Democrat: Grassley’s fear of euthanasia in ObamaCare is an “act of treason”

posted at 12:52 pm on August 19, 2009 by Allahpundit

Another golden nugget mined by the Wash Times from Eric Massa’s panderfest at Nutroots Nation. The money bit comes at around 38 seconds in. Despite all the other leftist demagoguery of the past three weeks — “brown shirts” and “political terrorists” and “un-Americans” and “evil-mongers” — this is the first time someone’s seriously suggested a criminal element to the sort of rhetorical grenade-tossing Grassley engaged in. It’s no absent-minded choice of words, either: Note the repeated references to “enemies” that precedes it, a fine insight into how his bloggy constituents tend to view the right.

Past a certain point all this screeching from congressional Democrats starts to sound like noise, but keep tipping us to it when you see it. It’ll be nice to have easy access to this stuff in the archives for the next time the Times runs a “climate of hate” hit piece on the GOP or whatever.

When has a Lefty ever gave a whit about loyalty to the United States?

Massa knows he’s toast next year, so he’s going to work to pass every leftist dream he can and position himself for a cushy follow on job.

More projection from the treasonous left, who, themselves, are working hard to violate our Consitution, destroy our nation and give aid and comfort to every enemy of America around.

I, for one, will not be satisfied with anything less than the Washington junta being brought up on treason charges, in the unlikely event that the US makes it through their anti-American reign in one piece – and that is from the rotting fish head at the top all the way to the most brain-dead leftist Congress-critter.

With the coming second leg of the credit crisis, many others will be calling for the same exact thing.

Massa thinks that his Annapolis background and career in the Navy makes him immune from any backlash against him from calling a senator a traitor. Unfortunately, from time to time even the Naval Academy produces a really dim bulb.

If this guy somehow squeaks out a win next year, it’ll show the whole country how truly stupid we voters in NY-29 really are.

1984 is coming. We will live in a country where the message is, it’s not the State that has betrayed you, it is your family, your friends, your co-workers.

They have betrayed you. They are in the way of Utopia. They must be informed upon. They must be dealt with.

For in a Republic, who is “the country?” Is it the Government which is for the moment in the saddle? Why, the Government is merely a servant- merely a temporary servant; it cannot be its prerogative to determine what is right and what is wrong, and decide who is a patriot and who isn’t. Its function is to obey orders, not originate them.
- Mark Twain

We teach them to take their patriotism at second-hand; to shout with the largest crowd without examining into the right or wrong of the matter, exactly as boys under monarchies are taught and have always been taught. We teach them to regard as traitors, and hold in aversion and contempt, such as do not shout with the crowd, and so here in our democracy we are cheering a thing which of all things is most foreign to it and out of place, the delivery of our political conscience into somebody else’s keeping. This is patriotism on the Russian plan.
- Mark Twain

The true patriotism, the only rational patriotism, is loyalty to the Nation ALL the time, loyalty to the Government ONLY when it deserves it.
- Mark Twain

Giving money or support to actual enemies of the US killing US soldiers (ex// Code Pink in Iraq, Fonda in Vietnam, Sean Penn in Iraq, etc.) = spirited dissent, the highest form of patriotism.

Opposing a proposed government plan using reasonable projections based on other similar systems = treason?

They’re really insane aren’t they? Not rhetorically, but truly delusional. I noticed long ago that they use the language of therapy, grievance mongering, economic determinism, and education when violent enemies are concerned, but the language of war when dealing with political opponents.

Beagle on August 19, 2009 at 1:06 PM

What a scumbag. Crap like this is pretty much Bolshievik tactics.

If he’s resigned to defeat in 2010, than the way to wreck this fool’s dreams is to torpedo socialized health care and watch him cry.

It’s pretty sad. One day the world will wake up to the stupidity of socialism, but I fear it might take the destruction of the US economy.

And even then, the Kommissars and Zampolits will blame Bush.

He’s right about one thing, this is a war, a civel war occurring right now in our nation.

Socialists/Marxists like Obama, Massa, Shumer, Weiner, Boxer, Waters, et al, versus those of us who believe in the history, traditions, liberty and free market principles that made this nation great.

They are the enemy, not us! We are following in the steps of the founders of this nation, they are following the steps of Lenin, Marx, Stalin, and Mao.

Right now, this war is fought on the battlefield of ideas, but, if this keeps up, it may spill into the streets. I for one, would join in the resistance against this takeover of the U.S. government.

This Massa guy, same one who also said that he’d support Obama Care “even if” his constituents did not, declaring that he thought of himself as heroic to do this in defiance of those who elected him (so we assume, at least — but perhaps this is Massa letting slip that he was not elected by the constituents but by “other forces” at work in his district, which is what I took from his ghastly remarks).

So he’s even bull-headedly charging that he won’t uphold the Constitution, he’s outright admitting that he won’t, by will, by intent, by determination.

Now THAT is treason. When you’ve been sworn into office by vowing to protect and defend the Constitution, and then you declare that you will not, absolutely won’t, will just not do it, well, that’s treason. By Massa.

More evidence …

THE DEMOCRATS HAVE DECLARED WAR ON AMERICANS.

This is the first step – throwing the “traitors” and “enemy” rhetoric around. You heard it from the Union Thugs who attacked a Black Conservative at a town hall … “HE ATTACKED AMERICA!” as justification for their assaults.

