonesia to know anything about American traditions? Its must different to read about it in some lib-infested history book versus actually living the values....

Digger is for little kids, to get 'em hooked early.

NASCAR is for families.

I wonder if Obama even knows that NASCAR is a big reason for the popularity of big diesel motorhomes, another industry his crap and tax policy will kill of for good.

That will help keep Indiana and North Carolina blue won't it?

Motorhomes are built in Indiana and end up going to North Carolina for race weekend.