How much more proof is needed that the Democrats are indeed at war with Americans. They have released a report painting us as “right wing terrorists” and implicated military personnel also.

This is all either incredibly stupid – or it’s a deliberate attempt to “prep” Americans for a crackdown in which the President’s political enemies are silenced using whatever means necessary.

The Democrats already know, or should know – they’re taking major losses next year. They’re going out of power as quickly as they come up for re-election. The question is – is all this just rhetoric spit by fools or will they take the next step … and steal the elections using any means they can?

Before you dismiss the latter – consider the fact that it’s the Democrats that have consistently escalated both devious political tactics and inflammatory rhetoric. At some point – it becomes impossible to escalate those two measures any further – and something more physical must be resorted to in order to achieve satisfaction.

Think.

Outstanding choice of words and that is what this has boiled down to.

Healthcare reform became health insurance reform when the filthy liar in the White House needed a demon to attack.

Lately the buzz words have been competition and choice (probably from some focus group) to apply free-market vocabulary to the idea that the state should seize 1/6 of the economy for what would ultimately become a single-payer plan.

Throughout the whole debate the left has called dissent treason and compared dissenters to a long list of perjoratives among them nazis and evil-mongerers.

In the aftermath of the healthcare war of 2009, let it be said that there was no conversation or public debate. Just name calling and thug tactics from the filthy liar and his party. Any “Democrat” who sits by silently as this is going on is as guilty as the rat bastard traitors actually destroying the nation. They should be given no latitude when the blame is being handed out.

Next year won’t be so decidedly anti-Republican, EVEN if Obama can somehow sustain a moderate comeback. Over a year out from his reelection, Massa looks to be shooting himself in both feet.

I think Massa was yesterday letting it slip that he was “elected” by some measure or means that is not that by the actual voters. He’s declaring his determination to vote for something that even his constituents don’t want and saying that that’s his duty or whatnot, while what I believe that reveals is Massa letting it slip that he’s honoring “who” actually DID get him into office (which wasn’t the voters there).

So I think Massa’s just revealing that he’s only there to serve his “actual” master and that ain’t the voters.

Here’s the link to the SENATE/TED KENNEDY version of Healthcare takeover.

It just keeps getting better and better.

pages 382-387. This Healthcare bill (version) provides for groups to get FEDERAL GRANTS to monitor people/community diets!!!!

Hey, how about some of the Members of Congress get with the weight loss program they want us to be on?

UNFREAKING BELIEVABLE

For one single GOP Senator to vote for this piece of BLLLLEEEP is just incredible.

Here is the section…

Subtitle C—Creating Healthier
Communities

SEC. 321. COMMUNITY TRANSFORMATION GRANTS.
(a) IN GENERAL.—The Secretary of Health and
Human Services (referred to in this section as the ‘‘Sec10
retary’’), acting through the Director of the Centers for
Disease Control and Prevention (referred to in this section
as the ‘‘Director’’), shall award competitive grants to
State and local governmental agencies and community
based organizations for the implementation, evaluation,
and dissemination of proven evidence-based community
preventive health activities in order to reduce chronic dis
ease rates, address health disparities, and develop a

Oh, my gosh! Great minds think alike. ;)

Someone should record that song, “Granma got run over by a reindeer” with…

“Granma got run over by Obama…”

Lourdes on August 19, 2009 at 1:27 PM

It was done during the “typical white woman” incident. I think it was Paul Shanklin on Rush.

zmdavid on August 19, 2009 at 1:31 PM

Thanks, too. I was thinking about that song about a month ago with that altered lyric, glad someone else had the same idea and actually recorded it.

OT: Obama talking to religious leaders soon.

Message: let’s have governmental charity because Obama knows how to direct the money we choose to donate better than we know do.

Massa knows he’s toast next year, so he’s going to work to pass every leftist dream he can and position himself for a cushy follow on job.

Reminiscent of a parable of Jesus:

Luke 16:1 And he [Jesus] said also unto his disciples, There was a certain rich man, which had a steward; and the same was accused unto him that he had wasted his goods. 2 And he called him, and said unto him, How is it that I hear this of thee? give an account of thy stewardship; for thou mayest be no longer steward. 3 Then the steward said within himself, What shall I do? for my lord taketh away from me the stewardship: I cannot dig; to beg I am ashamed. 4 I am resolved what to do, that, when I am put out of the stewardship, they may receive me into their houses. 5 So he called every one of his lord’s debtors unto him, and said unto the first, How much owest thou unto my lord? 6 And he said, An hundred measuresa of oil. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and sit down quickly, and write fifty. 7 Then said he to another, And how much owest thou? And he said, An hundred measuresb of wheat. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and write fourscore. 8 And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light.

This is the kind of junk we’re up against.
Oh have you heard the one about Soros investing in Brazil’s oil company right before Obama grants them $2B of our money?

All you health care protestors need to just shut up and say, “Thank you, MASSA.”

You are too stupid to know what is best for you.

And people wonder why I am starting to think that this country has been ireparably sundered.

The two poles are so far apart, that there is no way they can continue to live in the same country.

I am a evil-hate-mongering racist who likes guns, is an un-american american terrorist who likes tea bags, that also is astroturfing with nazi mobs, rednecked but dresses like a slob, treasonous leper and I eat cow, burn gas and oil and natural gas, I hate hugging trees, hate killing babies in the womb but have no problem with the death penalty… and I hate the government.

Yeah that sounds about right.
